प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी छत्तीसगढ़ के आदिवासी बस्तर संभाग के संभागीय मुख्यालय जगदलपुर में 26 हजार करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की कई विकास परियोजनाओं का शिलान्यास करेंगे। हमारे रायपुर संवाददाता ने खबर दी है कि प्रधानमंत्री बस्तर के नगरनार में स्थापित एनएमडीसी के ग्रीनफील्ड स्टील प्लांट को भी राष्ट्र को समर्पित करेंगे।

वे छत्तीसगढ़ के जनजातीय बहुल बस्तर जिले के नगरनार में स्थापित राष्ट्रीय खनिज विकास निगम-एनएमडीसी के जिस इस्पात संयंत्र का लोकार्पण करेंगे, वहां उच्च गुणवत्ता वाला इस्पात निर्मित होगा। यह संयंत्र करीब 24 हजार करोड़ रूपये की लागत से बनकर तैयार हुआ है। इस संयंत्र में और इससे जुड़े सहयोगी उद्योगों में हजारों लोगों को रोजगार के अवसर प्राप्त होंगे।

प्रधानमंत्री अपने जगदलपुर प्रवास के दौरान जगदलपुर रेलवे स्टेषन के पुनर्विकास की आधारषिला रखने के साथ ही अंतागढ़-तारोकी के बीच नई रेललाइन और जगदलपुर-दंतेवाड़ा के बीच डबल रेललाइन परियोजना का लोकार्पण करेंगे। इसके अलावा तारोकी-रायपुर के बीच रेल सेवा का भी शुभारंभ करेंगे। इन परियोजनाओं से इस जनजातीय इलाके में रेल कनेक्टिविटी में सुधार होगा तथा इलाके के आर्थिक विकास को गति मिलेगी।

Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh has said that India’s stature in space research is growing day-by-day and is now competing with the space elites. Felicitating ISRO scientists at an event in New Delhi yesterday, Dr. Singh said, ISRO is now considered a leading space agency in the world despite the time advantage NASA and other Space agencies once enjoyed. He added that countries like the US and Russia who once looked down on India now want to partner up.

Addressing the gathering, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that India needs co-operation from dedicated individuals and organizations to lead in the science and technology sector.

चिकित्‍सा या शरीर क्रिया विज्ञान क्षेत्र में वर्ष-2023 का नोबेल पुरस्‍कार हंगरी मूल की अमरीकी प्रोफेसर कातलिन कारिको और अमरीका के प्रोफेसर ड्रीयू वाइजमैन को संयुक्‍त रूप से प्रदान किया जाएगा। इन दोनों वैज्ञानिकों ने ऐसी प्रौद्योगिकी विकसित की, जिससे एम-आरएनए आधारित कोविड टीकों का निर्माण संभव हो सका। इसी एम-आरएनए प्रौद्योगिकी पर कैंसर सहित अन्‍य बीमारियों के लिए भी अनुसंधान हो रहा है।

एम-आरएनए तकनीक पारंपरिक टीकों से अलग है। कोविड महामारी के दौरान मॉडर्ना, फाइजर और बायोएनटेक टीके एम-आरएनए तकनीक पर आधारित थे।

In Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the Sanskriti Mahotsav, featuring prominent folk dances of Karnataka, at Srinagar yesterday.

In his address, the Lt Governor welcomed the artists from Karnataka to the Union Territory and commended the endeavour of the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages to promote rich diversity and uniqueness of ageless Indian culture and the cultural inter-linkages between J&K UT and Karnataka.

मौसम विभाग ने कहा है कि अगले दो से तीन दिन के दौरान बिहार, झारखण्‍ड, उप हिमालय पश्चिम बंगाल तथा सिक्किम, उत्तरी ओडिशा, उत्तरी छत्तीसगढ़ में मूसलाधार वर्षा जारी रहने की संभावना है।   मध्य महाराष्ट्र और मराठवाड़ा क्षेत्र में आज गरज और बिजली के साथ वर्षा होगी। अगले दो दिन में असम, मेघालय, नागालैंड, मणिपुर, मिजोरम, त्रिपुरा और अरुणाचल प्रदेश में तेज वर्षा की संभावना है। तमिलनाडु और केरल में भी तेज वर्षा की आशंका है। अगले दो दिन के दौरान देश के शेष हिस्सों से दक्षिण-पश्चिम मानसून की वापसी के लिए परिस्थितियाँ अनुकूल बनी हुई हैं।

In Punjab, the state government had launched the state-wide ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign with the theme ‘Garbage Free India’ from 15th September to 2nd October. The campaign was a joint initiative by the Ministry of Jal Shakti and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Government of India, under the flagship programs of Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) respectively. The state government yesterday honoured best performing panchayats, schools and safai sewaks in cleanliness and other related activities during this campaign.

In Asian Games 2023 being held in Hangzhou, China, India bagged three silver and four bronze medals on day 9. With this, the overall tally of the country rose to 60 medals - 13 gold, 24 silver and 23 bronze.  India currently stands at the 4th position on the scoreboard.

The Indian men’s cricket team will make its Asian Games debut against Nepal in the quarter-final today. Team India has won the toss and choose to bat first.

In  badminton,  PV Sindhu, a two-time Asian Games bronze medallist, and HS Prannoy  will start their singles campaign. In Kabaddi, as seven-time champions India will kick off against Bangladesh in the men’s event. The Indian women’s team, meanwhile, will look to bounce back against the Republic of Korea.

World champion boxer Lovlina Borgohain can secure a women’s 75kg Olympic quota today with a win in the semi-final. Preeti Pawar in women’s 54kg and Narender in men’s 92kg  will also punch for a final spot.

In athletics, several exciting events have been lined up today as the Asian Games enter its Day 10. They include 110 meter hurdles, discus throw, pole vault and javelin throw.

Tamil Nadu environment , forest and climate change department is celebrating the National Wildlife Week from October 2 to 8 to create awareness on conservation of wild species. In a social media post, secretary of the department Supriya Sahu said that their focus would be on conservation of lesser known critically endangered wild animals found not only in terrestrial ecosystems but in marine ecosystems . The Department has already notified conservation reserves for slender loris, dugongs, elephants and birds and started projects saving the Nilgiris Tahr and turtles. More efforts will be made by setting up conservation centres and their habitat protection.

Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot inaugurated the enthralling "Gandhi Jayanti-Sthya & Ahimsa Mahotsav" at the Banquet Hall of Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru yesterday.  It was a spectacular tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his birth anniversary and International Day of Non-Violence, This celebration was organized jointly by Doordarshana, Bengaluru and the Governor's Secretariat, unfolding an ode to the enduring principles of truth and non-violence.

The event commenced with the resonant strains of the National Anthem, setting the tone for a night steeped in Gandhian philosophy.  Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot paid his respects  by garlanding Gandhi's statue and illuminating the ceremonial lamp.

Deepika Srikanth's troupe, in a moving performance, presented Gandhiji's cherished bhajans "Vaishnava Janato" and "Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram". The mesmerizing Bharatanatyam renditions by Neha Sullad, Tisha Sharma, Rudrika Sharma, and Rudranshi Sharma showcased various Ganapati Vandana dance motifs.

Telangana state government has constituted the second Pay Revision Committee (PRC) to make recommendations for new pay scales to the state Government employees. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has announced the decision yesterday in Hyderabad. The Two-member committee, with Retired IAS officer N Shivashankar as Chairman and another retired IAS officer, B Ramaiah as member has been appointed and State Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari issued orders to this effect. The committee has been advised to submit its report in 6 months. The committee will consider the current Pay scales of Telangana Employees and of other states and Central government in this regard. It will also study the State Revenue Growth, and its commitments for ongoing and future investments, development programmes and welfare schemes. It may be recalled that the government decided to pay 5 percent Interim Relief (IR) to state government employees.

दिल्ली पुलिस ने एक इनामी आतंकी को गिरफ्तार किया है, जो पुणे आईएसआईएस मॉड्यूल का सदस्य भी था। वह राष्ट्रीय जांच एजेंसी की मोस्ट वांटेड सूची में था और उस पर तीन लाख रुपये का इनाम था। दिल्ली पुलिस स्पेशल सेल ने मॉड्यूल के कुछ अन्य सदस्यों को भी हिरासत में लिया है। मॉड्यूल विदेश स्थित हैंडलर्स से निर्देश लेकर उत्तर भारत में आतंकी घटनाओं को अंजाम देने की योजना बना रहा था। पुलिस ने आईईडी निर्माण के लिए इस्तेमाल होने वाली संदिग्ध सामग्रियों सहित आपत्तिजनक सामग्री बरामद की है।

दिल्ली- तस्कर गिरफ्तार

दिल्ली पुलिस ने अक्षरधाम फ्लाईओवर के पास से मादक पदार्थ की तस्करी करने वाले एक व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस ने आरोपी के पास से 20 ग्राम से अधिक एम डी एम ए नामक नशीला पदार्थ और 54 हजार रुपये जब्त किये हैं।

दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल विनय कुमार सक्सेना राजधानी के कुतुबगढ़ आदर्श गांव में स्पोर्टस कॉम्प्लेक्स का शिलान्यास करेंगे। इस खेल परिसर में जॉगिंग ट्रैक, ओपन जिम, कबड्डी, अखाड़ा, बैंडमिंटन और वॉलीबाल जैसे खेलों के लिए स्पोर्ट कोर्ट उपलब्ध होंगे। इसके अलावा, खिलाड़ियों के लिए सभी सुविधाएं उपलब्ध होंगी। खेल परिसर के निर्माण कार्य को इस महीने के अंत तक पूरा करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है।

साहित्य अकादमी ने रविंद्र भवन में पर्यावरण और साहित्य विषयक साहित्य मंच कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया। 'स्वच्छता ही सेवा' पखवाड़े के अंतर्गत आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता प्रख्यात कवि और कला समीक्षक प्रयाग शुक्ल ने की। कार्यक्रम में पंकज चतुर्वेदी, राजीव रंजन गिरि जसविंदर कौर बिंद्रा, अजय कुमार मिश्रा और अनवर पाशा जैसे प्रख्यात विद्वानों ने पर्यावरण को लेकर अपने विचार व्यक्त किए। साहित्य अकादेमी के सचिव के. श्रीनिवासराव ने कार्यक्रम में शामिल सभी वक्ताओं का सम्मान किया।

मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे ने घोषणा की है कि जल्द ही सफाई कर्मचारियों की कॉलोनियों का कायापलट किया जाएगा। मुंबई के विभिन्न वार्डों में स्वच्छता अभियान के निरीक्षण के तहत सीएम शिंदे ने सोमवार को स्वच्छता कर्मचारी कॉलोनियों का दौरा और स्वच्छता अभियान की समीक्षा की। उन्होंने निर्देश दिए कि इन कॉलोनियों में सुविधाओं की समीक्षा तत्काल एक स्वतंत्र टीम से कराई जाए। सीएम ने इस क्षेत्र में दो भवनों के रुके हुए निर्माण को पूरा करने के लिए तत्काल कार्रवाई करने का निर्देश दिया. इसके लिए सीएम ने कहा कि दो शिफ्ट में काम शुरू किया जाये। उन्होंने यह भी निर्देश दिये कि इस क्षेत्र की मुख्य सड़क, आंतरिक सड़कों को समय पर पूरा किया जाये। इन कॉलोनियों में शौचालय और वॉशरूम की हालत सुधारने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं।

महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने मुंबई के पुलिस आयुक्त के पुलिस अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों के लिए मिशन कर्मयोगी पहल के तहत एक प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आयोजित करने की प्रशासनिक मंजूरी दे दी है। कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य नागरिकों की सेवा करने के लिए प्रेरणा पैदा करना है। केंद्र सरकार के क्षमता निर्माण आयोग (सीबीसी) के तहत मिशन कर्मयोगी को सभी सरकारी अधिकारियों को विश्व स्तरीय क्षमता निर्माण के अवसर प्रदान करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है।

कादम्बिनी गांगुली जन्म- 18 जुलाई, 1861, भागलपुर, बिहार; मृत्यु- 3 अक्टूबर, 1923, कलकत्ता) भारत की पहली महिला स्नातक और पहली महिला फ़िजीशियन थीं। कांग्रेस अधिवेशन में सबसे पहले भाषण देने वाली महिला का गौरव भी कादम्बिनी गांगुली को ही प्राप्त है। कादम्बिनी गांगुली पहली दक्षिण एशियाई महिला थीं, जिन्होंने यूरोपियन मेडिसिन में प्रशिक्षण लिया था। उन्होंने कोयला खदानों में काम करने वाली महिलाओं की लचर स्थिति पर भी काफ़ी कार्य किया। बंकिमचन्द्र चट्टोपाध्याय की रचनाओं से कादम्बिनी बहुत प्रभावित थीं। उनमें देशभक्ति की भावना बंकिमचन्द्र की रचनाओं से ही जागृत हुई थी।

अमृतलाल बेगड़ जन्म- 3 अक्टूबर, 1928, जबलपुर; मृत्यु- 6 जुलाई, 2018 प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार, चित्रकार और नर्मदा प्रेमी थे। उन्होंने नर्मदा संरक्षण में उल्लेखनीय भूमिका निभाई थी। अमृतलाल बेगड़ ने पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए उल्लेखनीय काम किया। नर्मदा की 4 हज़ार किलोमीटर की पदयात्रा की।  नर्मदा अंचल में फैली बेशुमार जैव विविधता से दुनिया को परिचित कराया। उन्‍होंने 1977 में 47 साल की उम्र में नर्मदा परिक्रमा करनी शुरू की, जो 2009 तक जारी रही।

ज्योति प्रकाश दत्ता- जन्म- 3 अक्टूबर, 1949, मुम्बई, महाराष्ट्र) हिन्दी फ़िल्मों के मशहूर फ़िल्म निर्माता-निर्देशक हैं। भारतीय सिनेमा में जब भी जे. पी. दत्ता का नाम लिया जाता है तो आँखों के सामने 'बॉर्डर', 'एल ओ सी कारगिल' और 'उमराव जान' (2006) जैसी भव्य फ़िल्में आ जाती हैं। हिन्दी सिनेमा में जे. पी. दत्ता ने बहुत कम फ़िल्में बनाई हैं, लेकिन उनकी फ़िल्में हमेशा सब से हटकर होती हैं।

जे. पी. दत्ता ने अपने फ़िल्मी कैरियर की शुरुआत 1985 में फ़िल्म 'ग़ुलामी' से की थी। इसके बाद 'यतीम', 'बंटवारा', 'हथियार' और 'क्षत्रिय' जैसी फ़िल्में निर्देशित कीं। साल 1997 में उन्होंने ब्लॉक बस्टर फ़िल्म बनाई 'बॉर्डर'। यह फ़िल्म सुपर-डुपर हिट रही। इसके बाद जे. पी. दत्ता ने युद्ध पर ही आधारित फ़िल्म 'रिफ्यूजी' का निर्माण किया।
