Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka today. At around 11:30 AM, Mr Modi will inaugurate India Energy Week (IEW) 2023 at Bengaluru. Being held from 6th to 8th of this month, India Energy Week is aimed to showcase India's rising prowess as an energy transition powerhouse. The event will bring together leaders from the traditional and non-traditional energy industry, governments, and academia to discuss the challenges and opportunities that a responsible energy transition presents. It will see the presence of more than 30 Ministers from across the world. Over 30,000 delegates, 1,000 exhibitors and 500 speakers will gather to discuss the challenges and opportunities of India's energy future. During the programme, Prime Minister will participate in a roundtable interaction with global oil & gas CEOs. He will also launch multiple initiatives in the field of green energy.

भारत की जी-20 अध्यक्षता के तहत वाई-20 एंगेजमेंट ग्रुप की पहली बैठक आज से असम के गुवाहाटी में होगी। शिखर सम्मेलन छात्रों को दुनिया भर के दर्शकों के लिए अपनी राय देने का अवसर प्रदान करेगा।

जी-20 देशों के एक सौ 50 से अधिक युवा प्रतिनिधि बैठकों में भाग लेने के लिए तैयार हैं। बारह हजार से अधिक कॉलेज और विश्वविद्यालय के छात्रों के भी इन आयोजनों में भाग लेने की उम्मीद है। असम में प्रत्येक उच्च शिक्षा संस्थान भी जी-20 समूहों और कामकाज के बारे में स्कूलों को संवेदनशील बनाने के लिए आस-पास के दस स्कूलों में जागरूकता अभियान चलाएगा। वाई-20 स्थापना बैठक के दौरान भविष्य के कार्य, जलवायु परिवर्तन और स्वास्थ्य सहित पांच क्षेत्रों पर चर्चा होगी।

Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Tumakuru Industrial Township. Under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme, development of the Industrial Township spread across 8484 acre in three phases in Tumakuru has been taken up as part of Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor.

National Investigation Agency, NIA has arrested two persons from Motihari, Bihar in the Phulwarisharif Patna case linked to Popular Front of India (PFI). In a statement, NIA said, the arrest were made after conducting raids at eight locations to disrupt a conspiracy hatched by PFI cadres to carry out targeted killing in East Champaran District in Bihar. The two individual accused of arranging weapons and ammunition to carry out the killing. The arms and ammunition had been handed over to a PFI Trainer, Yakoob, who had been conducting Training Sessions for PFI cadres. Earlier, four persons were arrested in this case and several incriminating documents related to PFI were seized.

त्रिपुरा में विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए प्रचार तेज हो गया है। केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री और भारतीय जनता पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेता अमित शाह आज राज्य में दो चुनावी रैलियों को संबोधित करेंगे। तृणमूल कांग्रेस प्रमुख और पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी सहित अन्य नेता भी प्रचार के लिए त्रिपुरा पहुंच रहे हैं। राजनीतिक दल घोषणापत्र और वायदों के जरिए मतदाताओं को लुभाने के  हरसंभव प्रयास कर रहे हैं। कांग्रेस ने सत्ता में आने पर किसानों को 150 यूनिट मुफ्त बिजली देने और धान की खरीद में न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य में वृद्धि करने का वादा किया है।

The Chennai city police are to install 200 more automatic number plate recognition cameras at 50 different locations in the city to detect traffic violations and track stolen vehicles. The automatic cameras detect traffic offences such as jumping of signals, use of mobile phones and stop line violations, at 16 locations and the city police are now in the process of expanding their coverage under the traffic regulation observation zone projects.

In Chennai, the T-Nagar skywalk project is to be inaugurated by the end of February. City Corporation Chief Engineer S.Rajendiran said the only pending work is the lift construction and it will be over in a week. The Chief Engineer said that they are planning to provide wheelchair facilities for people with disabilities. They can use the lift and then go on the sky walk. More than 30 thousand people use the Mambalam railway station daily and thousands walk to the T-Nagar area for shopping. This bridge is 600 metres long and four metres wide.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate to the nation a helicopter manufacturing plant of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, HAL in Tumkuru today. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh and senior officials of the Ministry of Defence will be present on this occasion. The Greenfield Helicopter factory, spread across 615 acres, will manufacture the Light Utility Helicopters. It has Heli-runway, flight hangar, final assembly hangar, structure assembly hangar, air traffic control and support services. It complies fully with Industry 4.0 standard tools and techniques for its operations. Symbolic of Atmanirbhar Bharat,  this plant is to become India’s largest helicopter manufacturing facility offering one stop solutions for helicopter repair and maintenance in the days to come. The Light Utility helicopter designed in India is a three ton class, single engine, multipurpose utility helicopter with unique features. The HAL plant in Tumkuru will initially manufacture 30 helicopters per annum, which will be enhanced to 60 and 90 helicopters in a phased manner.

Hyderabad e-Mobility Week got off to a flying start with ‘Rall-E’ in Hyderabad yesterday. Rall-E is considered to be India’s largest electric vehicle (EV) rally. The first-of-its-kind EV rally with an aim of showcasing Telangana’s progress in EV adoption and promoting the message of sustainable mobility, the EV rally saw thousands of EV enthusiasts riding their electric 2- wheelers, 3-wheelers, and electric buses through different parts of the city.  

A special stunt show was the highlight of the rally as it was organised to spread the message of sustainable mobility and showcase their excitement towards the E-Mobility week. The rally also saw participation from various Government organizations and industry partners including, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation among others.

The Telangana State Cabinet has discussed and approved the State Annual Budget for 2023-24. The meeting chaired by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad yesterday. Finance Minister T Harish Rao will present the annual budget in the Assembly at 10.30 am this morning. The Assembly session began three days ago with Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan's address to the joint session of Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council.

दिल्‍ली नगर निेगम-एमसीडी में आज मेयर, डिप्‍टी मेयर और स्‍टैंडिंग कमेटी के छह सदस्‍यों का चुनाव होगा। इससे पहले एमसीडी के मेयर, डिप्टी मेयर का चुनाव दो बार हंगामे के कारण रद्द किया जा चुका है। निगम के मेयर पद के लिए आप आदमी पार्टी-आप ने शैली ओबेरॉय को मैदान में उतारा है, जबकि भारतीय जनता पार्टी-भाजपा की ओर से रेखा गुप्ता मैदान में हैं। वहीं, डिप्टी मेयर के लिए आप ने मोहम्मद इकबाल और भाजपा  ने कमल बागड़ी को उम्मीदवार बनाया है। दिल्‍ली नगर निगम की दो सौ 50 सीटों के लिए चुनाव चार दिसंबर को हुआ था, जिसमें आम आदमी पार्टी एक सौ 34, भारतीय जनता पार्टी एक सौ चार, कांग्रेस 9 और निर्दलीय तीन सीटों पर विजयी हुए थे।

दिल्ली नगर निगम के मध्य क्षेत्र ने स्वच्छता और प्लास्टिक मुक्त दिल्ली के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाने के उद्देश्य से कल साइकिल रैली का आयोजन किया। इस साइकिल रैली का आयोजन डेनमार्क के दूतावास के साथ मिलकर किया गया। डेनमार्क के राजदूत फ्रेडी स्वाने ने साइकिल रैली को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। साइकिल रैली डेनमार्क के दूतावास से आरंभ होकर सत्‍यमार्ग, मुद्रिका मार्ग और साउथ कैंपस होते मूलचंद पुल पर समाप्त हुई। साइकिल रैली में मध्य क्षेत्र के उपायुक्त अमित शर्मा, कंफेडरेशन ऑफ इंडियन साइकिलिस्ट के अध्यक्ष रतन रंजन सहित निगम के अधिकारीगण, एक सौ 50 साइकिल सवार और आरडब्ल्यूए के सदस्यों और आम जनता ने भाग लिया। इस अवसर पर श्री स्वाने ने सभी प्रतिभागियों को स्वच्छता और सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक का उपयोग न करने की शपथ दिलाई।

दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय अपना शताब्‍दी वर्ष मना रहा है। इसी कड़ी में विश्वविद्यालय ने अपना कुलगीत तैयार किया है। दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के 100 साल के स्वर्णिम इतिहास के साथ कई उपलब्धियां जुड़ी हैं। कुलगीत दिल्‍ली विश्‍वविद्यालय के गौरव को और बढ़ाने का काम करेगा। इस कुलगीत को विश्वविद्यालय के सभी महत्वपूर्ण कार्यक्रमों में गाया जाएगा।

महाराष्ट्र के राज्यपाल भगत सिंह कोश्यारी ने कल को राजभवन मुंबई में एक कार्यक्रम में रायगढ़ जिले की 400 कुशल महिला उद्यमियों को सम्मानित किया। जन शिक्षण संस्थान, रायगढ़ की ओर से इस समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर राज्यपाल कोश्यारी ने रायगढ़ जिले की 36000 अर्ध साक्षर महिलाओं और महिला किसानों को कौशल आधारित प्रशिक्षण प्रदान करने के लिए जन शिक्षण संस्थान की सराहना की।

गुरबख्श सिंह ढिल्लों जन्म- 18 मार्च, 1914; मृत्यु- 6 फ़रवरी, 2006) आज़ाद हिन्द फ़ौज के अधिकारी थे। इन्हें सिंगापुर में युद्धबंदी बना लिया गया था। बाद में ब्रिटिश सेना ने उन पर कोर्ट मार्शल की कार्यवाई की थी।

राय बहादुर सर उपेन्द्रनाथ ब्रह्मचारी (अंग्रेज़ी: Rai Bahadur Sir Upendranath Brahmachari, जन्म- 19 दिसंबर, 1873; मृत्यु- 6 फ़रवरी, 1946) भारत के एक वैज्ञानिक एवं अपने समय के अग्रगण्य चिकित्सक थे। सन 1922 में उन्होंने यूरिया स्टिबेमाइन (कार्बोस्टिबेमाइन) का संश्लेषण किया और यह निर्धारित किया कि यह कालाजार के उपचार के लिए एक बेहतरीन दवा है।

डॉ. आत्माराम (अंग्रेज़ी: Dr. Atmaram, जन्म- 12 अक्टूबर, 1908, बिजनौर, उत्तर प्रदेश; मृत्यु- 6 फ़रवरी, 1983) अर्थपरक वैज्ञानिक प्रौद्योगिकी के पक्षधर एक भारतीय वैज्ञानिक थे, जिनका चश्मे के काँच के निर्माण में सराहनीय योगदान रहा था। इनकी स्मृति में 'केन्द्रीय हिन्दी संस्थान' द्वारा 'आत्माराम पुरस्कार' दिया जाता है। आत्माराम जी विज्ञान की शिक्षा अपनी भाषा में देने पर जोर देते थे। उनके जीवन में इतनी सादगी थी कि लोग सम्मान के साथ उन्हें गांधीवादी विज्ञानी कहा करते थे।

खान अब्‍दुल गफ्फार  

आज महान राजनेता और स्‍वाधीनता सैनानी खान अब्‍दुल गफ्फार की जयंती है। महात्‍मा गांधी के अनुयायी होने के कारण ही उन्‍हें सीमांत गांधी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। अहिंसक आंदोलन के समर्थक सीमांत गांधी ने पख्‍तूनो को राजनीतिक रूप से जागरूक करने का प्रयास किया। स्‍वीधनता आंदोलन के दौरान वह कई बार जेल गए और यातनाएं सही। वर्ष 1987 में उन्‍हें भारत के सर्वोच्‍च नागरिक सम्‍मान भारत रत्‍न सम्‍मानित किया गया।

भूपिंदर सिंह (अंग्रेज़ी: Bhupinder Singh, जन्म- 6 फ़रवरी, 1940; मृत्यु- 18 जुलाई, 2022) भारतीय सिनेमा के ख्याति प्राप्त पार्श्वगायक और ग़ज़ल गायक थे। उनके गाये हुए प्रसिद्ध गीतों में 'मेरा रंग दे बसंती चोला', 'नाम गुम जाएगा', 'प्यार हमें किस मोड़ पे', 'हुजूर इस कदर' आदि शामिल है। फ़िल्म 'मौसम' के गीत 'दिल ढूंढता है फिर वही, फुरसत के रात दिन' के गायक भूपिंदर सिंह ने संगीत की दुनिया में अपनी सत्ता लगातार बनाए रखी। अपनी जवारीदार गंभीर आवाज़़ से मखमली एहसास पैदा करने वाले महान गायक भूपिंदर सिंह का जादू हमेशा सिर चढ़ कर बोलता था।

कवि प्रदीप आज जयंती है हिन्‍दी साहित्‍य जगत और फिल्‍म जगत के सुदृढ़ रचनाकार और कवि प्रदीप की। 1915 में आज ही के दिन मध्‍यप्रदेश के उज्‍जैन में इनका जन्‍म हुआ था। इनका मूल नाम राम चन्‍द्र नारायण जी द्ववेदी। कवि प्रदीप ए मेरे वतन के लोगों जैसे देश भक्ति गीत के लिए जाने जाते हैं। 1962 में भारत-चीन युद्ध के दौरान शहीद हुए सैनिकों को श्रद्धांजलि स्‍वरूप यह गीत लिखा था। स्‍वर साम्राज्ञी लता मंगेशकर ने इस गीत को अपनी कर्ण प्रिय आवाज दी थी। यूं तो कवि प्रदीप ने प्रेम के हर रूप और हर रस को शब्‍दों में उतारा लेकिन वीर रस और देश भक्ति के उनके गीतों की बात ही कुछ अनोखी थी।
