प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज दिन में 11 बजे आकाशवाणी से 'मन की बात' कार्यक्रम में देश-विदेश के लोगों से अपने विचार साझा करेंगे। यह मासिक रेडियो कार्यक्रम की 99वीं कड़ी होगी। इसे आकाशवाणी और दूरदर्शन के सभी नेटवर्क पर प्रसारित किया जाएगा।

The Disturbed Areas status under the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958 has been lifted from the jurisdiction of four more Police Stations in Manipur. Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh conveyed thankfulness to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for acknowledging the sentiments of the public of Manipur and bringing peace and normalcy in the State. The new four police Stations from the Disturbed Areas status have been lifted are Nambol, Leimakhong, Moirang and Wangoi Police Stations. Earlier the government has lifted the status from the jurisdiction of 15 police stations and now the status is no more implemented in altogether 19 police stations of Manipur.  Speaking to media persons last evening, Shri Biren said that under the guidance of Prime Minister and Union Home Minister, Manipur has witnessed progress in development and peace. Many unlawful insurgency groups and cadres have joined mainstream society. Therefore, the government has been able to lift the Disturbed Areas status from the jurisdiction of more police stations, he added.

In the United States, at least 26 people were killed after a tornado and severe storms swept through the state of Mississippi last night. According to the emergency management organisation of the southern state, tens of thousands of residents in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee were without electricity, and at least four individuals were reported missing and injured. Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves said, the death toll is expected to rise further as search and rescue operations continue in Sharkey and Humphreys counties. The National Weather Service warned residents that as clean-up operations continue, dangers remain even after the storms move on. Last month, a series of tornadoes lashed the central US, leaving a trail of wreckage and injuries as winter storms cause extreme weather around the country.

जी-20 की पर्यावरण और जलवायु कार्यसमूह की दूसरी बैठक कल से गुजरात की राजधानी गांधीनगर में होगी। तीन दिन की इस बैठक का आयोजन पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय ने जल शक्ति मंत्रालय के साथ मिलकर किया है। इस बैठक में जल संसाधन प्रबंधन के मुद्दों पर चर्चा होगी। बैठक में जी-20 देशों और अतिथि देशों के प्रतिनिधि अपने देश में जल प्रबंधन संबंधी सर्वोत्‍तम कार्यशैली को साझा करेंगे ताकि अन्‍य देश उनसे सीख ले सकें।

The Union Health Ministry has asked the States and Union Territories to keep a close watch on the evolving cases of diseases including COVID-19, Influenza Like illness and Severe Acute Respiratory illness in the country. In an advisory, the Ministry said COVID-19 and influenza share a number of similarities in terms of mode of transmission, high-risk population, clinical signs and symptoms. It said, these diseases can be prevented by following simple public health measures including avoiding overcrowded and poorly ventilated settings, using handkerchiefs/tissue while sneezing or coughing, wearing a mask in crowded and closed settings, maintaining hand hygiene and avoiding spitting in public places. The Ministry also stressed raising community awareness regarding adherence to respiratory and hand hygiene to limit the transmission of these diseases.

गृह और सहकारिता मंत्री अमित शाह ने कहा है कि छत्‍तीसगढ के बस्‍तर संभाग में माओवादियों के विरुद्ध संघर्ष अब निर्णायक दौर में है। उन्‍होंने कहा कि केंद्रीय रिज़र्व पुलिस बल-सीआरपीएफ ने माओवादियों के प्रभाव को कम करने में महत्‍वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है। गृह मंत्री ने कल छत्तीसगढ़ में बस्तर संभाग के मुख्यालय जगदलपुर में सीआरपीएफ के 84वें स्थापना दिवस परेड समारोह को संबोधित किया।

Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has criticized the Congress leaders for defending Rahul Gandhi over his Lok Sabha (LS) membership termination. In a series of tweets, Mr Thakur said, it is an utter disrespect towards judiciary and people. He also accused Mr Gandhi of employing publicity gimmicks. Citing a previous case to support his argument, Mr Thakur said that in the 2013 Lily Thomas Vs Union of India case, the Supreme Court has set aside Section 8(4) of Representation of the People Act. He said, this section once protected convicted legislators from disqualification on account of their pending appeal.

Rela Hospital and the Rotary Club of Madras Mount organised a walkathon in Chennai to create awareness about Varicose Veins among traffic policemen. Hundreds of people, including police personnel, participated in this walkathon. Deputy Commissioner of Police S. Sakthivel, flagged off the event yesterday. The event is titled - Let’s Win Over Varicose Veins Walk for Well Being Walkathon. Varicose veins are a condition caused by poor functioning valves in the veins. This causes blood to gather in the legs rather than flow back to the heart. Common symptoms include throbbing pain, swelling of legs or ankles, itching around affected areas and visible bulging or twisted veins on the skin’s surface. Maintaining a healthy weight, walking, exercising regularly and wearing stockings when necessary can prevent the onset of the disease. Treatment options range from lifestyle changes to surgical procedures, depending on severity.

Ms Indra Nooyi, Former CEO, of PepsiCo at the panel discussion on the topic -Women in Technology at Umagine Chennai. She said that Tamil Nadu is one of the best-performing states and the state has performed well in all 12 categories, and it was Number 1 in inclusive development. However, there is still a long way to go. Umagine Chennai 2023, Asia’s largest Technology, Entrepreneurship & Skills summit, was held at Chennai Trade Centre. The theme of the Conference was “Leave the future behind”. It was hosted by the Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Ltd (ELCOT); Software Technology Parks of India was the Co-Host, and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is the Industry Partner for Umagine Chennai.

Karnataka Governor Thawarchand Gehlot has called upon citizens to be partners in growth to transform India into a developed country by the next 25 years. He was speaking after inaugurating the statue of Dr. K M Munshi, the founder of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan at the Bhavan premises in Bengaluru yesterday. The Governor said that Dr Munshi was a visionary with a profound personality. He noted that Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is playing a constructive role to inculcate moral values and create awareness about our rich cultural heritage in the current generation. He also laid emphasis on the need to conserve the environment and arrest climate change.

As part of the Green India Challenge Initiatives, Rachakonda Police Commissionarate along with the Rotary Club of Hyderabad Elite and others, conducted a mega sapling plantation yesterday and planted over three thousands saplings at Medipally village. Commissioner of Police D.S. Chauhan who was a part of the drive elaborated on the significance of trees in restoring oxygen levels of the environment. Stating that the Telangana state Government’s initiative, Haritha Haram has been the inspiration behind the Green India Challenge, the commissioner recalled Member of Parliament J. Santosh Kumar’s contribution towards enhancing the forest cover in the state. He said Telangana tops in enhancing the forest cover and there is a definite need to promote and make people aware of the significance of planting trees and its overall impact on the environment.

महाराष्ट्र के उप मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने कल राज्य विधानसभा में बृहन्मुंबई महानगर पालिका के बारे में भारत के नियंत्रक और महालेखा परीक्षक की रिपोर्ट पेश की। इसमें कई अनियमितताओं का उल्लेख किया गया है। श्री फडणवीस ने आरोप लगाया कि बीएमसी का प्रशासन पूरी तरह से भ्रष्ट है।

महाराष्ट्र विधान परिषद ने शनिवार को गायों और अन्य मवेशियों के संरक्षण, सुरक्षा और कल्याण के लिए एक 'गोसेवा आयोग' की स्थापना के लिए एक विधेयक पारित किया। विधेयक को पशुपालन और डेयरी विकास मंत्री राधाकृष्ण विखे पाटिल ने पेश किया था। विधेयक का उद्देश्य स्वदेशी मवेशियों के प्रजनन को प्रोत्साहित करना है, जिसमें "गैर-वर्णित मवेशी", चारे की उन्नत किस्मों की खेती और उत्पादन और चारागाह विकास गतिविधियाँ शामिल हैं।

महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे ने कल दक्षिण मुंबई में एक विधायक छात्रावास के नवीनीकरण कार्य का शुभारंभ किया। कोलाबा क्षेत्र में स्थित, राजसी विधायक छात्रावास एक ग्रेड 2ए विरासत भवन है। यह जर्जर हालत में था। परिसर के आधुनिकीकरण और जीर्णोद्धार का काम 18 महीने में पूरा कर लिया जाएगा।

पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार मिड-डे मील के माध्यम से स्कूली छात्रों को संतुलित और पौष्टिक सब्जियां प्रदान करने में स्कूलों को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए सभी सरकारी सहायता प्राप्त स्कूलों में किचन गार्डन विकसित करने की योजना बनाई है। केंद्रीय राज्य संयुक्त निरीक्षण दल के सदस्य पहले ही राज्य के विभिन्न जिलों में जमीनी स्तर पर पीएम पोषण या मध्याह्न भोजन योजना के कार्यों का निरीक्षण कर चुके हैं। राज्य सरकार द्वारा स्कूल परिसर में सब्जियों के बाग लगाने की पहल की सराहना की थी। विद्यालय प्रांगण में बहुमूल्य पौधे लगाने एवं सब्जी की खेती के लिए 15 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किये गये हैं। राज्य में लगभग 84,000 प्राथमिक और उच्च प्राथमिक विद्यालय हैं।

दिल्ली नगर निगम के विद्यालयों में कल मेगा पीटीएम का आयोजन किया। इस वर्ष निगम के विद्यालयों में एक लाख 89 हजार विद्यार्थियों ने पांचवी कक्षा की परीक्षा दी थी और सभी उत्तीर्ण हो कर दिल्ली सरकार के विद्यालयों में छठी कक्षा में प्रवेश लेंगे। निगम ने इस वर्ष शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में कई महत्‍वपूर्ण बदलाव किए हैं। निगम ने ज्ञानोदय यूट्यूब चैनल, एडुलाइफ पोर्टल, विद्यार्थियों की प्रगति के लिए पोर्टफोलियो, सभी विद्यालयों में एक समान टाइम टेबल, स्मार्ट-क्लास, कंप्यूटर आधारित शिक्षा जैसी नई पहल की हैं। पीटीएम में मेधावी परीक्षा की भी जानकारी दी गयी। पहली बार मेधावी में समसामयिकी, रीजनिंग और लॉजिकल एप्टीट्यूड को शामिल किया गया था। इस मेगा पीटीएम में पहली बार अभिभावकों से शिक्षा में सुधार के लिए सुझाव मांगे गए। अभिभावकों ने शिक्षा व्यवस्था तथा नई पहलों की सराहना की।

दिल्‍ली सरकार ने राजधानी में पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने, ऐतिहासिक विरासतों  के प्रति आकर्षण बढ़ाने और शहर के स्मारकों के विकास की कहानी बताने के लिए हेरिटेज वॉक के नये संस्करण की शुरूआत की। इसकी शुरूआत हौज खास क़िले से की गई। पर्यटन विभाग शहर भर में छह सर्किटों पर हेरिटेज वॉक का आयोजन कर रहा है ताकि पर्यटक शहर को बेहतर ढंग से देख सकें और समझ सकें। इसमें नई दिल्ली के साथ-साथ पुरानी दिल्ली मे भी वॉक का आयोजन किया जाएगा। ये हेरिटेज वॉक शनिवार और रविवार को आयोजित की जाएंगी ताकि अधिक से अधिक लोग इसका लाभ उठा सकें।

दिल्ली नगर निगम ने दक्षिण दिल्‍ली के डीएलएफ छतरपुर क्षेत्र में एक फार्म हाउस को संपत्ति कर का भुगतान न करने के कारण कल सील कर दिया है। इस फार्म हाउस पर एक करोड नौ लाख रुपये का संपत्ति कर बकाया है।  निगम ने इस तरह की कार्रवाई से बचने के लिए, संपत्ति कर बकायादारों को सलाह दी है कि वे इस महीने की 31 तारीख से पहले अपने बकाया संपत्ति कर का भुगतान कर दें और निगम द्वारा शुरू की गई आम माफ़ी योजना का लाभ उठाएं। यह योजना केवल 31 मार्च तक  लागू रहेगी।

नई दिल्‍ली में विश्‍व महिला मुक्‍केबाजी चैम्पियनशिप में नीतू घनघस और स्‍वीटी बूरा ने स्‍वर्ण पदक जीत लिए हैं। 48 किलो भार वर्ग के फाइनल में नीतू ने मंगोलिया की एलटेंट सेटसेग लुसाईखान को 5-0 से हराकर खिताब जीता। 81 किेलो भार वर्ग के फाइनल में स्‍वीटी बूरा ने भी चीन की लीना वैंग को हराकर स्‍वर्ण पदक जीता। स्‍वीटी ने 2014 में रजत पदक जीता था। अब तक सात भारतीय मुक्‍केबाज विश्‍व चैंपियन बन चुके हैं।प्रतियोगिता में आज 50 किलो लाइट फ्लाइवेट वर्ग के फाइनल में भारत की निकहत जरीन का सामना वियतनाम की ग्वेन थी टैम से होगा। 75 किलो मिडल वेट वर्ग में लवलीना बोरगेहेन स्‍वर्ण पदक के लिए ऑस्‍ट्रेलिया की एनी कैटलीन पार्कर की चुनौती का सामना करेंगी।

भोपाल में 8वीं विश्‍व कप निशानेबाजी चैंपियनशिप में भारत की मनु भाकर ने 25 मीटर पिस्‍टल स्‍पर्धा में कांस्‍य पदक जीत लिया है। मनु 20 अंक अर्जित कर तीसरे स्‍थान पर रहीं। स्‍वर्ण पदक जर्मनी की वैनकैंप डोरीन ने जीता। चीन की डू जियू ने रजत पदक हासिल किया। भारत एक स्वर्ण, एक रजत और चार कांस्य पदक लेकर दूसरे स्थान पर है। चीन 6 स्‍वर्ण, दो रजत और दो कांस्‍य पदक सहित कुल 10 पदकों के साथ शीर्ष पर है।

मुंबई के ब्रेबोर्न स्‍टेडियम में महिला प्रीमियर लीग क्रिकेट के फाइनल में आज डेल्‍ही कैपिटल्‍स का मुकाबला मुंबई इंडियंस से होगा। मुंबई इंडियंस ने एलिमिनेटर मैच में यूपी वारियर्स को 72 रन से हराकर फाइनल में प्रवेश किया। 183 रन के लक्ष्य के जवाब में यूपी वारियर्स की टीम 14 गेंद शेष रहते 110 रन पर आउट हो गई। किरन नवगिरे ने सर्वाधिक 43 रन बनाए। मुंबई इंडियन्‍स के लिए इसाबेल वोंग ने शानदार गेंदबाजी करते हुए सर्वाधिक चार विकेट लिए। वोंग ने डब्‍ल्‍यू पी एल में पहली हैट्रिक लगाकर इतिहास रचा। सायिका ईशहक ने दो और नताली साइवर-ब्रंट ने एक विकेट लिया। इससे पहले, मुंबई इंडियन्‍स ने 20 ओवर में 4 विकेट पर 182 रन का स्कोर बनाया। नेट साइवर-ब्रंट ने 38 गेंद में नाबाद 72 रन की तेज पारी खेली। उन्‍हें प्लेयर ऑफ द मैच चुना गया।

कोलकाता में बादल छाए रहेंगे और हल्‍की वर्षा की संभावना है। न्‍यूनतम तापमान 25 डिग्री सेल्सियस और अधिकतम तापमान 34 डिग्री सेल्सियस के आसपास रहेगा।

⦁ 1974 - लाता गाँव, हेन्वाल घाटी, गढ़वाल हिमालय में गौरा देवी के नेतृत्व में 27 महिलाओं के एक समूह ने पेड़ों को बचाने के लिए पेड़ों के आसपास घेरा बना लिया और उन्हें अपने इस प्रयास से भारत में चिपको आंदोलन को आरंभ किया। after this incident the uttarpradesh govt formed a committee of experts who stated that the Reni forest was an ecologically sensitive area and that no trees should be felled there.

आज पुण्यतिथि है आनंद शंकर की. वह  भारतीय गीतकार और संगीतकार थे। वे विश्व प्रसिद्ध सितारवादक पंडित रवि शंकर के भतीजे थे। इन्होंने अपने जीवनकाल में पूर्वी संगीत शैलियों में पश्चिमी संगीत शैली का उत्कृष्ट मिश्रण कर संगीत को एक नया रूप दिया। सन 1990 के दशक के मध्य जब डीजे की संस्कृति का प्रचलन प्रारम्भ हुआ तो आनंद शंकर ने भी डिस्को के अनुरूप संगीत का निर्माण किया, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप इन्होंने वर्ष 1996 में ‘ब्लू नोट्स’ के अंतर्गत ‘ब्लू जूस वॉल्यूम 1’ नामक नए एल्बम का निर्माण किया था। इसके दो संस्करण लांच हुए थे- स्ट्रीट्स ऑफ कलकत्ता और डांसिंग ड्रम्स।
