प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज नई दिल्ली के तालकटोरा स्टेडियम में परीक्षा पे चर्चा कार्यक्रम में विद्यार्थियों से संवाद करेंगे। इस कार्यक्रम में देशभर के करीब 102 छात्र-छात्राएं शामिल हो रहे हैं। 2018 से हर वर्ष आयोजित होने वाले कार्यक्रम - परीक्षा पे चर्चा का यह छठा संस्करण है। कार्यक्रम के दौरान प्रधानमंत्री विद्यार्थियों के माता-पिता और शिक्षकों से भी बातचीत करेंगे जिससे विद्यार्थियों को उनके सपनों और लक्ष्यों को पूरा करने में मदद मिलेगी। इस वर्ष 38 लाख से अधिक विद्यार्थियों ने परीक्षा पे चर्चा के लिए पंजीकरण कराया है जो पिछले वर्ष की तुलना में 50 प्रतिशत अधिक है। शिक्षा मंत्रालय को विद्यार्थियों की ओर से तनाव प्रबंधन, स्वास्थ्य तथा करियर पर आधारित इस बार 20 लाख से अधिक प्रश्न प्राप्त हुए हैं।

In Uttarakhand, lots of enthusiasm is seen among the students to participate in Prime minister's Pariksha pe charcha programme. In this programme, Mr Modi will intract with students parents and teachers and advise them how to be stress free during the board exams.

Uttrakhand education department has made elaborate arrangements to telecast this program live in its 5,464 schools across the state. More than 10 lakh students will participate in it.

During this, MPs, MLAs, District Panchayat Presidents, Mayors, Block Heads, Presidents of Municipal Bodies, and other public representatives will visit different schools.

For this program's wider publicity, a painting competition, Kala Utsav was organized across the states from  20 to 24 January. A large number of students participated in this competition. Different themes were set for the students, teachers, and parents in the painting competition. Students with full enthusiasm displayed their talent.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) festival will begin today in Mumbai with the world premiere of Tamil film "Appatha". The film is directed by Padma awardee and National Award winning filmmaker Priyadarshan. A total of 57 Films from SCO countries will be showcased during the 5-day event. While 14 feature films will be screened in the Competition Section, the Non-Competition section will showcase 43 films. The SCO Film Festival is being organized to mark India’s Presidency at SCO.

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said, India’s goal of organising the festival is to showcase the diversity of films and various styles of film making from from the SCO region. Mr Thakur said, we also aim to build cinematic partnerships, have exchange of programmes, nurture young filmmaking talent and act as a bridge between the cultures of this unique region.

The SCO Film Festival is being organized by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in association with the SCO Council of Heads of States.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky calls for more Western weapons after latest missile strikes targeting Kyiv and other cities across the country. Zelensky told Ukrainians in his nightly address on Thursday that aggression can and should be stopped only with adequate weapons. Weapons can protect our skies, he said. Ukraine said it was able to shoot down most of the 55 missiles fired by Russia, a feat Zelensky attributed to Western-donated air defense systems. Zelensky has shifted focus to the eastern Donbas region, where fighting remains the fiercest. Ukrainian troops are suffering heavy attrition in the east.

बांग्लादेश के विदेश मंत्री डॉ एके अब्दुल मोमेन ने कहा कि बांग्लादेश और भारत के बीच व्यापार तेजी से बढ़ रहा है साथ ही अभी इसके और बढ़ने की संभावना है। गुरुवार को ढाका में भारत के 74वें गणतंत्र दिवस के अवसर पर आयोजित समारोह में बोलते हुए, डॉ मोमेन ने कहा कि बांग्लादेश दक्षिण एशिया में भारत का सबसे बड़ा व्यापारिक भागीदार है। भारत बांग्लादेश का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा व्यापारिक साझेदार है। उन्होंने बताया कि पिछले एक दशक में दोनों देशों के बीच कुल व्यापार में तीन गुना वृद्धि हुई है। दोनों देशों के बीच व्यापार संबंधों को और विस्तार देने के लिए नई पहलों के बारे में बात करते हुए, डॉ मोमेन ने कहा कि वस्तुओं की आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करने के लिए बांग्लादेश भारत के साथ काम कर रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि बांग्लादेश और भारत एक दूसरे की अर्थव्यवस्था के पूरक हैं। भारत में बांग्लादेश से चिकित्सा पर्यटकों सहित सबसे अधिक संख्या में विदेशी पर्यटक आते हैं। हजारों भारतीय बांग्लादेश में सेवा क्षेत्र में काम कर रहे हैं और बांग्लादेश की अर्थव्यवस्था में भी मदद कर रहे हैं। विदेश मंत्री ने कहा कि बांग्लादेश एक शांतिप्रिय देश है और हमने भारत के उत्तर-पूर्व में शांति और स्थिरता बनाए रखने में मदद की है। जी-20 अध्यक्षता के दौरान अतिथि देश के रूप में बांग्लादेश को आमंत्रित करने के लिए भारत को धन्यवाद देते हुए, डॉ मोमन ने कहा कि यह बांग्लादेश को दुनिया भर में अपने विकास भागीदारों के साथ जुड़ने का अवसर देगा।

The sleeper version of the Vande Bharat Express Train, which will be introduced soon, is being designed and developed at the Integral Coach Factory. According to the factory's General Manager ICF B G Mallya stated that the sleeper version will have world-class amenities and would provide enhanced comfort to the travelling public in his remarks following the raising of the National Flag on the 74th Republic Day. In this fiscal year, the corporation released more than 2000 coaches. He declared that this was the highest productivity year ever. The factory has been given the task of producing new and unique types of coaches in a short amount of time, including the Mahametro coaches, the self-propelled heritage train, the Gatishakti freight train, and the Vistadome restaurant car.

Patriotic fervour flavoured the 74th Republic Day celebrations in Karnataka yesterday. In his Republic day address, the Governor Thawarchand Gehlot outlined the progress achieved by the State Government. He expressed satisfaction over the implementation of 14 Amrit Mahotsav programmes introduced on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. On the progress achieved in the implementation of Jal Jeevan mission, the Governor informed that at the end of 2022, functional tap connections were given to 13.35 lakh households at the cost of over 2314 crore rupees. Over 483 crore rupees have been given to the children of farmers under the Raita Vidya Nidhi scheme to help them further their education. 32.32 lakh members have registered under the Yeshsvini health scheme as of this month's 17th to receive a free health checkup. At a cost of 2098 crore rupees, 1.57 lakh dwellings under various programmes have been constructed in the housing industry. He continued by saying that title deeds were given to 1.14 lakh slum-dwelling families in a historic decision.

Mass direct recruitments in the departments of the State government will continue this year as well, with the Telangana Residential Educational Institutions Recruitment Board (TREI-RB) gearing up to announce nearly 11,000 posts by February 10. While the Board is prepared to notify 8,710 vacancies via various notifications, it also anticipates the addition of 2,000 more vacancies to the current ones so that all postings can be notified at once. Degree lecturers, junior lecturers, school principals, postgraduate teachers, and trained graduate instructors are among the positions in Telangana's residential educational institutions for social welfare, tribal welfare, BC welfare, and minorities welfare that need to be advertised. Aside from librarians, the Board is lined up to notice positions for teachers of art, music, and crafts. The Board is finalising the question paper format and syllabus for the various recruitment examinations, according to official sources. It has created plans to finish the hiring process and secure new employees for the relevant educational institutions before the start of the academic year 2023–2024.

प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष चौधरी अनिल कुमार ने दिल्ली नगर निगम के महापौर और उप-महापौर पद के चुनाव स्थगित होने पर आम आदमी पार्टी और भारतीय जनता पार्टी की आलोचना की है। उन्होंने कहा है कि निगम की दोनों बैठकों में आम आदमी पार्टी और भाजपा के पार्षदों की मिली भगत से हंगामा हुआ, जिसके बाद चुनाव प्रक्रिया को रद्द करना पड़ा। चौधरी अनिल कुमार ने आम आदमी पार्टी पर आरोप लगाया है कि चुनाव रद्द होने के बाद आप पार्टी ने जनता को गुमराह करने के लिए सुप्रीम कोर्ट का रुख किया है, जो पूरी तरह से राजनीतिक स्टंट है। उन्होंने कहा कि दो बैठकों में महापौर और उप-महापौर का चुनाव संपन्न नहीं हो सका, इसके लिए आम आदमी पार्टी और भाजपा ज़िम्मेदार है।

मुंबई के कई इलाकों में मरम्मत कार्य के चलते 30 जनवरी सुबह 10 बजे से 31 जनवरी सुबह 10 बजे के बीच आधे शहर में पानी की आपूर्ति प्रभावित होगी। दादर में इसी दिन 25 फीसदी कम पानी मिलेगा। 29 जनवरी से 4 फरवरी तक लो प्रेशर से जलापूर्ति होगी। पश्चिमी उपनगर के नौ वार्डों में जलापूर्ति पूरी तरह ठप रहेगी। पूर्वी उपनगरों में पानी की आपूर्ति पूरी तरह से नहीं होगी। माहिम पश्चिम, दादर पश्चिम, प्रभादेवी और माटुंगा पश्चिम में भी पानी की आपूर्ति में 25 प्रतिशत की कमी होगी। धारावी इलाके में जहां शाम 4 बजे से रात 9 बजे के बीच पानी की आपूर्ति की जाती है, 30 जनवरी को जलापूर्ति पूरी तरह ठप रहेगी।

पुण्यतिथियों में अब बात भारत के आठवें राष्ट्रपति आर. वेंकटरमण अथवा रामास्वामी वेंकटरमण की जिनका निधन 27 जनवरी, 2009 को नई दिल्ली में हुआ था। यह 77 वर्ष की उम्र में राष्ट्रपति बने। उन्होंने 25 जुलाई, 1987 को राष्ट्रपति पद की शपथ ली। यह एक संयोग था कि 35 वर्ष पूर्व जब देश के प्रथम राष्ट्रपति राजेन्द्र प्रसाद ने शपथ ग्रहण की थी, तब श्री वेंकटरमण भी राष्ट्रपति भवन के उसी कक्ष में मौजूद थे। उस समय किसने सोचा था कि 35 वर्ष बाद इस इतिहास को दोहराने वाला व्यक्ति भी उस घड़ी वहीं मौजूद है। वेंकटरमण को कई विश्वविद्यालयों ने अकादमी पुरस्कार भी प्रदान किए। स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में योगदान के लिए इन्हें ताम्रपत्र देकर भी सम्मानित किया गया। समाजवादी देशों की यात्रा का वृत्तान्त लिखने के लिए इन्हें 'सोवियत लैंड पुरस्कार' दिया गया

20वीं सदी के प्रमुख सितार वादकों में एक पंडिल निखिल रंजन बैनर्जी का भी आइए स्‍मरण करते हैं जिनका आज ही के दिन निधन हुआ था 1986 में। निखिल बैनर्जी का जन्म 14 अक्टूबर, 1931 में पश्चिम बंगाल राज्य के एक ब्राह्मण घराने में हुआ था। निखिल रंजन बैनर्जी को सितार बजाना इनके पिता जितेन्द्रनाथ बैनर्जी ने सिखाया। सितार बजाने की उनमें बचपन से ही विलक्षण प्रतिभा थी। शुरुआती प्रशिक्षण के लिए जितेन्द्रनाथ के अनुरोध पर मुश्ताक़ अली ख़ाँ ने निखिल बैनर्जी को अपना शिष्य बनाया। निखिल रंजन बैनर्जी को 1987 में भारत सरकार ने कला के क्षेत्र में पद्म भूषण, 1968 में पद्म श्री और 1974 में संगीत नाटक अकादमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया था।

हिन्दी सिनेमा के प्रसिद्ध अभिनेता भारत भूषण की आज जयंती है। अपने अभिनय के रंगों से कालिदास, तानसेन, कबीर और मिर्ज़ा ग़ालिब जैसे ऐतिहासिक चरित्रों को नया रूप देने वाले अभिनेता भारत भूषण की आखिरी फिल्‍म थी 1967 में प्रदर्शित 'तकदीर नायक'। उसके बाद उनका जीवन मुश्किलों के दौर से गुजरता रहा। हालात की मार से वह बुरी तरह से टूट चुके और हिंदी फ़िल्मों के स्वर्णिम युग के इस अभिनेता ने आखिरकार 27 जनवरी 1992 को 72 वर्ष की उम्र में इस दुनिया को अलविदा कह दिया। 'बैजू बावरा', 'मिर्ज़ा ग़ालिब', 'बसंत बहार', 'फागुन', 'रानी रूपमती' आदि इनके द्वारा अभिनीत कुछ प्रमुख फिल्‍में थीं।

हामिद अली ख़ान और जो भारतीय हिन्दी सिनेमा के प्रसिद्ध अभिनेता थे। उन्होंने हिन्दी सिनेमा में एक खलनायक के रूप में प्रसिद्धि पाई। अजीत के पसंद के किरदार की बात की जाये तो उन्होंने सबसे पहले अपना मनपसंद और कभी भुलाया नहीं जा सकने वाला किरदार निर्माता-निर्देशक सुभाष घई की 1976 में प्रदशित फ़िल्म 'कालीचरण' में निभाया। फ़िल्म 'कालीचरण' में उनका निभाया किरदार 'लॉयन' उनके नाम का पर्याय ही बन गया था। जिसमें वो कहते नजर आते थे कि 'सारा शहर मुझे लॉयन के नाम से जानता है', 'लिली डोंट बी सिली' और 'मोना डार्लिंग'। कालीचरण', 'मुग़ल-ए-आज़म', 'जंजीर', 'यादों की बारात', 'समझौता', 'कहानी किस्मत की', 'जुगनू', 'शिकारी', 'हिमालय की गोद में' और 'सूरज', आदि।

आज हिन्‍दी सिनेमा के युवा अभिनेता श्रेयस तलपड़े का जन्म दिन है। श्रेयस का जनम 27 जनवरी 1976 को मुंबई, भारत में हुआ था। श्रेयस ने श्री राम वेलफेयर सोसाइटी हाई स्कूल से पढ़ाई की और मिठीबाई कॉलेज से अपनी ग्रेजुएशन डिग्री प्राप्त की। ओम शाँति ओमए ग्रेट ग्रैंड मस्ती सहित कई फिल्‍मों में उनके अभिनय को सराहा गया।
