प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी आज एक दिन के दौरे पर भोपाल जाएंगे। श्री मोदी भोपाल में चल रहे तीनों सेनाओं के संयुक्‍त कमाण्‍डर सम्‍मेलन को भी सम्‍बोधित करेंगे। इससे पहले रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने कल सम्मेलन में भाग लिया। सम्मेलन का उद्देश्‍य राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा के लिए थिएटर कमांड प्रारूप को आगे बढ़ाना, तीनों सेनाओं के बीच समन्वय बढाना और भविष्य में एक साथ काम करना है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी सम्‍मेलन को संबोधित करने के बाद भोपाल के रानी कमलापति रेलवे स्‍टेशन से नई दिल्ली के बीच नई वंदे भारत ट्रेन को भी हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना करेंगे।

The new train being introduced between Rani Kamlapati Railway station, Madhya Pradesh and Nizamuddin railway station in Delhi will be the eleventh Vande Bharat train in the country. Vande Bharat Express has redefined passenger travel experience in the country. Our correspondent reports that the indigenously designed train is equipped with state-of-the-art passenger amenities.

केन्‍द्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह आज शाम, दो दिन के बिहार दौरे पर जा रहे हैं। वे आगामी लोकसभा चुनाव के मद्देनजर रणनीति तय करने के लिए वरिष्‍ठ पार्टी नेताओं के साथ बैठक कर सकते हैं। श्री शाह, रोहतास जिले के सासाराम और नवादा जिले के हिसुआ में कल जनसभाओं को संबोधित करेंगे। अगस्‍त 2022 में बिहार में जनता दल यूनाइटेड द्वारा भारतीय जनता पार्टी से संबंध समाप्‍त करने के बाद अमित शाह की यह चौथी बिहार यात्रा है।

The Government has raised interest rates on most post office saving schemes for the April-June 2023 quarter. An office memorandum issued by the Department of Economic Affairs in the Finance Ministry said, the highest increase is in the interest rate of the National Savings Certificate NSC which will now provide 7.7 per cent up from 7 per cent. The new rate for the girl child savings scheme Sukanya Samriddhi has been increased to 8 per cent from 7.6 per cent. The interest rates for PPF and savings deposits have been retained at 7.1 per cent and 4 per cent. The interest rate on the senior citizen savings scheme is 8.2 per cent up from 8 per cent and Kisan Vikas Patra KVP is 7.5 per cent up from 7.2 per cent. KVP will now mature in 115 months as against 120 months earlier. A one-year term deposit with post offices would earn 6.8 per cent up from 6.6 per cent. For a two-year term deposit it will be 6.9 per cent which was earlier 6.8 per cent. For three-year term deposit, it will be 7 per cent, up from 6.9 per cent. For five years it will be 7.5 per cent which was earlier 7 per cent. Five-year recurring deposit interest rate which was 5.8 per cent in the last quarter will be 6.2 per cent in the new quarter.  Interest rates on Monthly Income Scheme have been increased to 7.4 per cent from 7.1 per cent. The Interest rates were increased in the last quarter as well. Interest rates for small savings schemes are notified quarterly.

इंडिया पोस्‍ट पेमेंट्स बैंक-आई.पी.पी.बी. ने अपने ग्राहकों के लिए व्‍हाट्सऐप बैंकिंग सेवाएं शुरू करने की घोषणा की है। इसकी मदद से उसके ग्राहकों को मोबाइल फोन के माध्‍यम से बैंकिंग सुविधाएं प्राप्‍त होंगी। आई.पी.पी.बी. व्‍हाट्सऐप बैंकिंग की मदद से बैंक के ग्राहक, कई सुविधाओं का लाभ उठा सकेंगे, जिनमें नजदीकी पोस्‍ट ऑफिस का पता लगाना, घर पर सेवाओं की मांग करना जैसी सुविधाएं शामिल हैं। इंडिया पोस्‍ट पेमेंट्स बैंक ने व्‍हाट्सऐप सुविधाएं एयरटेल की मदद से शुरू की हैं।

The three-day 2nd G-20 Tourism Working Group (TWG) Meeting is being held in Siliguri today. Tourism Secretary Arvind Singh said this meeting will carry a message about the prospects and potential of the North Eastern part of India.

The meeting is to be attended by more than 130 Delegates from the G20 Member Countries, Invitee Countries, and International Organizations along with Tourism Industry partners, State Tourism, and local tour operators

Mr Singh said the Government of India is hosting over 200 meetings in more than 59 cities across the country. These destinations have been chosen to showcase India's diverse geographical and rich cultural heritage. Mr Singh said, the main aim behind holding this meeting at Siliguri is to showcase the typical features of the area, tea ploughing to the foreign delegates as well as to expose the opportunities of adventure tourism and local art and culture. This will also carry the message about the huge prospects and potential of the region in the area of tourism.

On the third and final day of the 1st Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group meeting under India's Presidency, a technical session on Ecosystem-based Approaches to Disaster Risk Reduction will be held today. The three-day meeting of the Working Group which is being held at Gandhinagar in Gujarat began on Thursday. Around 100 delegates from the G20 member countries, invitee countries and from nine International organisations are participating in the three-day event.  Today, the participating delegates will also be taken on a field visit to Smritivan Earthquake Memorial and Museum at Bhuj.

Yesterday, on the second day of the meeting, the discussion was held on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, Financing for Disaster Risk Reduction and Post Disaster Response, Recovery, and “Build Back Better”. Five priority areas have been identified for the  Working Group for discussion which includes an early warning for all, disaster-resilient infrastructure and stronger National financial frameworks.

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष (IMF) ने यूक्रेन के लिए 15.6 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर के सहायता पैकेज को मंजूरी दी है। यह सहायता पैकेज संघर्ष-ग्रस्त यूक्रेन  की आर्थिक सुधार में सहायता की दृष्टि से दिया जा रहा है । यह ऋण 115 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर के व्यापक अंतरराष्ट्रीय समर्थन पैकेज का हिस्सा है, जो देश को तत्काल धन की जरूरतों को पूरा करने में मदद करता है। आईएमएफ द्वारा स्वीकृत कुल राशि में से 2.7 बिलियन डॉलर यूक्रेन को तुरंत उपलब्ध कराया जा रहा है और शेष धनराशि अगले चार वर्षों में जारी की जाएगी। विस्तारित फंड सुविधा बड़े पैमाने पर युद्ध में शामिल देश के लिए आईएमएफ द्वारा अनुमोदित पहला प्रमुख वित्तपोषण कार्यक्रम है।

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be visiting Mizoram’s capital city Aizawl today afternoon. On a day’s tour, Shri Shah will inaugurate the construction of Assam Rifles’ new battalion headquarters at Zokhawsang, which is 15 km away from Aizawl city. He will also lay the foundation stone for several other projects worth 2,414 crore rupees. Meanwhile, elaborate arrangements have been put in place by the State administration in and around Aizawl in view of the visit of the Home Minister.

CHENNAI METRO

In accordance with Article 151(2) of the Constitution of India, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India is required to forward his Audit Report on the accounts of the Government of Tamil Nadu to the Honourable Governor, who causes it to be laid on the table of the State Legislature. Accordingly, the State Finances Audit Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Government of Tamil Nadu for the year ended 31 March 2022, was handed over to the Honourable Governor of Tamil Nadu on 31.03.2023 for laying before the State Legislative Assembly. This is stated in a press release issued by the Principal Accountant General.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NITT) and Armored Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL). The MoU was signed by Dr.G.Aghila, Director, NITT, and Shri.Biswaranjan Pattanaik, IOFS, Director, HR, AVNL Co., Avadi, Chennai and it took place in NITT. Through this understanding, both parties will collaborate and coordinate in promoting research, disseminating knowledge, and capacity-building activities that are likely to be mutually beneficial. NITT and AVNL/AVANI propose to collaborate/continue to collaborate in the following broad directions: Research, consultancy, advisory, education, training, and projects under Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR).

BENGALURU METRO

Bengaluru city Namma Metro will extend the train services for the IPL cricket spectators. The Indian Premier League matches will be held at night in April and May in Bengaluru. Hence for the convenience of the spectators, Namma Metro will run late night metro service between Baiyappanahalli and Kengeri and between Nagasandra and Silk Institute. On the days of the matches the last train from Baiyappanahalli, Kengeri, Nagasandra and Silk Institute will leave at 1.00am and from Nadaprabhu  Kempegowda Station at 1.30pm towards all the four directions. For the benefit of the public and also for swift crowd clearance, return journey tickets will be issued in advance from 3.00pm onwards. Apart from this, the metro users can travel by using smart cards and QR tickets at normal fares.

HYDERABAD METRO

In Telangana, the country’s first EV charging station strengthened with the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model has been inaugurated at Yadadri yesterday. In this model, the government engages and encourages private players to supply charging infrastructure and install public charging infrastructure in rural and semi-urban areas. Telangana state renewable energy development corporation chairman Satish Reddy launched the station. He stated on the occasion, that there is no better progress than the progress is shared by a common man. The state government has been working with suppliers and manufacturers to install these charging stations under the PPP model since August last year. The Ministry of Heavy Industries recently stated that 800 crore rupees under FAME India Scheme Phase II has been sanctioned to three PSU oil marketing companies (OMC) for setting up over 7 thousand public fast-charging EV stations across the country.

दिल्‍ली सरकार अम्‍बेडकर विश्‍वविद्यालय के शैक्षिक विस्‍तार के अंतर्गत, स्‍नातक और स्‍नातकोत्‍तर पाठ्यक्रमों के लिए शैक्षणिक सत्र 2023-24 में पांच नए विद्यालयों की शुरुआत करने जा रही है। नए स्‍कूलों में जन-योजना, गणित और डेटा विज्ञान, दर्शन शास्‍त्र और पत्रकारिता अध्‍ययन जैसे पेशेवर पाठ्यक्रम शामिल किए जाएंगे। इस संबंध में दिल्‍ली की शिक्षा मंत्री आतिशी ने कल अम्‍बेडकर विश्‍वविद्यालय और उच्‍च शिक्षा विभाग के अधिकारियों के साथ एक समीक्षा बैठक की। इस अवसर पर उन्‍होंने कहा कि अम्‍बेडकर विश्‍वविद्यालय में इन नए विद्यालयों को जोड़ना देश में उच्‍च शिक्षा की गुणवत्‍ता में सुधार और तेजी से बदलती औद्योगिक मांगों के अनुसार छात्रों को तैयार करने की दिशा में एक महत्‍वपूर्ण कदम है।

दिल्‍ली के मुख्‍यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कल कहा कि दिल्‍ली सरकार कोरोना के बढते मामलों के मद्देनजर किसी भी स्थिति से निपटने के लिए तैयार है। उन्‍होंने लोगों से कहा कि इससे घबराए नहीं बल्कि बचाव के लिए सभी आवश्‍यक उपायों का पालन करें। उन्‍होंने कहा कि राजधानी में कोविड के एक्‍स बीबी 1.16 वैरिएंट के मामले आ रहे हैं जो गंभीर नहीं हैं। मुख्‍यमंत्री ने कहा कि उनकी सरकार के पास सरकारी और निजी अस्‍पतालों में एक लाख से अधिक आरटीपीसीआर जांच की क्षमता है। इसके अतिरिक्‍त सरकारी अस्‍पतालों में कोरोना के लिए लगभग आठ हजार बिस्‍तर तैयार हैं जिनमें अधिकांश खाली हैं। दिल्‍ली में सभी मामलों की जीनोम सिक्‍वेंसिंग हो रही है और हवाई अड्डे पर दो प्रतिशत यात्रियों की रैंडम जांच की जा रही है।

कोलकाता मेट्रो

पश्चिम बंगाल में सामाजिक सुरक्षा से जुड़ी सरकारी योजनाओं का लाभ आम लोगों तक पहुंचाने के लिए कल से दुआरे सरकार कैंप के छठे चरण का शुभारंभ हुआ। मुख्य सचिव श्री हरिकृष्ण द्विवेदी ने इस कार्यक्रम की तैयारी को लेकर जिला अधिकारियों, पुलिस अधीक्षकों, पुलिस आयुक्‍तों और विभिन्न विभागों के अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक की। बाद में उन्होंने संवाददाताओं से कहा कि इस कार्यक्रम से 33 सरकारी कल्याणकारी योजनाओं का लाभ मिलेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि इस कार्यक्रम से पहली बार जनता विधवा पेंशन, मेधाश्री, भविष्य क्रेडिट कार्ड और किसान कृषि सिंचाई योजना के लिए आवेदन कर सकेगी। साथ ही इस बार सभी तक पहुंचने के लिए बूथ स्तर पर शिविरों का आयोजन किया जाएगा। आम लोग 10 अप्रैल तक आवेदन कर सकते हैं, उसके बाद जमा किए गए सभी आवेदनों की जांच की जाएगी और 11 से 20 अप्रैल तक सेवा प्रदान की जाएगी। राज्य स्तर पर एक हेल्पलाइन शुरू की गई है, जिसके नंबर 1800-345-0117 है।

मुम्‍बई मेट्रो

बंबई उच्च न्यायालय ने महाराष्ट्र के उपमुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस की पत्नी अमृता फडणवीस की कथित जबरन वसूली से जुड़े एक मामले में अवैध गिरफ्तारी से राहत की मांग करने वाली बुकी अनिल जयसिंघानी और उनके चचेरे भाई निर्मल की याचिका पर शुक्रवार को सुनवाई पूरी कर ली और अपना फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया। मालाबार हिल पुलिस ने 20 फरवरी को अनिल और उनकी बेटी अनिक्षा के खिलाफ कथित तौर पर अमृता फडणवीस को ब्लैकमेल करने की कोशिश करने का मामला दर्ज किया था। न्यायमूर्ति अजय एस गडकरी और प्रकाश डी नाइक की एक खंडपीठ अधिवक्ता मनन शंघाई द्वारा जयसिंघानी की ओर से दायर याचिका पर सुनवाई कर रही थी, जिसमें दावा किया गया था कि उनकी गिरफ्तारी अवैध थी और सत्र अदालत से उन्हें पुलिस हिरासत में भेजने के आदेश को रद्द करने की मांग की गई थी।

राष्‍ट्रीय राजधानी दिल्‍ली में आंशिक बादल छा सकते हैं। न्‍यूनतम तापमान 15 डिग्री और अधिकतम तापमान 30 डिग्री सेल्सियस रहेगा।

मुम्‍बई में दोपहर या शाम को आंशिक बादल छाए रहेंगे। तापमान 22 डिग्री और अधिकतम तापमान 33 डिग्री सेल्सियस के आसपास रहने की संभावना है।

कोलकाता में कुछ स्‍थानों पर हल्‍की से मध्‍यम बारिश होने की आशंका है। तापमान 23 डिग्री और अधिकतम तापमान 31 डिग्री सेल्सियस के बीच रह सकता है।

Chennai is expected to have generally cloudy sky with light rain. The minimum temperature was 24 degrees celsius and maximum will be around 33 degrees celsius.

Bengaluru is expected to have partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. The minimum temperature was 22 degrees celsius and maximum will be around 32 degrees celsius.

Hyderabad is expected to have Mainly clear sky becoming partly cloudy towards afternoon or evening. The temperature will hover between 24 and 37 degree celsius.

तो पुण्यतिथियों में आज सबसे पहला नाम है

सुप्रसिद्ध हिन्दी साहित्यकार कैलाश वाजपेयी की आज पुण्‍य तिथ‍ि है। उन्हें साहित्य अकादमी सहित कई सम्‍मानों से नवाजा जा चुका है। कैलाश वाजपेयी ‘दार्शनिक मिजाज’ के कवि थे, जिन पर भारतीय अद्वैतवाद और बौद्धदर्शन का गहरा प्रभाव रहा है। उन्होंने कविता के शिल्प में भी परिवर्तन किया। उनकी कविताओं के अनुवाद कई भाषाओं में हुए हैं। उन्होंने अंतरराष्ट्रीय मंचों पर भी कविताएं प्रस्तुत की थीं। दिल्ली दूरदर्शन के लिए कैलाश वाजपेयी ने कबीर, हरिदास स्वामी, सूरदास, जे. कृष्णमूर्ति, रामकृष्ण परमहंस और बुद्ध के जीवन-दर्शन पर फ़िल्में बनाईं। संक्रांत, तीसरा अंधेरा, महास्वप्न का समंदर, सूफीनामा, पृथ्वी का कृष्णपक्ष आदि! स‌ाहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार, व्यास सम्मान, हिंदी अकादमी सम्‍मान, कुछ ऐसे सम्मान थे जिनसे वे सम्मानित हुए थे!

Today is the birth anniversary of the nineth of the ten gurus of sikhism, Guru Tegh Bahadur (1 April 1621 – 11 November 1675). He was the leader of Sikhs from 1665 until 1675. Born in Amritsar, Punjab, India in 1621 and was the youngest son of Guru Hargobind, the sixth Sikh guru. Guru Tegh Bahadur, a principled and fearless warrior, he was a learned spiritual scholar and a poet whose 115 hymns are included in the Guru Granth Sahib. Guru Tegh Bahadur was executed on the orders of Aurangzeb, and the Sikh holy premises of Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib and Gurdwara Rakaaab Ganj Sahib in Delhi mark the places of his execution and cremation of Guru Tegh Bahadur. His martyrdom is remembered as the Shaheedi Divas of Guru Tegh Bahadur every year on 24 November.

प्रगतिशील काव्य-धारा के एक प्रमुख कवि केदारनाथ अग्रवाल(1 अप्रैल, 1911-22 जून, 2000) की आज जयंती है। उनका पहला काव्य-संग्रह 'युग की गंगा' 1947 में प्रकाशित हुआ। हिंदी साहित्य के इतिहास को समझने के लिए यह संग्रह एक बहुमूल्य दस्तावेज़ है। कवि केदारनाथ की लेखनी भारत की सोंधी मिट्टी को प्रतिबिंबित करती है। इनकी कविताओं में भारत की मिट्टी की सुगंध और आस्था का स्वर मिलता है। कवि केदारनाथ अग्रवाल का जन्म 1 अप्रैल, 1911 को उत्तर प्रदेश के बाँदा नगर के कमासिन गाँव में एक मध्यवर्गीय परिवार में हुआ। केदार जी का आरंभिक जीवन कमासिन में हुई। इलाहाबाद स्‍नातक की उपाधि हासिल करने के बाद उन्होंने कानपुर में क़ानूनी शिक्षा हासिल की। बाँदा में वकालत करने लगे थे। उनके प्रमुख काव्‍य संग्रहों में शामिल हैं - युग की गंगा, फूल नहीं, रंग बोलते हैं, गुलमेंहदी, जमुन जल तुम, कहें केदार खरी खरी, मार प्यार की थापें।

Today is the birthday of Bollywood actress Jabeen Jalil. Primarily active during the 1950s and 1960s, she debuted with the film 'Raat Ki Rani' (1953) opposite Shammi Kapoor. She won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in the Punjabi film ‘Chaudhary Karnail Singh’ in 1960, in which Prem Chopra was paired with her. She appeared in a number of films in her film career spanning almost 20 years, such as  New Delhi (1956), Bedard Zamana Kya Jaane,  Panchayat (1956), Raagini (1958) Batwara, Katil Kaun, Jagga Daku, Khilari,Zingaro. फ़ौजा सिंह (1 अप्रॅल, 1911, पंजाब, ब्रिटिश भारत) - सबसे अधिक उम्र में टोरंटो मैराथन में नया कीर्तिमान स्थापित कर गिनीज बुक ऑफ़ वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड्स में अपना नाम दर्ज़ कराने वाले भारतीय धावक फौजा सिंह का आज जन्‍म दिन है। फ़ौजा सिंह को सौ साल के बुजुर्ग के बजाय ‘जवान’ कहना ज़्यादा उचित होगा। उन्‍होंने दुनिया को यह संदेश दिया कि अगर इच्छाशक्ति हो तो उम्र इरादों को नहीं बाध सकती। 100 वर्षीय फ़ौजा सिंह ने 16 अक्टूबर, 2011 को हुई मैराथन दौड़ पूरी करने में आठ घंटे से ज़्यादा का समय लिया। पांच फीट आठ इंच ऊंचाई और 115 पाउंड भार के शाकाहारी फ़ौजा सिंह के दौड़ के प्रति जुनून के चलते उन्हें ‘टरबंड टॉरनेडो’ भी कहा जाता है। फ़ौजा सिंह के कोच हरमंदर सिंह ने कहा था कि जिस उम्र में लोग अपने जूतों को घर के किसी कोने के खूंटी पर टांग देते हैं, उस उम्र में फ़ौजा सिंह का जोश और जज़्बा तारिफ-ए-क़ाबिल है। मैं उनके इस हौसले को सलाम करता हूँ।

Today is the birth anniversary of musician and songwriter Ronald Lane (1 April 1946 – 4 June 1997) One of the founding members of the band, Small Faces (1965–69) and subsequently Faces (1969–73), he wrote many of the bands hit singles including "All or Nothing", "Itchycoo Park" and  "Lazy Sunday". For his work in both Small Faces and Faces, he was inducted posthumously into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. Lets listen in

Today is the birth anniversary of cricketer Ajit Wadekar (1 April 1941 – 15 August 2018)  An aggressive batsman, he played for the Indian national team between 1966 and 1974. He made his first-class debut in 1958, before making his foray into international cricket in 1966. He batted at number three and was considered to be one of the finest slip fielders. Ajit Wadekar also captained the Indian cricket team which won series in the West Indies and England in 1971. He was honoured with the Arjuna Award in 1967 and the Padmashri in 1972.
