प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी आज अपने संसदीय क्षेत्र वाराणसी जाएंगे। वे आज सुबह लगभग साढे दस बजे रूद्राक्ष कनवेंशन सेंटर में एक विश्‍व तपेदिक सम्‍मेलन -वन वर्ल्‍ड टीबी सम्‍मेलन को संबोधित करेंगे। बाद में श्री मोदी दोपहर में संपूर्णानंद संस्‍कृत विश्‍वविद्यालय परिसर में एक हजार सात सौ अस्‍सी करोडꠀ रुपये से अधिक की कई परियोजनाओं की आधारशिला रखेंगे। इसमें वाराणसी कैंट स्‍टेशन से गोदौलिया तक यात्री रोपवे परियोजना शामिल है। लगभग चार किलोमीटर की रोपवे प्रणाली में चार स्‍टेशन होंगे और इससे पर्यटकों, तीर्थ यात्रि‍यों और वाराणसी के निवासियों का आवागमन आसान हो जाएगा।

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair the Regional Conference on 'Drug Trafficking and National Security' in Bengaluru today. During the meeting, due emphasis will be laid on aspects like ways to curtail drug trafficking through maritime route and stringent punitive action on drug traffickers resulting into zero tolerance.  Seamless coordination or cooperation between State and Central Drug Law Enforcement Agencies and containment of spread of drug abuse through concerted awareness programme are the other aspects which will also be discussed during the meet.  Mr Shah will also oversee destruction of nine thousand 298 Kilogram of seized drugs valued at one thousand 235 crore rupees. Representatives from 5 Southern States and three Union Territories will also be attending the Conference.

भारत की जी-20 की अध्‍यक्षता के अंतर्गत जी-20 सतत वित्‍तीय कार्यकारी समूह की दूसरी बैठक कल उदयपुर में सफलतापूर्वक संपन्‍न हो गई। आर्थिक कार्य विभाग में सला‍हकार सुश्री गीतू जोशी ने संवाददाता सम्मेलन में कहा कि वर्ष-2023 के लिए तय कार्य योजना का आधा काम पूरा हो गया है। सदस्‍य देश इस वर्ष में महत्‍वपूर्ण कार्यों को आगे ले जाने पर सहमत हुए। इनमें जलवायु परिवर्तन से संबंधित कार्यों के लिए वित्‍तीय संसाधन जुटाना और जी-20 सतत वित्‍तीय तकनीकी सहायता कार्य योजना शामिल है।

In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled the State Youth Policy and a Youth Portal yesterday. Making several announcements for the youth on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the State Level Youth Commission will be reconstituted by April 5.

The MP government has given several concessions in the youth policy to connect the youth with employment. The most significant of them is that, to participate in the recruitment process for all government posts in the state, the examination fee will have to be paid only once.  Another noteworthy announcement is that a separate merit list will be made for admission to MBBS and BDS for the students studying in government schools of the state. 5 percent seats will be reserved in colleges for this purpose.  Shri Chouhan also announced the implementation of Mukhya Mantri Yuva Kaushal Earning Scheme . Under the scheme, an amount of at least Rs 8 thousand will be given to the youth every month on the basis of learning and earning. The Chief Minister informed that from next year a youth budget will also be made and Khelo MP Youth Games will be organized every year.

रक्षा मंत्रालय ने वायु सेना की परिचालन क्षमताओं को बढ़ाने के लिए भारत इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स लिमिटेड के साथ तीन हजार सात सौ करोड़ रुपये से अधिक के दो अलग-अलग अनुबंधों पर हस्ताक्षर किए। दो हजार 800 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक का पहला अनुबंध मध्यम शक्ति वाले रडार 'अरुधरा' की आपूर्ति का है। लगभग 950 करोड़ रूपये का दूसरा अनुबंध 129 DR-118 रडार चेतावनी से संबंधित है। ये अनुबंध रक्षा निर्माण में आत्मनिर्भरता हासिल करने में मदद करेंगे।

In the Kashmir Valley, Police alongwith security forces have arrested a terrorist associate of the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba in Sopore and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession. Acting on specific intelligence on the movement of terrorist associates, Police alongwith Army's 52 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF 177 Battalion launched a joint Cordon and search operation near Railway Station Peth Seer.

In France, police fired tear gas to repel violent protesters in Paris as hundreds of thousands of protesters marched across the country against President Emmanuel Macron's plan to raise the pension age. In a ninth day of nationwide protests, train and air travel was disrupted while many teachers walked off the job. In central Paris, the demonstrators were generally peaceful, however smaller groups of Black Bloc anarchists smashed shop windows. Bordeaux town hall was set on fire. The protests started after the government pushed through a legislation to raise the retirement age by two years to 64 without a vote in the parliament. President Macron on Wednesday said the legislation would come into force by year-end despite escalating anger across the country.

The National Institute of Urban Affairs is organising the first Urban Climate Film Festival under U20 engagement events from today. A curated selection of 11 films from nine countries will be showcased to create wider awareness of the impact of climate change on life in cities. The selected films will be screened at the festival in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad. The Urban Climate Film Festival will be launched today at the M.L. Bhartia Auditorium in New Delhi. The festival is being organised with support from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the French Development Agency and the European Union.

हिमाचल प्रदेश, उत्‍तराखंड, पंजाब, हरियाणा, चंडीगढ़, पश्चिम उत्‍तर प्रदेश और राजस्‍थान सहित उत्‍तर पश्चिम भारत में वर्षा और गरज के साथ छींटे पड़ने का अनुमान है। मौसम विभाग ने कहा है कि आज हिमाचाल प्रदेश, उत्‍तराखंड और पंजाब में कहीं-कहीं भारी बारिश हो सकती है। मध्‍य भारत के लिए विभाग ने अगले दो दिन शुष्क मौसम और उसके बाद मध्य प्रदेश, विदर्भ और छत्तीसगढ़ में 24 से 26 मार्च तक बारिश और आंधी या ओलावृष्टि की संभावना जताई है। दक्षिण भारत में तेलंगाना, केरल और भीतरी कर्नाटक में कल से बारिश और गरज के साथ छींटे पड़ने का अनुमान व्‍यक्‍त किया है। मौसम विभाग ने कहा है कि पूर्वोत्तर भारत में दो दिनों तक आंधी, बिजली और तेज हवाओं के साथ मध्यम बारिश जारी रहेगी। देश के पूर्वी हिस्सों में 26 मार्च को फिर से आंधी चलने तथा गरज के साथ बारिश होने का अनुमान है।

Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has said his Ministry, National Sports Federations (NSFs) and Sports Authority of India (SAI) are working in close coordination to train Indian sportspersons for the forthcoming Asian Games scheduled to be held in September-October this year and next year’s Paris Olympics. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Mr Thakur said, the Government is providing all requisite support and facilities to the athletes to enable them to do their best in the forthcoming Asian Games and 2024 Olympics.

In Boxing, Star pugilist Nikhat Zareen, Lovlina Borgohain, Saweety Boora and Nitu Ghanghas have entered the finals in the Women's World Boxing Championships being held  in New Delhi, assuring India of  four Silver medals at least.

Nikhat overpowered Colombia's Ingrid Valencia to reach the final of the 50kg category, Lovlina Borgohain, in the 75kg category, defeated China's Li Qian in the Semi-Final, Nitu Ghanghas also advanced to the final after beating Kazhakhstan's Alua Balkibekova and Saweety Boora defeated Sue Greentree of Australia in the 81 kg event.

National Statistical Office (Field Operation Division), Regional Office, Ministry of Statistics' Programme Implementation, Government of India, Chennai in collaboration with Department of Statistics, University of Madras, Chennai organized quiz programme for college students on 23 March, 2023 with the objective of increasing awareness related to statistics and underlining the importance of statistics in policy making and planning. The quiz programme was organized at Conference Hall, ‘A’ wing, Shastri Bhawan, Nungambakkam, Chennai. The participants were mainly from colleges affiliated to University of Madras and Deemed universities in and around Chennai. Officers from NSO(FOD) and faculties of The Department of Statistics, Madras University actively participated in the event.

Chennai Air Customs officers intercepted one male passenger who arrived from Dubai via Emirates Flight No. EK-546. On examination, three bundles of gold in rubbery paste form were found concealed in his body which yielded one gold ingot of 24K purity weighing 1070 grams, totally valued at ₹54.98 Lakhs was recovered and seized under the Customs Act, 1962. Passenger was arrested and later released on bail. Further investigation is under progress.

The Bengaluru based Air Force Technical College and Indian Institute of Science have signed a Memorandum of Understanding yesterday to enhance scientific understanding of defence adopted technologies and undertake research and development activities in mutually beneficial areas. The Technical college functions under the Indian Air Force. The MoU will promote academic cooperation and research in defence related areas. Air Commodore Ratnesh Gupta from the Technical College and Captain Sridhar Warrier from the Scientific institute signed the MoU in Bengaluru today. The agreement will also work on finding solutions to the problem statements of IAF and facilitate Trainee Officers of the college to access libraries in IISc. Aerospace Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Radar and Microwave, Guided Weapon, Drone Technologies, computer science and cyber security, mechanical engineering, electronics and communication engineering and Electoral Engineering are the areas in which the two organisations have decided to work together.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced immediate release of 228 crore 25 lakh rupees towards compensation to the farmers who were affected by crop loss due to the recent unseasonal rains and hailstorm in different parts of the state. He visited some of the rain-ravaged areas in Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal and Karimnagar districts where he interacted with the farmers. He announced an amount of 10 thousand rupees relief per acre towards immediate relief to the farmers for their damaged crops. Stating that standing crops in about 2.28 lakh acres were damaged due to unseasonal rains and hailstorm, the chief minister told the media in Khammam district that there was a huge damage to maize alone in about 1.29 lakh acres. Similarly paddy in over 72 thousand acres, mango in over 8 thousand acres and other crops in about 17 thousand acres were damaged due to unseasonal rains.

संघ लोक सेवा आयोग द्वारा आयोजित प्रधानाचार्य परीक्षा में चयनित हुए तीन सौ 34 शिक्षकों में से दिल्‍ली के सरकारी स्‍कूलों के सौ शिक्षकों ने सफलता प्राप्‍त की है। पुरूष और महिला श्रेणी में प्रथम, द्वितीय और तृतीय स्‍थान पर भी दिल्‍ली के शिक्षक चयनित हुए। शिक्षा मंत्री आतिशी ने कल इन सभी शिक्षकों से दिल्‍ली सचिवालय में भेंट की और उन्‍हें इस अभूतपूर्व सफलता पर बधाई दी।

दिल्ली मेट्रो ने अपनी एयरपोर्ट एक्सप्रेस लाइन पर ट्रेनों की गति को 90 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे से बढ़ाकर सौ किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा कर दिया है। इस लाइन पर ट्रेनों की गति बढ़ने से यात्री अब कम समय में अपने गन्तव्य स्थान तक पहुंच सकेंगे। विशेषतौर पर एयरपोर्ट आने-जाने वाले लोगों को फायदा होगा।

महाराष्ट्र में इस वर्ष एक जनवरी से इन्फ्लूएंजा के 6 सौ नवासी मामले सामने आए हैं। राज्य के स्वास्थ्य विभाग के अनुसार इनमें H1N1 वायरस के 4 सौ 25 मामले और H3N2 वायरस के 264 मामले शामिल हैं।  राज्य में इस वर्ष H1N1 से गस्त तीन मरीज़ और H3N2 वायरस से ग्रस्त एक व्यक्ति की मृत्यु हुई है। राज्य के सभी अस्पतालों को इस बीमारी से निपटने के बारे में पर्याप्त निर्देश दिए गए हैं। स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने कहा है कि कुछ दिनों तक दवा देने और पृथक रखने से इस वायरस का इलाज संभव है।

राज्य सरकार के कर्मचारियों की सेवा पुस्तिकाओं के नष्ट होने या नष्ट होने के जोखिम को रोकने के लिए उन्हें पूरी तरह से डिजिटल बनाया जाएगा। राज्य के वित्त विभाग ने सभी कर्मचारियों की सेवा पुस्तिकाओं के डिजिटलीकरण के लिए चरणबद्ध तरीके से दिशा-निर्देश जारी किए हैं। कहा गया है कि संबंधित कर्मचारी या जिस विभाग में वह कार्यरत है, वह एचआरएमएस पोर्टल के माध्यम से फिजिकल सर्विस बुक को ई-सर्विस बुक में बदल सकता है। सर्विस बुक को ई-सर्विस बुक में कैसे बदला जाएगा, इसका जिक्र नोटिफिकेशन में किया गया है। इसके लिए एक विशिष्ट कार्य प्रवाह श्रृंखला विकसित की गई है।

हरिभाऊ उपाध्याय (अंग्रेज़ी: Haribhau Upadhyaya ; जन्म- 24 मार्च, 1892, उज्जैन, मध्य प्रदेश; मृत्यु- 25 अगस्त, 1972) भारत के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार तथा राष्ट्रसेवी थे। उनकी हिन्दी साहित्य को विशेष देन उनके द्वारा बहुमूल्य पुस्तकों का रूपांतरण है। कई मौलिक रचनाओं के अतिरिक्त उन्होंने जवाहरलाल नेहरू की 'मेरी कहानी' और पट्टाभि सीतारमैया द्वारा लिखित 'कांग्रेस का इतिहास' का हिन्दी में अनुवाद किया। हरिभाऊ जी की अनेक पुस्तकें आज हिन्दी साहित्य जगत को प्राप्त हो चुकी हैं। महात्मा गाँधी से प्रभावित होकर हरिभाऊ उपाध्याय राष्ट्रीय आन्दोलन में कूद पड़े थे। पुरानी अजमेर रियासत में उन्हें कई बार जेल जाना पड़ा। स्वतंत्रता प्राप्ति के बाद वे अजमेर के मुख्यमंत्री निर्वाचित हुए थे।
