Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving in Bhopal tomorrow on a day long visit. Mr. Modi will address the joint commanders' conference of the three services going on in Bhopal. He will address the Conference at Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center. The theme of the conference is 'Ready, Resurgent, Relevant'. Commanders of the three services and senior officials of the Ministry of Defense are participating in the conference.
The Defence Minister Rajnath Singh participated in the conference today. The focus of the conference is on advancing the theatre command format for national security, increasing coordination among the three forces and working together in the future.
The Prime Minister will flag off the Vande Bharat Express train between Bhopal and New Delhi tomorrow at Rani Kamlapati Railway Station in Bhopal. This will be the eleventh Vande Bharat train in the country. Our correspondent has filed this report:
Indian Railways is constantly striving to build a robust Railways infrastructure in the country. The aim of these efforts are to provide world class amenities to the passengers and reduce the travel time. To achieve these goals, indigenous high speed trains Vande Bharat are being run in many parts of the country. This train has the capability to run at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour. The Vande Bharat train between Madhya Pradesh and New Delhi will cover a distance of around 700 kilometres in around seven hours 50 minutes. It will have stoppages at Bina, Jhansi, Gwalior, Agra and Palwal. The train will provide faster, comfortable and convenient travel experience to the rail users. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal today launched the Foreign Trade Policy 2023 in New Delhi. In his address, Mr Goyal said, the policy is dynamic and has been kept open ended to accommodate the emerging needs of the time. He said, the policy has been formulated after multiple stakeholder consultations. The Minister said, India's overall exports including services and merchandise exports have already crossed 750 Billion dollars and it is expected to cross 760 Billion dollars this year. He said, FTP seeks to take India's exports to two trillion dollars by 2030.
The Minister referred to the interaction of the Prime Minister with exporters where Mr Modi encouraged them to increase exports and get more deeply involved in the global value chain.
The Key Approach to the Foreign Trade policy is based on the 4 pillars, Incentive to Remission, Export promotion through collaboration, Ease of doing business and Emerging Areas.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah today spoke to West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose and took stock of the situation in the wake of yesterday's violence in Howrah between two groups during a Ram Navami procession. Sources said, during the telephonic conversation with the Governor, the Home Minister took detailed information on the incident and the current situation in the city.
Meanwhile, the situation at Kajipara area of Shibpur in Howrah has improved. The Chief Secretary Harikrishna Dwivedi told news persons this afternoon that the law and order situation is almost under control. He said, the roads are now open, and public transport is also plying. He added, that normalcy in civic life has already been restored. However strict vigil is being kept in the area.
Home secretary B P Gopalika briefed the Governor about the situation.
Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee appealed to all to maintain peace and harmony. She has assured to compensate those whose car and shops got damaged during violence. She said, 35 persons have been arrested so far. Ms Banerjee said, Police have been asked not to spare any of the culprits.
The Leader of Opposition Shuvendu Adhikari has demanded an enquiry by NIA to ascertain the main cause behind the incident. The state BJP chief Sukanta Majumder said, he would write to the Union Home Minister demanding central intervention and enquiry.
Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has condemned the violence in West Bengal. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr Thakur said, if journalists are becoming victims of violence and the State government remains a mute spectator, what can be more shameful than this.

Prime Minister Narenda Modi today hailed the decision of implementation of levelized Unified Tariffs in the Natural Gas Sector terming it a noteworthy reform in energy and gas sector.
On the line of One Nation, One Grid and One Tariff the levelized Unified Tariffs in the Natural Gas Sector will come into effect from tomorrow.
The Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has already issued the notification in this regard and it will be implemented in the entire gas network of the country which has been categorized in three tariff zones. These zones are based on their distance from the gas source.
The Regulatory Board has said that the levelized Unified tariff will be 73.93 rupees per Metric Million British Thermal Unit.
According to PNGRB the new initiative will provide a major boost to economic development of all regions of the country.
On the second day of the 1st G20 Disaster Risk Reduction Working Group Meeting, discussions focused on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure and Financing for Disaster Risk Reduction. They also discussed Post Disaster Response, Recovery, and “Build Back Better”. Five priority areas have been identified for discussion including early warning for all, disaster resilient infrastructure and stronger National financial frameworks. The three-day meeting is being held at Gandhinagar in Gujarat in which around 100 delegates including from G20 countries and invitee countries are participating. More from our correspondent:
During the meeting, the participants explored potential financing models, policy frameworks and principles for resilient infrastructure. India's strong commitment towards Disaster Risk Reduction efforts was demonstrated through the hosting of this meeting. The deliberations on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure and Financing for Disaster Risk Reduction highlighted the need for increased investments and innovative financing mechanism to reduce the impact of disasters. The Working Group meeting has enabled G20 countries to share best practices, discuss challenges and identify opportunities to collaborate towards achieving the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction Goals. The first day of the plenary session of the G20 Sherpa meet today had sessions focussing on Technological Transformation, Accelerated Inclusive and Resilient Growth and Women-led Development. The Sherpas also took stock of the progress made by various Sherpa track working groups like Digital Economy, Health, Education, Tourism, Culture and Employment among others. They proposed actionable deliverables and suggested the way forward on important deliberations. The Sherpas participated in discussions held on a houseboat on the backwaters, as part of the attempt to take forward the agenda of G20.
