प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज दिन में 11 बजे आकाशवाणी से 'मन की बात' कार्यक्रम में देश-विदेश के लोगों के साथ अपने विचार साझा करेंगे। यह कार्यक्रम आकाशवाणी, दूरदर्शन, आकाशवाणी समाचार की वेबसाइट और न्‍यूज ऑन ए आई आर मोबाइल ऐप के समूचे नेटवर्क पर प्रसारित किया जाएगा। आकाशवाणी समाचार, दूरदर्शन समाचार, प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय तथा सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय के यू-ट्यूब चैनलों पर भी इस कार्यक्रम का सीधा प्रसारण होगा। आकाशवाणी से हिन्दी प्रसारण के तुरंत बाद यह कार्यक्रम क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं में प्रसारित होगा।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off nine Vande Bharat trains today via video conferencing. These new Vande Bharat trains are a step towards realising the Prime Minister’s vision of improving connectivity across the country and providing world-class facilities to rail passengers. These nine trains will boost connectivity across eleven States. These are Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand and Gujarat. The new trains that will be flagged off include Udaipur - Jaipur Vande Bharat Express, Tirunelveli-Madurai- Chennai Vande Bharat Express, Hyderabad -Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express and Jamnagar-Ahmedabad  Vande Bharat Express. These Vande Bharat trains will be the fastest trains along the routes of their operation and will help save considerable time for the passengers. As compared to the current fastest train along the route, the Rourkela- Bhubaneswar - Puri  Vande Bharat Express and Kasaragod - Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat Express will be faster by about three hours. Hyderabad - Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will be faster than the current fastest train by more than 2.5 hours and Tirunelveli-Madurai- Chennai Vande Bharat Express by more than two hours.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा है कि नारी शक्ति वंदन अधिनियम, व्यापक दृष्टिकोण वाला कानून है, जिससे हमारा लोकतंत्र सुदृढ़ होगा और भारतीय विधायिकाओं में महिलाओं का प्रतिनिधित्व बढेगा। उन्‍होंने कल उत्‍तर प्रदेश के वाराणसी में महिलाओं के साथ संवाद कार्यक्रम में कहा कि  देश की महिलाओं की शक्ति की वजह से ही उन राजनीतिक दलों को भी नारी शक्ति वंदन अधिनियम का समर्थन करना पड़ा, जो पहले इसका विरोध कर रहे थे।इसके बाद प्रधानमंत्री रूद्राक्ष अंतर्राष्‍ट्रीय सहयोग सम्‍मेलन केंद्र पहुंचे और वहां काशी सांसद सांस्‍कृतिक महोत्‍सव 2023 के समापन समारोह में शामिल हुए। उन्‍होंने उत्‍तर प्रदेश में बनाए गए 16 अटल आवासीय विद्यालयों का उद्घाटन किया और काशी सांसद सांस्‍कृतिक महोत्‍सव के विजेताओं को पुरस्‍कार प्रदान किए। प्रधानमंत्री ने कल अपने संसदीय क्षेत्र वाराणसी का दौरा किया और डेढ़ हजार करोड़ रुपये से अधिक के विकास कार्यक्रमों का शुभारंभ किया। श्री मोदी ने वाराणसी में अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट स्टेडियम की आधारशिला रखते हुए कहा कि उनकी सरकार ने खेल को युवाओं के करियर और फिटनेस से जोड़ा है।

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said that Startup India initiative has witnessed remarkable growth from four fifty startups in 2016 to over one lakh currently, making India the world's third-largest startup ecosystem. Addressing the Bada Business' Entrepreneurs Launchpad event in New Delhi, Mr. Goyal underlined the government's commitment to improving the ease of doing business in India. The Minister emphasized the crucial role of the country's youth as the foundation for India's development in the Amrit Kaal. He expressed confidence that by 2047, India's economy would experience exponential growth. Mr. Goyal pointed out that the world is increasingly attracted to opportunities available in India and its diversity and economic growth.

पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी कल दिल्ली में हरित हाइड्रोजन ईंधन से संचालित पहली बस को हरी झंडी दिखाएंगे। यह हरित परिवहन की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। इंडियन ऑयल ने दिल्ली, हरियाणा और उत्तर प्रदेश में हरित हाइड्रोजन ईंधन से चलने वाली 15  बसों का परिचालन परीक्षण करने के लिए एक कार्यक्रम शुरू किया है। पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि इस कार्यक्रम के तहत, दो बसें इस महीने की 25 तारीख को इंडिया गेट से शुरु की जा रही हैं।

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah said that every panchayat will have a Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and thus, in the next five years, three lakh Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) will be formed in the country. He was delivering his address at the prestigious Laxmanrao Inamdar Memorial lecture, organised by Mumbai University and Sahakar Bharati in Maharashtra, Yesterday. The Minister said, the role of PACS will be multi-dimensional and it can discharge functions of dairy, fishermen society, run a petrol pump, cooking gas agency and even cheap foodgrain and medical shops, he said. "We have made PACS viable by adding 20 more activities. Model bye-laws (related to PACS) were sent to the States'', he added. Twenty-three parties have accepted the model bye-laws irrespective of party politics," he said. Mr. Amit Shah said that if we take forward the activities of cooperatives by combining them with modern technology in tune with the changing times, then there is no better way to develop the economy along with employment generation in a country like India.

मौसम विभाग ने आज बिहार, झारखंड, उप-हिमालयी पश्चिम बंगाल, सिक्किम और पूर्वोत्तर भारत में तेज से बहुत तेज बारिश जारी रहने का अनुमान व्‍यक्‍त किया है। छत्तीसगढ़, पश्चिम मध्य प्रदेश, विदर्भ, अरुणाचल प्रदेश, असम, मेघालय और अंडमान और निकोबार में भी मूसलाधार वर्षा हो सकती है। मौसम कार्यालय ने बताया है कि अगले पांच दिन के दौरान देश के अन्य हिस्सों में छिटपुट या हल्की बारिश हो सकती है।

Manipur Government has requested the Centre to permanently revoke the Free Movement Regime (FMR) with Myanmar, which allows people on either side to travel up to 16 kilometers inside the other country. Addressing a press conference yesterday, Chief Minister N Biren Singh warned that all illegal arms and ammunition holders to surrender to the government within fifteen day and the government has been launching a massive search operation in the State. He said Manipur has been witnessing normalcy in the past few days without reports of any untoward incident. He said the Government has formed a Cabinet sub committee to identify illegal immigrants coming from outside.

Tamilnadu will accord state honour to deceased organ donors during their funerals. Chief Minister M.K.Stalin announced the decision on State Organ Donation Day. He told that Organ donations are possible only because relatives of brain dead patients make the sacrifice at the time of grief. Mr.Stalin said that 15 years ago, a doctor couple had donated the organs of their teenaged son who was declared brain dead at a private hospital in Chennai. The Chief Minister said that this donation marked the beginning of several donations that took place in the State. Every year. the day is observed as the organ donation day in Tamilnadu. There are 13 organ transplant units in Government medical colleges in the State. State health insurance funds organ transplant and post transplant medical requirements. At Least 300 staff members including senior doctors, nurses and patients walk with the mortal remains of the donor from the wards.

In Chennai, a two day Chilean Film Festival will be held on the 25th and the 26th of this month. The event will be held at Tagore Film Centre , NFDC Raja Annamalaipuram. The  festival entitled Democracy is memory and future is organised by the Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Chilean Coup d 'etat in association with the embassy of Chile in India and the Consulate of Chile in the city. The films will be introduced by the Consul of Chile in Chennai Sunita Shahaney . The screening will begin at 6 pm and four movies will be showcased in the festival.

Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel has informed that the Railways will introduce a Vande Bharat Express between Mangaluru in Karnataka and Madgaon in Goa by next month.

Speaking to media persons in Mangaluru yesterday, Kateel said that he had met Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi with a list of demands of coastal Karnataka. He added that the Railway Minister was positive to the demand and promised to introduce the Vande Bharat service by October

The Third Vande Bharat Train originating from Telangana will reduce the travel time from Hyderabad to Bengaluru by three hours. The regular Vande Bharat train services of Kacheguda- Yesvantpur will commence from Monday onwards. The Vande Bharat Express is set to be flagged off later this morning by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conference. This train marks the first Vande Bharat Express linking Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. It will commence its journey from Kacheguda Railway Station in Hyderabad, terminating at Yesvantpur Railway Station in Bengaluru with stops at Mahabubnagar, Kurnool Town, Anantapur, and Dharmavaram. The South Central Railway said in a release that the train covers a distance of 610 kilometres in 8.30 hours and is nearly three hours faster than the current fastest train on this route. The train has eight coaches including an executive chair car coach, accommodating up to 530 passengers and operates all days in a week except on Wednesday.

दिल्ली पुलिस आज सुबह कनॉट प्लेस में राहगीरी दिवस का आयोजन करेगी। कनॉट प्लेस के इनर सर्कल में होने वाला यह कार्यक्रम दिल्ली पुलिस और नई दिल्ली नगर पालिका परिषद द्वारा आयोजित किया जायेगा। राहगीरी दिवस में कठपुतली शो और सड़क सुरक्षा जागरूकता से संबंधित गतिविधियों के साथ-साथ नुक्कड़ नाटक का भी आयोजन किया जायेगा। इस दौरान दिल्ली यातायात पुलिस द्वारा ट्रैफिक क्विज़ प्रतियोगिता, सड़क सुरक्षा कार्यशाला, दिल्ली पुलिस की अपराध शाखा द्वारा डॉग शो, दिल्ली पुलिस बैंड द्वारा ऑर्केस्ट्रा के अलावा आत्मरक्षा तकनीकों का भी प्रदर्शन किया जायेगा।

दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कल अरुणा आसफ अली अस्पताल में नए ओपीडी ब्लॉक का उद्घाटन किया। इस ब्लॉक में 25 परामर्श कक्ष हैं। इसे बनाने में करीब एक साल का समय लगा है। इस अस्पताल में अभी रोजाना लगभग एक हजार मरीज आ रहे हैं, जिसकी संख्या दो से तीन गुना होने की उम्मीद है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि दिल्ली के सरकारी अस्पतालों में अभी दस हजार बैड उपलब्‍ध हैं। इसके अलावा मौजूदा कई अस्पतालों में नए ब्लॉक बनाए जा रहे हैं।

दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय छात्र संघ (डूसू) चुनाव में अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद ने चार में से तीन सीटें जीत ली है। अध्यक्ष पद पर एबीवीपी के तुषार डेढ़ा, सचिव पद पर अपराजिता और सह-सचिव पद पर सचिन बैसला ने जीत दर्ज की है। वहीं नेशनल स्टूडेंट्स यूनियन ऑफ इंडिया के अभि दहिया ने उपाध्यक्ष पद पर जीत हासिल की। यह चुनाव तीन साल के बाद, सेंट्रल पैनल के चार पदों अध्यक्ष, उपाध्यक्ष, सचिव और संयुक्त सचिव के लिए शुक्रवार कोको हुए थे। इस छात्र संघ चुनाव में विभिन्न पदों पर कुल 24 उम्मीदवार मैदान में थे। चुनाव के लिए महाविद्यालयों में दो पालियों में इलेक्ट्रॉनिक वोटिंग मशीन-ईवीएम के जरिए वोट डाले गए।

महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा में विपक्ष के नेता विजय वडेट्टीवार ने मांग की है कि पारदर्शिता और जनहित सुनिश्चित करने के लिए शिवसेना विधायकों की अयोग्यता याचिकाओं की सुनवाई का सीधा प्रसारण किया जाए। विधानसभा अध्यक्ष राहुल नार्वेकर को लिखे पत्र में श्री वडेट्टीवार ने कहा है कि संवैधानिक संस्थाओं, पदों और लोकतंत्र में लोगों का विश्वास बरकरार रहे यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कार्यवाही का सीधा प्रसारण किया जाना चाहिए।

मध्य रेलवे ने दस साल की अवधि के लिए डोंबिवली, खोपोली, जुचंद्र और इगतपुरी स्टेशनों पर सिने डोम की स्थापना और संचालन के लिए एक ऑनलाइन निविदा जारी की है। एक आधिकारिक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, प्रस्तावित सिने डोम नवीनतम फिल्में, वृत्तचित्र और अन्य सामग्री प्रदर्शित करेंगे। उन्हें भोजन, नाश्ता और पेय पदार्थ परोसने की भी अनुमति होगी। एक नियमित सिनेमा हॉल और प्रस्तावित गुंबद के बीच एकमात्र अंतर यह होगा कि कोई स्थायी संरचना नहीं होगी। मध्य रेलवे ने कहा है कि स्थापना, संचालन, रखरखाव, सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने, भीड़ प्रबंधन और अन्य सभी आकस्मिक खर्चों की लागत लाइसेंसधारी को वहन करनी होगी। बोलीदाताओं को 12 अक्टूबर को 3 बजे समापन समय से पहले आईआरईपीएस पोर्टल पर पंजीकरण करना होगा।

मुंबई हवाई अड्डे पर उड़ान संचालन रखरखाव कार्य के लिए 17 अक्टूबर को छह घंटे के लिए बंद रहेगा। एक आधिकारिक बयान के अनुसार, मानसून के बाद व्यापक रनवे रखरखाव योजना के लिए छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे के दोनों रनवे सुबह 11 बजे से शाम 5 बजे तक अस्थायी रूप से गैर-परिचालन रहेंगे।

आज पुण्‍यतिथि है भूपति मोहन सेन की। वे भारत के जानेमाने गणितज्ञ और भौतिक विज्ञानी थे। उन्होंने क्वांटम यांत्रिकी और द्रव यांत्रिकी के क्षेत्र में उल्लेखनीय योगदान दिया था। उन्हें साहित्य एवं शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में योगदान के लिये पद्म भूषण (1974) से सम्मानित किया गया था। भूपति मोहन सेन ने कलकत्ता विश्वविद्यालय के प्रेसीडेंसी कॉलेज और गणित विभाग में पढ़ाया।

वह 'बोस संस्थान' के शासी निकाय के सदस्य भी थे।

Ramanna served as director of Bhabha atomic research centre for several years and oversaw the country’s first nuclear weapons test (1974). आज जयंती है प्रताप नारायण मिश्र की। उन्‍हें आधुनिक हिन्दी निर्माताओं में से एक माना जाता है। वे हिन्दी खड़ी बोली और भारतेन्दु युग के उन्नायक कहे जाते हैं। प्रताप नारायण मिश्र ने एक लेखक, कवि और पत्रकार के रूप में विशेष प्रसिद्धि पाई थी। मिश्र जी की भारतेन्दु हरिश्चन्द्र में अनन्य श्रद्धा थी। वह स्वयं को उनका शिष्य कहते थे तथा देवता के समान उनका स्मरण करते थे। भारतेन्दु जैसी रचना शैली, विषयवस्तु और भाषागत विशेषताओं के कारण ही प्रताप नारायण मिश्र को 'प्रतिभारतेन्दु' या 'द्वितीयचन्द्र' आदि कहा जाने लगा था। मिश्र जी द्वारा लिखे हुए निबंधों में विषय की पर्याप्त विविधता है। देश-प्रेम, समाज-सुधार एवं साधारण मनोरंजन आदि उनके निबंधों के मुख्य विषय थे। उन्होंने 'ब्राह्मण' नामक मासिक पत्र में हर प्रकार के विषयों पर निबंध लिखे थे। मिश्र जी भारतेन्दु मंडल के प्रमुख लेखकों में से एक थे। उन्होंने हिन्दी साहित्य की विविध रूपों में सेवा की। वे कवि होने के अतिरिक्त उच्च कोटि के मौलिक निबंध लेखक और नाटककार थे।

Influenced by an environment in which the Indian nationalist movement was taking root, she was drawn toward political issues at an early age.  Influenced  and inspired  by dadaboy nauroji and his ideals plunged into the freedom movement.  she also began to meet with other Indian nationalists like Shyamji Varma, Lala Hardayal, and soon became one of the active members of the movement.

भीकाजी रुस्तम कामा भारतीय मूल की फ़्राँसीसी नागरिक थीं, जिन्होंने लन्दन, जर्मनी तथा अमेरिका का भ्रमण कर भारत की स्वतंत्रता के पक्ष में माहौल बनाया। वे जर्मनी के स्टटगार्ट नगर में 22 अगस्त 1907 में हुई सातवीं अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस में तिरंगा फहराने के लिए सुविख्यात हैं। उस समय तिरंगा वैसा नहीं था जैसा वर्तमान में है। ये मैडम कामा के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हैं। उन्‍होंने 'वन्दे मातरम' और 'मदन तलवार' नामक दो क्रांतिकारी पत्रों का प्रकाशन किया।

आज जयंती है जानी-मानी भारतीय तैराक रही आरती साहा की। वे भारत तथा एशिया की ऐसी पहली महिला तैराक थीं, जिसने इंग्लिश चैनल तैरकर पार किया था। आरती साहा ने यह करनामा वर्ष 29 सितम्बर, 1959 में कर दिखाया था और 1960 में उन्हें 'पद्मश्री' से सम्मानित किया गया था। आरती साहा 'पद्मश्री' प्राप्त करने वाली पहली भारतीय महिला खिलाड़ी थीं। उनको "हिंदुस्तानी जलपरी" कहा जाता है। आरती साहा ने ही डॉली नजीर का रिकॉर्ड भी तोड़ने का कारनामा किया था। उन्होंने 1951 में बंगाल स्टेट मीट में 100 मीटर ब्रेस्टस्ट्रोक में डॉली नजीर का रिकॉर्ड तोड़ते हुए 37.6 सेकंड का समय लिया था।

Instrumental group that took the world by storm in the 60s  was the ventures   drummer boy of that wonderful outfit mel taylor took birth this day in Brooklyn and moved to Tennessee in his early teens. Though he was a fan of the drummer Gene Krupa, his first instrument was the guitar. He formed a band, Mel Taylor and the Twilight Ramblers, which soon had its own local radio show. Joined the ventures in 1961  From 1963 on, Mel became known as The Ventures" drummer, recording and performing with them for more than 32 years, traveling all over the US, to Europe and to Japan, where The Ventures" annual tour is considered a major cultural event....

आज जन्‍मदिन है मोहिन्दर अमरनाथ का। वे भारत के ख्यातिप्राप्त पूर्व क्रिकेटरों में से एक हैं। मोहिन्दर अमरनाथ 'जिम्मी' के नाम से भी जाने जाते हैं। अपने समय के तेज़ गेंदबाजों का सामना करने में मोहिन्दर अमरनाथ सबसे माहिर माने जाते थे। वे भारत के पहले टेस्‍ट क्रिकेट कप्तान लाला अमरनाथ के पुत्र हैं। मोहिन्दर अमरनाथ वर्ष 1983 में भारत की पहली विश्व कप जीत में महत्‍वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी। मोहिन्दर अमरनाथ ने वर्ष 1969 में अपना पहला प्रदर्शन एक तेज़ गति के गेंदबाज़ के साथ एक त्वरित हरफनमौला खिलाड़ी के रूप में किया था, लेकिन अपने कैरियर के सर्वोच्च शिखर पर वे हमेशा एक शीर्ष क्रम के बल्लेबाज़ के रूप में आये, जिन्होंने हमेशा भारत के लिए नंबर तीन पर खेला। वे गेंदबाज़ी में भी कुशल थे और गेंद को बड़े कौशल और नियंत्रण के साथ स्विंग और कट करते थे।

Sasha Masakowski a celebrated  jazz guitarist vocalist was born  this day  into a family of musicians in New Orleans, Louisiana and has been a leading voice on the New Orleans music scene since 2009, when she was awarded “Best Emerging Artist” by the Big Easy Association.Her influences draw from jazz to electronic music to rock and she performs often in fully improvised settings to help cultivate her exotic style.
