रेल मंत्रालय ने ओडिशा के बालासोर जिले के बाहंगा में कोरोमंडल एक्‍सप्रेस रेलगाडी के शुक्रवार को दुर्घटनाग्रस्‍त होने की जांच केंद्रीय अन्‍वेषण ब्‍यूरो-सीबीआई से कराने की सिफारिश की है। रेलमंत्री अश्विनी वैष्‍णव ने बालासोर में संवाददाताओं को बताया कि रेलवे बोर्ड ने दुर्घटना के कारण तलाशने और जिम्‍मेदार लोगों की पहचान करने के लिए सीबीआई जांच की सिफारिश की है।

ओडिशा के मुख्‍य सचिव प्रदीप जैना ने कहा कि दुर्घटना में मृतकों की संख्‍या 275 रही है। उन्‍होंने कहा कि इनमें से 88 लोगों की पहचान कर ली गई है और बाकी की पहचान के प्रयास चल रहे हैं। विभिन्‍न शव गृहों में बिना पहचान के पार्थिव शरीर रखे हुए हैं। ये शव भुवनेश्‍वर के अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्‍थान और अन्‍य अस्‍पतालों में हैं।

केंद्रीय स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य और परिवार कल्‍याण मंत्री मनसुख मांडविया, रेलमंत्री अश्विनी वैष्‍णव और शिक्षामंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान कल कटक के एस.सी.बी. मेडिकल कॉलेज और अस्‍पताल गए तथा घायलों के स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य की जानकारी ली।

इस बीच, फंसे हुए यात्रियों और उनके रिश्‍तेदारों के लिए कल दोपहर भद्रक से चेन्‍नई तक कोरोमंडल एक्‍सप्रेस रेलगाडी के मार्ग पर एक विशेष रेलगाडी चलाई गई। ओडिशा के मुख्‍यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने पुरी, भुवनेश्‍वर और कटक से कोलकाता के लिए नि:शुल्‍क बस सेवा की घोषणा की है। यह सेवा रेल यातायात सामान्‍य होने तक जारी रहेगी।

President Droupadi Murmu reached Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname late last night. She is visiting Suriname at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Suriname, Chandrikapersad Santokhi. On her arrival at the Johan Adolf Pengal International Airport, President Murmu was given Guard of Honor and met the Surinamese delegation. The President is accompanied by Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Ministry of Rural development and Ms. Rama Devi, Member of Parliament, along with an official delegation. The visit assumes historical significance as President Murmu will be the Chief Guest at the 150th anniversary celebrations of the arrival of Indians in Suriname, to be celebrated today. President Murmu will hold delegation level talks with her Suriname counterpart today.

A portion of an under construction bridge over the  Ganga River collapsed in Bihar yesterday. The Aguanhighat-Sultanganj Bridge is part of a project to provide road connectivity between the districts of  Khagaria and Bhagalpur.

केंद्र सरकार ने मणिपुर में हिंसक घटनाओं की जांच के लिए एक जांच आयोग की नियुक्ति की है। तीन सदस्‍यों वाले इस आयोग के अध्‍यक्ष गौहाटी उच्‍च न्‍यायालय के पूर्व मुख्‍य न्‍यायाधीश अजय लांबा होंगे। भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा के पूर्व अधिकारी हिमांशु शेखर दास और भारतीय पुलिस सेवा के पूर्व अधिकारी आलोक प्रभाकर आयोग के सदस्‍य होंगे।

आयोग हिंसा और विभिन्‍न समुदायों के सदस्‍यों को निशाना बनाने के कारणों की जांच करेगा। जांच आयोग के दायरे में हिंसक घटनाओं के लिए जिम्‍मेदार अधिकारियों की जांच भी होगी। आयोग का कार्यकाल इसकी पहली बैठक से छह महीने का होगा। आयोग अपनी रिपोर्ट केंद्र सरकार को सौंपेगा। आयोग का मुख्‍यालय इम्‍फाल होगा।  

Union Minster Anurag Singh Thakur has said that the Modi Government in last nine years has made its identity by providing good governance and service and providing benefits to the poor. The Minister said in last nine years 27 percent people have been able to come out of poverty line taking the benefit of government’s various schemes for the welfare of the people. He said due to government’s various initiatives, all public sector banks are running in profit, besides the government has also found solution to various Non Performing Assets.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अमरीका यात्रा से पहले अमरीकी रक्षामंत्री लॉयड आस्टिन दोनों देशों के बीच द्विपक्षीय सामरिक सहयोग को और विस्‍तार देने पर विचार-विमर्श के लिए दो दिन की भारत यात्रा पर कल नई दिल्‍ली पहुंचे। रक्षामंत्री राजनाथ सिंह आज श्री आस्टिन के साथ नई रक्षा सहयोग परियोजनाओं पर विचार-विमर्श करेंगे। यह श्री आस्टिन की दूसरी भारत यात्रा है। इससे पहले वह मार्च 2021 में भारत आए थे।

इसके अलावा, जर्मनी के रक्षामंत्री बोरिस पिस्‍तोरियस भी चार दिन की भारत यात्रा पर आज नई दिल्‍ली पहुंच रहे हैं। श्री राजनाथ सिंह उनके साथ भी द्विपक्षीय वार्ता करेंगे। श्री पिस्‍तोरियस की इनोवेशंस फॉर डिफेंस एक्‍सीलेंस के एक कार्यक्रम में रक्षा स्‍टार्ट-अप्‍स से भी बातचीत करने की संभावना है। बुधवार को जर्मनी के रक्षामंत्री मुंबई जाएंगे और वहां पश्चिमी नौसेना कमान और मझगांव डॉक शिपबिल्‍डर्स लिमिटेड का दौरा करेंगे।

Veteran Actress Sulochana Didi passed away in Mumbai yesterday evening. She was 94. Sulochana didi is famous for her role as a Mother in Bollywood. She was not feeling well from last few days and was on a ventilator. Her last rites will be performed at Shivaji Park Crematorium today.

Indian shooters Abhinav Shaw and Gautami Bhanot have given India their second gold at the ISSF World Cup Junior after winning the final of 10 meter Air Rifle Mixed Team event in Suhl, Germany. Indian team of Shaw and Bhanot registered a 17-7 win over the French pairing of Oceanne Mueller and Romain Aufrere in the gold medal match yesterday.

Chennai crossed 40 degree celsius for the second consecutive day yesterday. Though the westerlies are strengthening ahead of the south west monsoon arrival, the temperature continued to soar in several parts of the city. The trend is said to continue for another two days or a week . Meteorologists said the high temperatures were due to the westerlies, delayed arrival of sea breeze which could bring the temperatures down but weak and offshore winds.

Indian Army  by collaborating with the UDAAN team and ExNoRa International cleaned up the Pallavaram lake, contributing to the preservation of nature and raising awareness about sustainable environmental practices. The  initiative began on June 2nd and continued until June 4th.Simultaneously, a plantation drive was conducted along the periphery of the lake to promote afforestation and enhance the green cover in the area.

BENGALURU METRO

In Bengaluru, due to cancellation of trains towards Kolkata after the major accident in Balasore in Orissa, 1500 passengers are stranded The Karnataka state government has provided shelter to such passengers in the city. The state labour department has made arrangements for their daily food and washroom. The Chief Minister siddaramaiah has issued instructions to ensure that the daily essential requirements of passengers stranded in Bengaluru are properly met by the officials.

Karnataka State Government has taken a decision to build 50 more Indira canteens in Bengaluru. There are 198 Indira canteens functional in the city that serve subsidised cooked food. The government wants to increase it to 250 in Bengaluru.

The Telangana Government in the second phase of its Kanti Velugu (Eye sight) programme, an initiative launched on January 18  by Telangana Chief Minister, Chandrashekhar Rao, has so far conducted eye screening tests to nearly 1.6 crore individuals across the State.

दिल्ली में यमुना नदी को स्वच्छ बनाने के लिए कल यमुना संसद कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम में दिल्ली के जल मंत्री सौरभ भारद्वाज और पर्यावरण मंत्री गोपाल राय शामिल हुए। इस दौरान मंत्रियों ने यमुना नदी को स्वच्छ बनाने की शपथ ली।

इस अवसर पर श्री भारद्वाज ने कहा कि प्रदूषण एक वैश्विक समस्या है, जिसको नियंत्रित करने के लिए सभी को साथ मिलकर काम करना होगा। जल मंत्री ने बताया कि दिल्ली की अनाधिकृत कॉलोनियों में सीवर लाईनों के बिछने के बाद यमुना नदी की स्थिति में सुधार हुआ है।

वहीं, पर्यावरण मंत्री गोपाल राय ने कहा कि दिल्ली के लिए यमुना, महज एक नदी ही नहीं है, बल्कि यह एक बड़े इकोसिस्टम को सहयोग करती है। उन्होंने बताया कि उनकी सरकार ने वर्ष 2025 तक यमुना को प्रदूषण मुक्त करने का लक्ष्य रखा है।

विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के अवसर पर आज दिल्‍ली की यमुना वाटिका में 'पृथ्वी के लिए पौधे' कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया जाएगा। इस कार्यक्रम में दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल विनय कुमार सक्सेना शामिल होंगे। कार्यक्रम का आयोजन दिल्ली विकास प्राधिकरण द्वारा किया जा रहा है।

महाराष्ट्र के राज्यपाल रमेश बैस ने कल मुंबई में राजभवन में आयोजित एक सार्वजनिक स्वागत समारोह में महाराष्ट्र के पद्म पुरस्कार विजेताओं को सम्मानित किया। वसंतराव नाइक कृषि अनुसंधान और ग्रामीण विकास फाउंडेशन द्वारा सार्वजनिक अभिनंदन का आयोजन किया गया था। पद्मभूषण प्राप्तकर्ता डॉ. दीपक धर और पद्मश्री प्राप्तकर्ताओं भीकूजी इदाते, डॉ. परशुराम खुने, डॉ. गजानन माने, रमेश पतंगे और गुरु कल्याणसुंदरम पिल्लई को सम्मानित किया गया। स्वर्गीय पद्मश्री राकेश झुनझुनवाला के लिए सम्मान उनकी पत्नी श्रीमती रेखा झुनझुनवाला ने स्वीकार किया। प्रधानमंत्री राष्ट्रीय वीरता पुरस्कार से सम्मानित रोहन रामचंद्र बहिर को भी सम्मानित किया गया।

विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के अवसर पर आज बृहन्मुंबई नगर निगम- बीएमसी अपने 24 प्रशासनिक प्रभागों में 200 पेड़ लगाने की योजना बना रहा है। इसके अलावा, नागरिक निकाय की अगले एक वर्ष में 25000 पेड़ लगाने की योजना है। इस वर्ष शहरी वन पहल में 50,000 पेड़ मियावाकी पद्धति से लगाए जा रहे हैं। बृहन्मुंबई नगर निगम के उद्यान विभाग ने अब तक मियावाकी पद्धति का उपयोग करते हुए चार लाख से अधिक पेड़ लगाए हैं।

ओडिशा में बालासोर के पास बहनागा बाग बाजार में शुक्रवार को हुए ट्रेन हादसे में पश्चिम बंगाल के यात्रियों की मृत्‍यु का आंकड़ा बढ़कर 62 हो गया है। मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने कल नवान्ना में संवाददाताओं से कहा कि 182 लोगों के शवों की पहचान नहीं हो पाई है। घायलों के साथ 1000 से अधिक यात्रियों को विभिन्न अस्पतालों में भर्ती कराया गया है और कुछ की हालत गंभीर है। राज्य सरकार ने मृतकों के परिवारों को 5 लाख रुपये, गंभीर रूप से घायलों को 1 लाख रुपये, मामूली चोटों वाले लोगों को 25,000 रुपये और मानसिक रूप से पीडित लोगों को 10,000 रुपये का मुआवजा देने की घोषणा की है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि पीडितों को अगले तीन महीनों के लिए 2,000 रुपये के साथ-साथ चावल और दाल जैसी खाद्यान्‍न भी प्रदान किया जाएगा।

Chennai is expected to have a Partly cloudy sky. The minimum temperature is 29 degrees celsius and maximum will be around 40 degrees.

Bengaluru is expected to have a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. The minimum temperature is 22 degrees celsius and maximum will be around 33 degrees.

Hyderabad  is expected to have Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or Thunderstorm or Duststorm. The minimum temperature is 29 degrees celsius and maximum will be around 39 degrees celsius.

विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस - आज विश्‍व पर्यावरण दिवस है। यह दिवस हर साल 5 जून को मनाया जाता है। विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस मनाने की शुरुआत 1972 में हुई थी। संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ ने 5 जून 1972 को पहला पर्यावरण दिवस मनाया, तब से हर वर्ष इस दिन को मनाया जाने लगा।

विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस का मुख्य उद्देश्य लोगों को पर्यावरणीय मुद्दों के बारे में जागरूक करना है. जैसे प्रदूषण, जलसंकट, वनों का अपघात, जलवायु परिवर्तन, बढ़ती जनसंख्या आदि के बारे में बताना है. इसके साथ ही व्यापक स्तर पर पर्यावरण संरक्षण के महत्व को उजागर करना है. इस दिन के माध्यम से लोगों को पर्यावरण की रक्षा के लिए जागरूक करके उन्हें उसकी रक्षा और सुरक्षा के लिए सक्रिय बनाने का प्रयास किया जाता है.

जनजीवन की सुरक्षा के लिए पर्यावरण को सुरक्षित और संरक्षित रखने की जरूरत है। आधुनिकता की ओर बढ़ रहे विश्व में विकास की राह में कई ऐसी चीजों का उपयोग शुरू कर दिया है, जो धरती और पर्यावरण के लिए घातक है। इंसान और पर्यावरण के बीच गहरा संबंध है। प्रकृति के बिना जीवन संभव नहीं है। लेकिन इसी प्रकृति को इंसान नुकसान पहुंचा रहा है। पर्यावरण लगातार दूषित हो रहा है, जो जनजीवन को प्रभावित करने के साथ ही प्राकृतिक आपदाओं की भी वजह बन रहा है।

The World Environment Day is celebrated across the globe on June 05 with great excitement and enthusiasm. It is a renowned day for environmental action that spreads awareness and urges people to take care of our environment and find effective solutions to curb environmental problems. This year will mark the 50th anniversary of World Environment Day. The theme on June 5, 2023, will focus on solutions to plastic pollution under the campaign #BeatPlasticPollution.  

Single-use plastics, in general terms, known as use and throw plastic or disposable plastics, are used only once before they are thrown away or recycled. These items are things like plastic- bottles, food wrappers, sachets, lids, plastic bags, straws, coffee stirrers, soda and Styrofoam cups and most of food packaging items. The plastic we use daily can take 10 years to 1,000 years to decompose.

Plastic waste causes a wide variety of problems when it leaks into the environment. The main problem from the environmental perspective is not single-use plastic but the manner it is disposed of or not disposed of at all and simply dumped in open places. From production and processing to disposal in landfills or water bodies, plastic leaves its carbon footprint at every stage and pose a great danger around the globe.

United Nations is constantly working with Member States, UN agencies, civil society groups, and the private sector, to support efforts that help reduce plastic consumption, raise awareness, and support efforts to find global, regional and local best possible solutions.

Indian Institute of Sustainable Development has played a key role in the campaign against Use of Single-use Plastic. The level of public concern about plastic pollution is totally unprecedented. Micro beads are a kind of micro plastic, with specific function for scrubbing or exfoliating.  These micro plastics, hardly visible to the naked eye, flow straight from the bathroom drain into the sewer system. Wastewater treatment plants are not designed to filter them out. Micro plastics are non- biodegradable and once they enter the environment, they are almost impossible to remove.

Climate change is the single biggest health threat facing humanity, and health professionals worldwide are already responding to the health harms caused by this unfolding crisis. Many people think climate change mainly means warmer temperatures. But temperature rise is only the beginning of the story. Because the Earth is a system, where everything is connected, changes in one area can influence changes in all others.

The climate crisis threatens to undo the last fifty years of progress in development, global health, and poverty reduction, and to further widen existing health inequalities between and within populations. We have another environmentalist onboard.

एक प्रतिभाशाली ग़ज़ल और गीत गायक थे। मास्टर मदन के बारे में बहुत कम लोग जानते है। मास्टर मदन एक ऐसे कलाकार थे जो 1930 के दशक में एक किशोर के रूप में ख्याति प्राप्त करके मात्र 15 वर्ष की उम्र में ही स्वर्गवासी हो गए।

मास्टर मदन ने मात्र 3-4 वर्ष की अल्प आयु में ही शास्त्रीय रागों पर आधारित रचनाओं का गायन प्रारम्भ कर दिया था। पहली बार सार्वजनिक रूप से मात्र साढ़े तीन साल की  उम्र  में गाया। मास्टर मदन को सुनकर श्रोता दर्शक मंत्रमुग्ध हो गए। मास्टर मदन ने जालंधर शहर के प्रसिद्ध हरवल्ल्भ मेले में गाया था और उसके बाद शिमला में भी गाया था।  

उनके जीवन में केवल 8 गाने ही रिकॉर्ड हो पाये जो आज उपलब्ध है। जिनमें से सार्वजनिक रूप से केवल दो ही गानों की रिकॉर्डिंग सब जगह मिल पाती है।
