A total of six infrastructure projects worth more than 28 thousand crore rupees have been recommended under PM GatiShakti. Three projects each are related to Railways and Road Transport and Highways. The decision was taken at the 53rd National Planning Group meeting, held in New Delhi. The meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Special Secretary, Logistics, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Sumita Dawra.
On the occasion, she said, these projects will provide multimodal connectivity for socio-economic development and decongest the existing city and rail infrastructure. Ms. Dawra said, these projects are of critical importance for future capacity augmentation and will enhance the logistics efficiency of the project region.
