BJP today came down heavily on the Aam Aadmi Party after the Supreme Court pulled up Delhi government over funds for the construction of Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridors.
The Apex Court questioned the claim of the city government that it could not contribute to the RRTS project due to paucity of funds and asked it to submit the details of its expenditure on advertisements.
Briefing media in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said the Delhi government has released 1106 crore rupees in the last three years for advertisements but it is saying that it does not have money to give 1138 crore rupees of its contribution for the RRTS Project.
He alleged that the AAP government has money for advertisements but not for better facilities for people.
Mr. Bhatia accused Mr. Kejriwal of being corrupt citing alleged scams including the Excise Policy scam in the nation capital under his rule.
