ओडिसा के बालेश्‍वर में बहनागा रेल दुर्घटना स्थल पर मरम्मत का काम युद्धस्तर पर किया जा रहा है, जिसमें एक हजार से अधिक कर्मचारी दिन-रात जुटे हैं। रेल मंत्रालय के सूत्रों ने कहा कि सात से अधिक पोकलेन मशीनें, दो दुर्घटना राहत ट्रेनें, चार सड़क रेलवे वाहनों  और सुरक्षा क्रेनों को मरम्‍मत के काम में लगाया गया है।

राष्ट्रपति श्रीमती द्रौपदी मुर्मू कल सूरीनाम की अपनी पहली राजकीय यात्रा के लिए रवाना हुई हैं। राष्ट्रपति आज से 9 तारीख तक सूरीनाम और सर्बिया की राजकीय यात्रा पर रहेंगी।  अपनी यात्रा के पहले चरण के दौरान, श्रीमती मुर्मू सूरीनाम गणराज्य के राष्ट्रपति चंद्रिकाप्रसाद संतोखी के निमंत्रण पर 6 जून तक सूरीनाम का दौरा करेंगी। यह यात्रा ऐतिहासिक महत्व रखती है क्योंकि सूरीनाम में 5 जून को मनाए जाने वाले भारतीयों के आगमन की 150वीं वर्षगांठ समारोह में श्रीमती मुर्मू मुख्य अतिथि होंगी। यह यात्रा जनवरी में राष्ट्रपति संतोखी की भारत यात्रा के 6 महीने के भीतर विशेष अतिथि के रूप में प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस में भाग लेने के लिए है। उन्हें 2021 में प्रवासी भारतीय सम्मान पुरस्कार से भी बधाई दी गई थी।

US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin is arriving in New Delhi today on a two-day visit to India to discuss ways to further expand bilateral strategic engagement ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's trip to Washington.  Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh will discuss a number of new defence cooperation projects with Mr Austin tomorrow. It will be Secretary Austin’s second visit to India, the previous one being in March 2021. Separately, German Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius is arriving in New Delhi on a four-day visit to India tomorrow. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh will also hold bilateral talks with his German counterpart. Apart from his meeting with Mr Singh, Mr Pistorius is likely to meet a few defence start-ups during an event organised by Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) in New Delhi. On Wednesday, he will travel to Mumbai where he is likely to visit Headquarters, Western Naval Command and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited. The Defence Ministry said, a host of bilateral defence cooperation issues, with a focus on industrial cooperation, are likely to be discussed during the two meetings.

President Joe Biden has signed legislation that lifts the nation’s debt ceiling, averting an economically disastrous default on the federal government’s debt. The signing of the Fiscal Responsibility Act suspends the debt limit to renew borrowing and avoid a default that would have likely had damaging implications for the American and global economies. The bipartisan deal came after months of political wrangling. The Senate earlier this week passed the Bill to raise the debt ceiling and cap government spending for the next two years. The country's debt currently stands at around 31 trillion dollar. Republicans, who currently have a majority in the House of Representatives, had refused to raise the debt ceiling unless Biden and the Democrats agreed to federal spending cuts. The US Treasury Department had earlier warned that if the debt ceiling was not raised beyond Monday, the US government could run out of money and default on its 31 trillion dollar debt.

In Tennis, top seed Iga Swiatek thrashed China's Wang Xinyu 6-0, 6-0 to reach the French Open fourth round. Poland's Swiatek, going for a third Roland Garros title, has won four of her six sets without dropping a game.

Meanwhile, Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina pulled out of the tournament shortly before her third-round match because of illness. One of the favourites for the title at Roland Garros, the 23-year-old Kazakh was set to play Spain's Sara Sorribes Tormo.

The State health department will shift the geriatric department with six doctors including two chiefs from Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital to the Institute of Ageing, a hospital for the elderly on the campus of the King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research campus in Guindy. The hospital like the Institute for Child Health and the institute for women and children will function as an independent hospital for paediatrics. Rajiv Gandhi Government Central Hospital dean Dr. E.Theranirajan said, the 200 bed geriatric hospital which served as an exclusive covid hospital will soon start functioning as an independent facility for the elderly. Two chiefs and four assistant professors from two units at the department of geriatrics have been told they would be moved to the Guindy campus. Doctors from different specialities will be posted there to ensure care under one roof. With ramps and handrails, hospitals will be more elderly - friendly, he said.

Karnataka state government has come to the rescue of train passengers stranded in Bengaluru. Due to the unfortunate train accident near Balasore in Odisha, the movement of trains from Bangalore to West Bengal and Eastern states were affected. Such passengers are camping at SMVT Baiyappanahalli and Yeshwantpura.  As per the directions of Chief Minister and Deputy CM, BBMP has provided food and drinking water to the adult passengers  and children were provided with milk, bread and biscuits in both the places. The local BBMP officials are stationed at both the places assisting the Railway authorities in providing basic necessities to the stranded passengers.

The G20 3rd Health Working Group meeting will begin this morning in Hyderabad to carry forward the agenda of the G20 Health Track under India’s Presidency.  The 3-day meeting will focus on three priorities including Health Emergencies Prevention, Preparedness, and Response, Access and Availability to Affordable Medical countermeasures, and Digital Health. Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Lav Agarwal informed the media that the meeting will voice the challenges of the Global South and discuss the solutions. The G20 3rd Health Working Group meeting will witness about 180 members, 10 invitees, and 22 international organisations. In addition, the meeting will focus on Research and Development and Innovation in its side events.  Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya earlier yesterday addressed the Global Vaccine Research Collaborative workshop on Vaccine Research and Development: Building Consensus for Future Health Emergencies Prevention, Preparedness, and Response. The event was organised on the side-lines of the 3rd G20 Health Working Group.

दिल्‍ली सरकार सतर्कता और सर्विसेज विभाग में विशेष सचिव वाई.वी.वी.जे. राजशेखर के खिलाफ अनुशासनात्‍मक कार्रवाई करने जा रही है। राजशेखर पर यह कार्रवाई उनके खिलाफ मिली कई शिकायतों के बाद की जा रही है। सर्विसेज मंत्री सौरभ भारद्वाज ने राजशेखर के तत्‍काल तबादले की मांग करते हुए मुख्‍यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल को एक अनुरोध पत्र सौंपा है, जिसमें राजशेखर के भ्रष्‍टाचार और कदाचार से जुड़ी शिकायतों के बारे में विस्‍तृत विवरण है।

दिल्‍ली के जल मंत्री और दिल्‍ली जल बोर्ड अध्‍यक्ष सौरभ भारद्वाज ने कल नजफगढ़ एसटीपी झील का निरीक्षण किया। इस अवसर पर उन्‍होंने अधिकारियों को चार एकड़ में विकसित की जा रही इस कृत्रिम झील के गुणवत्‍तापूर्ण कार्य को समयसीमा के भीतर पूरा करने के निर्देश दिए। उन्‍होंने कहा कि इस झील परियोजना का कार्य पूरा होने के बाद लोग यहां प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य का आनंद ले सकेंगे और इससे भू-जल स्‍तर में भी सुधार होगा। जलमंत्री ने कहा कि इस झील में साल भर स्‍वच्‍छ पानी भरा रहेगा और इसकी स्‍वच्‍छ आबोहवा से आसपास के लोगों को राहत मिलेगी

दिल्‍ली नगर निगम केन्‍द्रीय आवासन और शहरी विकास मंत्रालय की आर्थिक सहायता से शहर में तीन बायोगैस संयंत्र स्‍थापित करने जा रही है। इन संयंत्रों की सहायता से राजधानी में प्रभावी डेयरी तंत्र स्‍थापित करने में मदद मिलेगी, जिसके फलस्‍वरूप अनधिकृत डेयरियों से छुटकारा मिलेगा। कल एक वक्‍तव्‍य में नगर निगम ने जानकारी दी कि 200 टन प्रतिदिन की क्षमता वाले ये बायोगैस संयंत्र गोयला डेयरी, नंगली डेयरी और घोगा डेयरी में स्‍थापित किए जाएंगे। निगम ने यह भी बताया कि नंगली डेयरी में स्‍थापित होने वाले बायोगैस संयंत्र का परीक्षण शुरू हो गया है। निगम ने कहा कि बायोगैस संयंत्र की सहायता से साफ यमुना और लैंडफिल साइटों पर कचरा कम करने के लक्ष्‍य को हासिल करने में मदद मिलेगी

महाराष्‍ट्र सरकार ने आज मुंबई में बजाज फिनसर्व के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्‍ताक्षर किए। समझौते के अंतर्गत गैर-बैंकिंग वित्‍तीय कंपनी पुणे में पांच हजार करोड रुपये का निवेश करेगी, जिससे चालीस हजार रोजगार के अवसर सृजित होंगे। समझौते के बाद महाराष्‍ट्र के उप मुख्‍यमंत्री देवेंद्र फणनवीस ने कहा कि पुणे वित्‍तीय सेवाओं का केंद्र बन रहा है और यह समझौता इस क्षेत्र को और मजबूत करेगा।

ओडिशा में कोरोमंडल एक्सप्रेस हादसे में पश्चिम बंगाल के 31 लोगों के मारे जाने की खबर है। 544 घायल हुए। राज्य के 25 लोगों का ओडिशा के अलग-अलग अस्पतालों में इलाज चल रहा है। 11 घायलों को वापस राज्य लाया गया है और विभिन्न अस्पतालों में भर्ती कराया गया है। राहत और बचाव कार्यों में सहायता और निगरानी के लिए राज्य के चार शीर्ष आईएएस अधिकारी बालासोर में हैं। इसके अलावा दो वरिष्ठ आईएएस को मेदिनीपुर में तैनात किया गया है। बालासोर से एक ट्रेन कल शाम करीब साढ़े छह बजे बचाए गए 700 यात्रियों को लेकर हावड़ा पहुंची।

The government launched Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bhima Yojana in the year 2016 with an aim to provide financial support to farmers suffering crop loss or damage arising out of natural calamities. Now in its eighth year of implementation, this iconic scheme has become the third largest crop insurance scheme in the world in terms of premium. This scheme has been implemented in 27 States and Union Territories. The scheme envisages to cover the maximum number of farmers in the ambit of crop insurance by providing comprehensive risk coverage from pre-sowing to post-harvest losses. The scheme offers very low premium rates for farmers to participate in the scheme.

The number of farmers taking advantage of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana is continuously increasing. So far over 37 crore farmers in India have taken advantage of this scheme. This year alone three crore 12 lakh farmers have been added to this scheme. In Andhra Pradesh this Scheme will benefit more than 40 lakh farmers to get insurance cover in case of natural calamity.

Speaking to Akashvani News, Adhinarayana Reddy a farmer from Prakasam District in Andhra Pradesh said that PM Fasal Bhima Yojana enabled him get crop insurance at very low premiums. He expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for bringing this scheme…

“My name is Adhinarayana Reddy. I am from Guntupalli Village in Prakasam District. Since the last 8 years I have been cultivating. In the past I used to pay 5-8% as premium but got low insurance return when I incurred losses due to calamities. After the introduction of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bhima Yojana in 2016, with contribution of just 1.5% for Rabi and 2% for Kharif, full insurance coverage is being given. I thank the Prime Minister for introducing this scheme. The Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana will not only empower the farmers by securing their livelihood but also help realise the dream of AtmaNirbhar Bharat and AtmaNirbhar Kisaan.

कोलकाता - कोलकाता में आमतौर पर बादल छाए रहने और एक या दो बार गरज के साथ बौछारे हो सकती है। न्यूनतम तापमान 30 डिग्री और अधिकतम 39 डिग्री सेल्सियस के आसपास रहेगा।

Chennai is expected to have partly cloudy sky. The minimum temperature will be 28 degrees Celsius and the maximum will be around 41 degrees Celsius.

Bengaluru is expected to have generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. The minimum temperature will be around 23 degrees Celsius and the maximum will be around 33 degrees Celsius.

Hyderabad will have a partly cloudy sky. The minimum temperature will be 30 degrees Celsius and the maximum will be around 41 degrees Celsius.

इतिहास से अच्छा शिक्षक कोई दूसरा हो नहीं सकता. इतिहास (History) सिर्फ अपने में घटनाओं को नहीं समेटे होता है बल्कि इन घटनाओं से भी आप बहुत कुछ सीख सकते हैं. इसी कड़ी में जानेंगे आज 04 जून को देश-दुनिया में क्या हुआ था, कौन सी बड़ी घटनाएं घटी थीं जिसने इतिहास (History) के पन्नों पर अपना प्रभाव छोड़ा. जानेंगे, आज के दिन जन्में खास व्यक्तियों के बारे में और बात करेंगे उनकी जो दुनिया से इस दिन विदा होकर चले गए। चार जून एक ऐसी तारीख है, जिस दिन कई बड़ी घटनाओं ने देश और दुनिया पर अपनी छाप छोड़ी. ऐसी ही एक घटना चार जून 1989 को चीन की राजधानी बीजिंग में घटी, जहां चीन की सेना ने शांतिपूर्वक प्रदर्शन कर रहे निहत्थे नागरिकों पर बंदूकों और टैंकों से कार्रवाई की जिसमें बड़ी संख्या में लोग मारे गए. इसे इतिहास में ‘थ्येनआनमन स्क्वायर नरसंहार’ के तौर पर जाना जाता है. इसके अलावा चार जून 2001 की एक और बड़ी घटना हुई जब ज्ञानेंद्र वीर बिक्रम शाह ने नेपाल की राज सत्ता संभाली महाराजा ज्ञानेंद्र दुनिया के अंतिम हिन्दू सम्राट थे. हालांकि वह कुछ साल ही नेपाल के सम्राट के पद पर रह पाए क्योंकि उसके बाद एक बड़े आंदोलन के बाद उन्हें सत्ता से बेदखल कर दिया गया।

Today we are remembering Ranjitram Vavabhai Mehta on his death anniversary he was a Gujarati language writer from British India. Mehta worked in different genres of literature such as essay, novel, drama and short story. Ranjitkruti Sangrah, a collection of his writings, was published posthumously in 1921 by K. M. Munshi. Ranjitramna Nibandho, a collection of his essays, was also published posthumously in 1923. Gujarat Sahitya Parishad published his complete work as Ranjitram Gadyasanchay 1-2 in 1982 on his birth centenary. Gujarati Sahitya Akademi has published Ranjitram Vavavbhai ane Temnu Sahitya.[6] His Ahmad Rupande (1908) was a love story between Hindu girl and Muslim boy. In 1905, he had coined the Gujarati words Lokgeet and Lokkatha for folklore in a paper presented at Gujarati Sahitya Parishad.

आज  श्रीपति पण्डितराध्युल बालासुब्रमण्यम की जन्मतिथि है, के प्रसिद्ध पार्श्वगायकों में से एक थे। पार्श्वगायक होने के साथ-साथ वह एक अभिनेता, संगीत निर्देशक, गायक और फ़िल्म निर्माता भी थे। एस. पी. बालासुब्रमण्यम ने छह बार सर्वश्रेष्ठ पार्श्वगायक के लिए 'राष्ट्रीय फ़िल्म पुरस्कार' और आन्ध्र प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा 25 बार तेलुगू सिनेमा में 'नन्दी पुरस्कार' जीता। जब अभिनेता नए-नए फ़िल्मों में आए थे तो कई सालों तक एस.पी. बालासुब्रण्यम को सलमान ख़ान की आवाज़ समझा जाता था। फ़िल्म 'मैंने प्यार किया' के गाने हों या 'साजन' या फिर 'हम आपके हैं कौन'- इन सब फ़िल्मों में सलमान ख़ान को एस.पी. बालासुब्रमण्यम ने ही आवाज़ दी थी।

known mononymously as Nutan, was an Indian actress who worked in Hindi films. In a career spanning nearly four decades, she appeared in more than 80 films, mostly as a protagonist, in both big productions and arthouse films that ranged in genre from urban romances, literary adaptations, to psychological and socio-realist dramas. Regarded as one of the finest actors in the history of Indian cinema, Nutan was noted for her naturalistic acting style in parts of conflicted women often deemed unconventional.  Her accolades include a record five Filmfare Awards for Best Actress and the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1974.

हिंदी फिल्म सिनेमा की दिग्गज अभिनेत्री नूतन अपनी बेहतरीन अदाकारी और शानदार अभिनय के लिए जानी जाती हैं। चार जून 1936 को जन्मी नूतन ‘मिस इंडिया’ का खिताब जीतने वाली पहली एक्ट्रेस थीं। अपने दमदार अभियन करियर के दौरान एक्ट्रेस ने करीब 70 फिल्मों में काम किया। उन्होंने अपने करियर में कई हिट फिल्में।फिल्म 'सीमा' की गौरी हो, 'बंदनी' की कल्याणी हो, 'अनाड़ी' की आरती, या फिर हो सुजाता.. उन्होंने हर किरदार को बड़ी खूबसूरती से निभाया। जिस तरह की सादगी के साथ वह 70mm के पर्दे पर आती थीं, उसी सादगी और सरलता से उन्होंने अपना जीवन भी जिया। नूतन ने साल 1945 की फिल्म नल दमयंती से बतौर चाइल्ड आर्टिस्ट एक्टिंग करियर शुरू किया था। 70 के दशक में बॉलीवुड में बोल्ड और ब्यूटीफुल को परिभाषित करने वाली अदाकारा थीं नूतन। अपने अभिनय से भारतीय सिनेमा में सशक्त छाप छोड़ने वाली अभिनेत्री थीं नूतन। 1951 में नूतन फिल्म नगीना में नजर आईं। जब ये फिल्म रिलीज हुई तो नूतन महज 15 साल की थीं। नियमों के अनुसार ए-सर्टिफिकेट की फिल्मों को 18 साल से बड़े लोग ही देख सकते थे, लेकिन नूतन सिर्फ 15 साल की थीं। फिर क्या था अंडरएज होने के कारण नूतन खुद अपनी फिल्म के प्रीमियर में नहीं जा सकीं। हम लोग फिल्म से फिर एक बार नूतन ने देश भर में अपने अभिनय से लोगों का दिल जीता।वह बेस्ट एक्ट्रेस के लिए सबसे ज्यादा फिल्मफेयर पुरस्कार जीतने का रिकॉर्ड रखती हैं। भारतीय सिनेमा में उनके योगदान और उनकी सशक्त और प्रभावशाली अभिनय के लिए साल 1974 में उन्हें पद्म श्री से सम्मानित किया गया था।

Now we are remembering Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam on his birthday, Balasubrahmanyam also referred to as SPB or SP Balu or Balu, was an Indian playback singer, television presenter, actor, music composer, dubbing artist, and film producer. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest Indian singers of all time. He predominently worked in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi films and sang in a total of 16 languages. Balasubrahmanyam debuted as a playback singer on 15 December 1966 with the Telugu film Sri Sri Sri Maryada Ramanna scored by his mentor, S. P. Kodandapani. In career spanning over five decades, he has won six National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer for his works in four different languages – Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi; 25 Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards for his work in Telugu cinema.
