केंद्र सरकार ने नेशनल लिबरेशन फ्रंट ऑफ त्रिपुरा, ऑल त्रिपुरा टाइगर फोर्स और संबंधित गुटों को गैर कानूनी गतिविधि रोकथाम अधिनियम के तहत अवैध संगठन घोषित किया है। गृह मंत्रालय ने इन संगठनों पर पांच वर्ष के लिए प्रतिबंध लगाया है। मंत्रालय ने बताया कि सरकार का मानना है कि इनकी गतिविधियां देश की संप्रभुता और एकता के लिए खतरा है। ये गुट विध्‍वंसक और हिंसक गतिविधियों में शामिल रहे हैं और अपने मनसूबे पूरे करने के लिए लोगों में आतंक फैलाते रहे हैं। गृह मंत्रालय ने कहा कि यदि इन संगठनों पर तत्‍काल अंकुश नहीं लगाया जाता तो ये अपना विस्‍तार करेंगे और राष्‍ट्र विरोधी गतिविधियां जारी रखेंगे।

The Assam Government has given its in-principle nod to the initiation of the process for Socio-Economic Assessment of the  five indigenous Muslim communities- Goria, Moria, Deshi, Syed and Jolha. This decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati. He instructed the concerned authorities to take necessary measures so as to ensure the upcoming Socio-Economic Assessment. Mr Sharma said that on its completion, the data can be utilised by the Assam Government  to take steps for comprehensive socio-political, academic and economic uplift for the five indigenous Muslim communities. The State Cabinet has already approved the indigenous status for these five communities.

The Chief Minister's Office pointed out in in a statement that Mr Shrma had last year participated in an interactive session with the intellectuals and leading citizens of the indigenous Muslim communities. This was followed by formation of several sub-committees with representatives of indigenous Muslims to deliberate on various issues related to the community.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कल छत्तीसगढ़ और तेलंगाना में 35 हजार करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की कई विकास परियोजनाओं की आधारशिला रखी और राष्ट्र को समर्पित किया। प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी ने कल छत्‍तीसगढ के जगदलपुर में कहा कि केन्‍द्र में भारतीय जनता पार्टी की सरकार देश में बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास पर विशेष ध्‍यान दे रही है। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि पिछले नौ वर्षों में बुनियादी सुविधाओं के विकास पर खर्चा बढाकर दस लाख करोड रुपये कर दिया गया है। श्री मोदी ने कहा कि विकसित भारत का सपना तभी पूरा होगा जब देश का हर राज्‍य, हर जिला और हर गांव विकसित होगा। प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने छत्तीसगढ़ के आदिवासी बस्तर संभाग के संभागीय मुख्यालय जगदलपुर में 27 हजार करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की कई विकास परियोजनाओं का शिलान्यास किया। प्रधानमंत्री ने बस्‍तर में नगरनार में राष्‍ट्रीय खनिज विकास निगम के नए इस्‍पात संयंत्र को भी राष्‍ट्र को समर्पित किया।

The Prime Minister Street Vendor's AtmaNirbhar Nidhi, PM SVANidhi, scheme has achieved a momentous milestone by extending its support to more than 50 lakh street vendors across the nation. An initiative under the aegis of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the scheme has been instrumental in bringing Street vendors into the formal economic fold.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to broaden the scheme's reach has prompted concerted efforts towards its expansion. Beginning on the 1st of July this year, a campaign was launched by the Ministry, revising the targets to be achieved under the Scheme. Several high-level reviews and monitoring were undertaken during this period. This collective effort resulted in disbursement of almost 66 lakh loans, with a value exceeding 8,600 crore rupees, to over 50 lakh street vendors. Over the past three months, states have successfully onboarded more than 12 lakh new vendors.

निर्वाचन आयोग की पूरी टीम ने तेलंगाना में चुनाव तैयारियों की समीक्षा शुरू कर दी है। मुख्‍य निर्वाचन आयुक्‍त राजीव कुमार के नेतृत्‍व में आयोग ने कल शाम हैदराबाद में प्रवर्तन एजेंसियों के साथ महत्‍वपूर्ण बैठक की। पुलिस और राजस्‍व सहित बीस से अधिक एजेंसियों ने निर्वाचन आयोग को चुनाव तैयारियों की जानकारी दी। आयोग ने कल शाम दस राष्‍ट्रीय और राज्‍यस्‍तरीय राजनीतिक दलों के साथ भी बैठक की और उनके सुझाव लिए। राजनीतिक दलों के प्रतिनिधियों ने बाद में संवाददाताओं को बताया कि निष्‍पक्ष और पारदर्शी मतदाता सूची और चुनाव खर्च से संबंधित मुद्दे उठाए गए। निर्वाचन आयोग आज सुबह तेलंगाना के सभी 33 जिलों के जिला चुनाव अधिकारियों तथा पुलिस  आयुक्‍तों और अधीक्षकों के साथ बैठक करेगा। राज्‍य के प्रमुख लोगों, दिव्‍यांगों और युवा मतदाता से भी बातचीत होगी ताकि मतदान प्रक्रिया में भागीदारी बढाई जा सके। निर्वाचन आयोग का दल कल मुख्‍य सचिव और पुलिस महा निदेशक के साथ भी चुनाव तैयारियों पर विचार-विमर्श करेगा।

In an extraordinary showdown, the US House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy has been voted out of the job. The 216-to-210 vote marked the first time in history that the House removed its leader, with eight Republicans voting along with 208 Democrats to remove McCarthy. The rebellion was led by Representative Matt Gaetz, a far-right Republican from Florida. He had accused the party leader of not doing enough to cut federal spending or to stand up to Democratic President Joe Biden.

McCarthy's ouster as speaker brings legislative activity in the House to a halt, with another government shutdown deadline looming on November 17 if Congress does not extend funding.

McCarthy told lawmakers that he would not run again for the Speaker, putting the gavel up for grabs.

The next steps are highly uncertain as there is no obvious successor to lead the House Republican majority. Action is halted in the House until next week when Republicans try to elect a new speaker.

हांगचोओ एशियाई खेलों में भारत का शानदार प्रदर्शन जारी है। खेलों के दसवें दिन कल भारत को दो स्वर्ण, दो रजत और पांच कांस्‍य पदक मिले हैं। पदक तालिका में भारत 15 स्वर्ण, 26 रजत और 28 कांस्य पदकों के साथ कुल 69 पदक लेकर चौथे स्‍थान पर है।

एथलेटिक्‍स में महिलाओं की जेवलिन थ्रो में अनुरानी ने और पांच हजार मीटर दौड में पारूल चौधरी ने स्‍वर्ण पदक जीता। पुरूषों के डेक्‍थोलॉन में तेजस्विन शंकर ने और आठ सौ मीटर दौड में मोहम्‍मद अफसल ने रजत पदक अपने नाम किया। पुरूषों के ट्रीपल जंप में प्रवीण चित्रावेल ने कांस्‍य पदक जीता। महिलाओं की चार सौ मीटर बाधा दौड में विध्‍या ने कांस्‍य पदक हासिल किया। मुक्केबाजी में प्रीति और नरेंद्र ने कांस्य पदक हासिल किया। कैनोइंग डबल में अर्जुन सिंह और सुनील सिंह ने कांस्य पदक जीता।

तीरंदाजी में कंपाउड मिक्सड टीम स्पर्धा के क्वार्टर फाइनल में आज ज्योति वेन्नम और ओजस देवताले मलेशिया की जोड़ी को हराकर सेमी फाइनल में प्रवेश किया।

पुरूष कबड्डी टीम ने आज अपने ग्रुप मैच में थाइलैंड को 63-26 से हराया। अगला मुकाबला कल चीनी ताइपेई होगा।

एशियाई खेलों में आज भारत को एथलेटिक्‍स में ज्‍यादा पदकों की उम्‍मीदें रहेंगी। सबकी निगाहें पुरूषों के जेवलिन थ्रो में ओलंपिक और विश्‍व चैंपियन नीरज चोपड़ा तथा किशोर कुमार पर होंगी। पुरूषों और महिलाओं की चार गुणा चार सौ मीटर रिले टीम स्‍वर्ण पदक की बडी दावेदार होगी। पुरूषों की पांच हजार मीटर दौड़ में गुलवीर सिंह और अविनाश सालबे ट्रैक पर उतरेंगे। महिलाओं की आठ सौ मीटर दौड़ में हरमिलन बैंस और चंदा चुनौती पेश करेंगी। पुरूषों के ऊंची कूद में संदेश और अनिल सर्वेश मैदान में उतरेंगे। महिलाओं की ट्रिपल जंप में वरके नेल्लिकल खेलेंगी। 35 किलोमीटर रेस वॉक मिकस्‍ड टीम में रामबाबू और रानी मंजू की जोडी मैदान पर है।  

तीरंदाजी में रिकर्व मिकस्‍ड टीम क्‍वार्टर फाइनल में खेलेगी। स्‍क्‍वॉश में सौरव घोषाल सिंगल्‍स के और मिक्स्ड डबल्स स्पर्धा में दीपिका पल्लिकल और हरेंदर पाल संधू की जोड़ी अपनी चुनौती रखेंगी। बैडमिंटन में पी वी सिंधु, एच एस प्रणॉय, किदांबी श्रीकांत सिंगल्‍स प्री-क्‍वार्टर फाइनल में खेलेंगे।  

बाक्सिंग के 57 किलोभार वर्ग में प्रवीण सेमिफाइनल मैच में रिंग में उतरेंगे। वहीं महिलाओं की 75 किलो भार वर्ग लवलीना बोरगोहांई अपना स्वर्णिम पदक पक्का करने के लिए फाइनल में उतरेंगी। साथ ही हॉकी के सेमिफाइनल में भारत आज साउथ कोरिया से खेलेगा।

Tamilnadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin directed the district administrations to strictly monitor and prevent forces from disrupting public peace in the State. Inaugurating a two day conference of the District collectors, superintendents of police and district forest officials in the Secretariat, the Chief Minister said the first goal of the administration was to create peace in areas of public gathering and no room was given to those intended to create chaos. He said that there should be no compromise in their action on crimes against women and children and the perpetrators of crime should be arrested and punished . The district collectors should announce a special whatsapp and phone number to help people to report the atrocities against scheduled castes and tribes. He also said that officials in districts should always  monitor social media to prevent the spread of fake news in social media.

The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms , a deep-tech innovation hub based out of Bengaluru has entered into a strategic partnership with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka to strengthen the state’s public health settings through indigenous and innovative health solutions. The partnership will facilitate identification, implementation and field integration of innovative health technologies in the state for augmenting infrastructure and healthcare delivery across primary to tertiary healthcare centres in urban and rural areas. The MoU which was recently signed between Karnataka Health Commissioner, Shri D. Randeep, IAS, Commissionerate of Health and Family Welfare Services and Director-CEO of C-CAMP, Dr Taslimarif Saiyed has been formally announced yesterday in the presence of  Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Govt of Karnataka, Dinesh Gundu Rao.

The Election Commission of India  has begun reviewing poll preparedness in Telangana. The high-level team, headed by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, held a crucial meeting with enforcement agencies yesterday in Hyderabad. Over 20 agencies including police and revenue departments gave presentations before the Commission about the poll preparations. The Commission also held meetings with about 10 national and state political parties .

दिल्ली पुलिस ने एक न्यूज पोर्टल के दो पत्रकारों प्रबीर पुरकायस्थ और अमित चक्रवर्ती को गैरकानूनी गतिविधियां (रोकथाम) अधिनियम से संबंधित एक मामले में गिरफ्तार किया है। इस मामले में 46 लोगों की तलाशी और पूछताछ की गयी है। तलाशी के दौरान पुलिस ने डिजिटल उपकरण और दस्तावेज जब्त कर लिए हैं। पुलिस ने कहा कि मामले की जांच जारी है।

दिल्‍ली के पर्यावरण मंत्री गोपाल राय ने वायू प्रदूषण के खिलाफ विंटर एक्‍शन प्‍लान के बेहतर क्रियान्‍वयन के लिए ग्रीन वॉर रूम की शुरूआत की है। उन्‍होंने कहा कि इस रूम में निगरानी के लिए 17 सदस्‍यीय टीम को लगाया गया है। यह टीम प्राथमिक प्रदूषकों के स्‍तर, प्रदूषण पर अंकुश लगाने के उपायों और ग्रीन दिल्‍ली ऐप के माध्‍यम से प्राप्‍त शिकायतों की निगरानी करेगी। पर्यावरण मंत्री ने कहा कि 5 अक्‍टूबर से दिल्‍ली में धूल प्रदूषण के खिलाफ अभियान शुरू किया जाएगा और ऐसे निर्माण स्‍थल जो धूल प्रदूषण नियंत्रण से संबंधित नियमों का पालन नहीं करते है तो उनके खिलाफ कडी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

दिल्ली विधानसभा में नेता प्रतिपक्ष रामवीर सिंह बिधूड़ी ने दिल्ली सरकार पर आरोप लगाया है कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश के बावजूद सरकार, राजधानी के लगभग डेढ सौ किसानों के एक सौ तीस करोड़ रुपए के बकाया मुआवजे का भुगतान नहीं कर पा रही है। एक प्रेसवार्ता को संबोधित करते हुए श्री बिधूड़ी ने बताया कि जसोला और मदनपुर खादर से लगे गांवों की जमीन को सरकार ने 1987 में अधिग्रहित किया था। उन्होंने आगे बताया कि पिछले वर्ष सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अधिग्रहित जमीन का किसानों को मुआवजा देने का दिल्ली सरकार को आदेश दिया था, लेकिन सरकार, किसानों को मुआवजा देने में असफल रही है।

दिल्‍ली पुलिस के विशेष प्रकोष्‍ठ ने कल  दक्षिणी दिल्‍ली में जैतपुर से संदिग्‍ध आईएसआईएस आतंकवादी शाहनवाज को गिरफ्तार किया। राष्‍ट्रीय अन्‍वेषण अधिकरण-एनआईए को इसकी तलाश थी और इस पर तीन लाख रूपये का ईनाम रखा था। शाहनवाज के अलावा दो और अन्‍य वांछित आतंकवादियों को भी गिरफ्तार किया गया है। दिल्‍ली पुलिस के विशेष आयुक्‍त एच एस ढालीवाल ने बताया कि शाहनवाज के ठिकाने से पाकिस्‍तान स्थित संचालकों की ओर से भेजे गए बम बनाने के सामान तथा अन्‍य आपत्तिजनक सामग्री बरामद किये गये हैं।

महाराष्ट्र के राज्यपाल रमेश बैस ने कल मुंबई के वर्ल्ड ट्रेड सेंटर में चौथे वर्ल्ड ट्रेड एक्सपो 2023 का उद्घाटन किया। राज्यपाल ने विश्व व्यापार एक्सपो में विभिन्न देशों के स्टालों का दौरा किया, जो व्यापार, प्रौद्योगिकी और पर्यटन पर केंद्रित है। ऑल इंडिया एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडस्ट्रीज (एआईएआई) ने वर्ल्ड ट्रेड सेंटर, मुंबई के सहयोग से दो दिवसीय एक्सपो का आयोजन किया है।

महाराष्ट्र मंत्रिमंडल ने आज सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणाली (पीडीएस) कार्ड धारकों के लिए एक विशेष दिवाली पैकेज को मंजूरी दे दी है, जिसमें 100 रुपये की रियायती कीमत पर 1 किलो चीनी, 1 लीटर तेल, आधा किलो सूजी, बेसन, गेहूं का आटा और पोहा शामिल है। पहले दिवाली पैकेज में सूजी, बेसन, चीनी और तेल शामिल था। इस वर्ष राज्य सरकार ने पोहा और मैदा भी शामिल किया है।

पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार ने मंगलवार को बताया कि डीवीसी ने मैथन और पंचेत बांध से 90 क्यूसेक पानी छोड़ा है। झारखंड में भारी बारिश और पश्चिम बंगाल में कम दबाव वाली बारिश के कारण इन दोनों बांधों में जलस्तर बढ़ रहा है। मंगलवार को राज्य सचिवालय नबन्ना ने सिंचाई एवं जलमार्ग विभाग को डीवीसी अथॉरिटी और झारखंड सरकार के साथ समन्वय स्थापित करने का आदेश दिया है।

मुंबई में आमतौर पर बादल छाए रहेंगे और हल्की बारिश या बूंदाबांदी होने की संभावना है। न्यूनतम तापमान 24 डिग्री सेल्सियस और अधिकतम 33 डिग्री के आसपास रहेगा।

कोलकाता में बादल छाए रहेंगे और कुछ स्थानों पर बारिश हो सकती है। न्यूनतम तापमान 26 डिग्री सेल्सियस और अधिकतम 29 डिग्री के आसपास रहेगा।

Shyamji Krishna Varma (4 October 1857 – 30 March 1930) was an Indian revolutionary fighter,[1] an Indian patriot, lawyer and journalist who founded the Indian Home Rule Society, India House and The Indian Sociologist in London. A graduate of Balliol Col lege, Krishna Varma was a noted scholar in Sanskrit and other Indian languages. He pursued a brief legal career in India and served as the Divan of a number of Indian princely states in India.[2] He had, however, differences with Crown authority, was dismissed following a supposed conspiracy of British colonial officials at Junagadh[3] and chose to return to England. An admirer of Dayanand Saraswati's approach of cultural nationalism, and of Herbert Spencer, Krishna Varma believed in Spencer's dictum: "Resistance to aggression is not simply justified, but imperative".[2]

In 1905, he founded the India House and The Indian Sociologist, which rapidly developed as an organised meeting point for radical nationalists among Indian students in Britain at the time and one of the most prominent centres for revolutionary Indian nationalism outside India. Krishna Varma moved to Paris in 1907, avoiding prosecution.

श्यामजी कृष्ण वर्मा (जन्म 4 अक्टूबर, 1857- मृत्यु: 31 मार्च, 1930)

श्यामजी कृष्ण वर्मा भारत के उन अमर सपूतों में हैं, जिन्होंने अपना सम्पूर्ण जीवन भारत भूमि की भेंट चढा दी थी। ब्रिटिश सरकार के अत्याचारों से त्रस्त श्यामजी कृष्ण इंग्लैण्ड ने अपना सारा जीवन भारत की स्वतन्त्रता के लिए नवयुवकों को प्रेरित करने में लगाया। स्वामी दयानंद सरस्वती के सान्निध्य में रहकर मुखर हुए संस्कृत व वेदशास्त्रों के मूर्धन्य विद्वान के रूप में प्रतिष्ठा प्राप्त श्यामजी कृष्ण वर्मा 1885 में तत्कालीन रतलाम राज्य के 1889 तक दीवान पद पर आसीन रहे।

रामचन्द्र शुक्ल (4 अक्टूबर, 1884- 1941 ई. भारत)

बीसवीं शताब्दी के हिन्‍दी साहित्य के प्रमुख हस्‍ताक्षर, महान रचनाकार आचार्य रामचन्द्र शुक्ल की आज जयंती है। उनके द्वारा लिखी पुस्तकों में हिन्दी साहित्य का इतिहास सबसे अधिक प्रसिद्ध है, जिसका हिन्दी पाठ्यक्रम को निर्धारित करने में प्रमुख स्थान है।

रामचन्द्र शुक्ल जी का जन्म बस्ती ज़िले के अगोना नामक गाँव में सन् 1884 में हुआ। 1888 में वे अपने पिता के साथ राठ हमीरपुर गये तथा वहीं पर विद्याध्ययन प्रारम्भ किया। 1892 में उनके पिता की नियुक्ति मिर्ज़ापुर में सदर क़ानूनगो के रूप में हो गई और वे पिता के साथ मिर्ज़ापुर आ गये।

1910 में वह 'हिन्दी शब्द सागर' के सम्पादन में वैतनिक सहायक के रूप में काशी आ गये, यहीं पर काशी नागरी प्रचारिणी सभा के विभिन्न कार्यों को करते हुए उनकी प्रतिभा को पंख लगे।

शुक्ल जी ने हिन्दी साहित्य का इतिहास लिखा, जिसमें काव्य प्रवृत्तियों एवं कवियों का परिचय भी है और उनकी समीक्षा भी लिखी है। उनकी एक अन्य महत्वपूर्ण विशेषता समसामयिक काव्य चिन्तन सम्बन्धी जागरूकता है।

Kumaran or Kumarasamy Mudaliyar also known as Tiruppur Kumaran or Kodi Kaatha Kumaran (4 October 1904 – 11 January 1932) was an Indian revolutionary and freedom fighter who participated in the Indian independence movement.

He died from injuries sustained from a police assault on the banks of Noyyal River in Tiruppur during a protest march against the British government on 11 January 1932. At the time of his death, he was holding the flag of the Indian Nationalists, which had been banned by the British giving rise to the epithet kodi Kaatha Kumaran in Tamil which means "Kumaran who protected the flag".

श्यामजी कृष्ण वर्मा का जन्म 4 अक्टूबर, 1857 को गुजरात के मांडवी गांव में हुआ था। श्यामजी कृष्ण वर्मा ने सन् 1888 में अजमेर में वकालत के दौरान स्वराज के लिए काम करना शुरू कर दिया था। 1905 में कर्ज़न की ज़्यादतियों के विरुद्ध संघर्षरत रहे। इसी वर्ष इंग्लैंड से मासिक 'द इंडियन सोशिओलॉजिस्ट' प्रकाशित किया, जिसका प्रकाशन बाद में जिनेवा में भी किया गया। इंग्लैंड में रहकर उन्होंने इंडिया हाउस की स्थापना की। भारत लौटने के बाद 1905 में उन्होंने क्रांतिकारी छात्रों को लेकर इंडियन होमरूल सोसायटी की स्थापना की। 1918 के बर्लिन और इंग्लैंड में हुए विद्या सम्मेलनों में उन्होंने भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व किया था।

श्यामजी कृष्ण वर्मा ऑक्सफोर्ड विश्वविद्यालय से 1883 में बी.ए. की डिग्री प्राप्त करने वाले प्रथम भारतीय होने के अतिरिक्त अंग्रेज़ी राज्य को हटाने के लिए विदेशों में भारतीय नवयुवकों को प्रेरणा देने वाले, क्रांतिकारियों का संगठन करने वाले पहले हिन्दुस्तानी थे।

उनके सम्‍मान में रतलाम में श्यामजी कृष्ण वर्मा सृजन पीठ की स्थापना की गयी है। श्यामजी कृष्ण वर्मा की जन्मस्थली माण्डवी गुजरात क्रांति तीर्थ के रूप में विकसित किया जा रहा है। जहां स्वाधीनता संग्राम सैनानियों की प्रतिमाएं व 21 हजार वृक्षों का क्रांतिवन आकार ले रहा है। क्रांतिकारी शहीद मदनलाल ढींगरा इनके शिष्यों में से एक थे।

प्रसिद्ध भारतीय कवयित्री कस्तूरी बाई की आज जयंती है। वह माखन लाल चतुर्वेदी की बहन थीं। कस्तूरी बाई में बाल्यकाल से ही राष्ट्रीयता के संस्कार थे। महिला संगठन, चरखा सिखाने की कक्षा लेना, शराब एवं विदेशी वस्त्रों की दुकान का विरोध करना उनके प्रमुख कार्य थे।

संध्या मुखर्जी (4 अक्टूबर, 1931- 15 फ़रवरी, 2022)

'बंगा विभूषण' से सम्मानित संध्या मुखर्जी की आज जयंती है। संध्या मुखर्जी को मुख्य रूप से बंगाली गायन में रुचि रही। उन्‍हें राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कार भी प्रदान किया गया। एक शास्त्रीय और अर्ध-शास्त्रीय गायिका के रूप में संध्या मुखर्जी ने कई बंगाली फिल्मों और कई हिन्दी फिल्मों अपनी आवाज दी थी। उन्होंने एस. डी. बर्मन, मदन मोहन, नौशाद, अनिल विश्वास और सलिल चौधरी सहित कई प्रमुख संगीत निर्देशकों के साथ काम किया था।

संध्या मुखर्जी ने अपना पहला हिंदी गाना 1950 में आई फिल्म 'ताराना' के लिए गाया। उन्होंने बतौर हिंदी गायिका 17 गाने गाए। इसके बाद वह वापस कलकत्ता लौट आईं, यहाँ आकर उन्होंने दर्जंनो बंगाली गाने गाए, जिसमें मुख्य रूप से ‘ई गाने प्रजापति’, ‘ओई डुस्तो चोखेर मिस्टी हसी’, ‘ई सुधू गानेर दिन’ जैसे सदाबहार गाने शुमार हैं।

बंगाली गायिका संध्या मुखर्जी ने मंगलवार, 15 फ़रवरी, 2022 को 90 साल की उम्र में अंतिम सांस ली।
