Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh has been suspended from Rajya Sabha for the remaining part of the current Monsoon Session for his unruly behavior. When the House met after the first adjournment at 12 Noon, opposition members trooped into the well, raising slogans over the Manipur violence issue. Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar repeatedly asked Mr. Singh to go back to his seat but continued with the protest. Amid din, Leader of the House Piyush Goyal moved a motion to suspend Mr. Singh from the remaining part of the session for disobeying the Chair’s directions repeatedly. The motion was accepted with voice vote and the Aam Aadmi Party MP was suspended from the Upper House for the remaining part of the current Session.
