वैसे आज  (National Girl Child Day) यानि की राष्ट्रीय बालिका दिवस है जो हर वर्ष 24 जनवरी को मनाया जाता है। 24 जनवरी के दिन इंदिरा गांधी को नारी शक्ति के रूप में याद किया जाता है। इस दिन इंदिरा गांधी पहली बार प्रधानमंत्री की कुर्सी पर बैठी थी इसलिए इस दिन को राष्ट्रीय बालिका दिवस के रूप में मनाने का निर्णय लिया गया है। यह निर्णय राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर लिया गया है। आज की बालिका जीवन के प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में आगे बढ़ रही है चाहे वो क्षेत्र खेल हो या राजनीति, घर हो या उद्योग। राष्ट्रमण्डल खेलों के गोल्ड मैडल हो या मुख्यमंत्री और राष्ट्रपति के पद पर आसीन होकर देश सेवा करने का काम हो सभी क्षेत्रों में लड़कियाँ समान रूप से भागीदारी ले रही है।इस दिवस तो मनाने का मुख्य उद्देश्य बालिकाओं को घरेलू हिंसा, बाल विवाह व दहेज जैसी चीज़ों के बारे में सचेत करना है। किशोरियों व बालिकाओं के कल्याण के लिए सरकार ने कई योजनाएँ चलाई हुई हैं। इन सबका उद्देश्य लड़कियों, ख़ासकर किशोरियों को सशक्त बनाना है ताकि वे आगे चलकर एक बेहतर समाज के निर्माण में योगदान दे सकें।

In Gujarat, the first B20 meet being organized as part of the G20 will conclude today. More than 500 delegates deliberated upon various global issues including climate change, sustainability, digital transformation and financial inclusion during several plenary sessions held yesterday at Gandhinagar. Our correspondent reports that on the last day, G20 representatives will visit GIFT city and other tourist places.

उत्तर प्रदेश आज अपना स्थापना दिवस मना रहा है। 2018 से स्थापना दिवस कार्यक्रम तीन दिन तक मनाया जाता है और इसमें सभी सरकारी विभागों की भागीदारी होती है। इस दौरान 26 जनवरी तक राज्य भर में कई तरह के कार्यक्रम होते हैं। इस वर्ष उत्तर प्रदेश दिवस निवेश और रोजगार के मुख्य विषय पर केन्द्रित है। प्रदेश के मुख्य सचिव दुर्गा शंकर मिश्र ने कहा है कि उत्तर प्रदेश दिवस के राज्य स्तरीय कार्यक्रम लखनऊ के अवध शिल्प ग्राम और नोएडा के नोएडा शिल्प ग्राम में होंगे, जबकि जिला मुख्यालयों में भी जिला स्तर पर आयोजन होंगे। इस दौरान निवेश और रोजगार पर केन्द्रित संगोष्ठियां होंगी, साथ ही रोड शो और उद्यमियों के सम्मेलन भी होंगे। निवेश, रोजगार, डिजिटल उत्तर प्रदेश, साइबर सुरक्षा और उन्नत प्राकृतिक कृषि जैसे विषयों पर प्रदर्शनी भी लगाई जाएगी। फोटो और फिल्म ब्रोशर के माध्यम से विभिन्न योजनाओं के लाभार्थियों और जिलों की विशेष प्रतिभाओं की सफलता की कहानियां भी प्रदर्शित की जाएंगी। इस अवसर पर सभी कार्यक्रम स्थलों पर उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य के गठन से लेकर अभी तक प्रदेश की विकास यात्रा से संबंधित प्रदर्शनी का भी आयोजन किया जाएगा। उत्तर प्रदेश दिवस मनाने की पहल पूर्व राज्यपाल राम नाईक ने की थी। राज्य में योगी आदित्य नाथ के नेतृत्व में भाजपा सरकार के गठन के बाद 2018 से यह कार्यक्रम प्रतिवर्ष मनाया जाता है।  पहले  उत्तर प्रदेश को संयुक्त प्रांत के नाम से जाना जाता था। 24 जनवरी 1950 को इस राज्य को उत्तर प्रदेश के रूप में पहचान मिली।

President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, will arrive in New Delhi today on a three-day visit to India. President Sisi will be the Chief Guest on India’s 74th Republic Day. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including five Ministers and senior officials. This is for the first time that President of Egypt has been invited as Chief Guest on  Republic Day. A military contingent from Egyptian Army will also participate in the Republic Day parade.

The Egyptian President previously visited India in October 2015 to participate in the third India Africa Forum Summit and in September 2016 on a State Visit. India and Egypt are celebrating 75 years of establishment of diplomatic relations this year. Egypt has also been invited as a ‘Guest Country’ during India’s Presidency of G-20 in 2022-23. President Sisi will be accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Droupadi Murmu will host a State Banquet in honour of the visiting dignitary in the evening. The visiting dignitary will have a bilateral meeting and delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will call on President Sisi. The visiting dignitary will also interact with Indian Business community at a business event during his visit.

Indian Met Department has predicted widespread rainfall in North West India during the next three days. It said there is possibility of enhanced rainfall and snowfall activity over Western Himalaya region and rainfall activity over plains of North West India mainly during 25th and 26th January. Due to western disturbance, isolated heavy rainfall or snowfall is likely over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad-Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand tomorrow and today. Very light rainfall has been predicted for Delhi from today till 26th January. Isolated hailstorm is likely over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh over the next couple of days.

Uttarakhand Tourism and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj has said that all tourist places in the state are safe except Joshimath. Talking to the media in Dehradun, he said the government is making all possible efforts to deal with the situation in Joshimath. He said the upcoming Char Dham Yatra will be smooth.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister's Special Representative Ajendra Ajay held a review meeting of relief works with the officials in Joshimath. He directed all the nodal officers to provide all possible help to the affected people in the camps.

Mr Ajay said that Char dham Yatra and winter tourism are the backbone of the state.

He said the Central and State Governments are providing all possible help to the disaster effected people in Joshimath. State Disaster Management Secretary Ranjit kumar Sinha has said that the work of land leveling and layout planning has been started for the construction of pre-fabricated buildings in Dhak (ढाक) village of Joshimath.

In Cricket, the third and final ODI between India and New Zealand will played at Indore today. The match will be played in Holkar Cricket Stadium from 1.30 p.m. India will look to clean sweep the series, having already won two ODIs.

India secured a comprehensive eight wicket win in the second ODI in Raipur on Saturday to clinch their seventh consecutive ODI series at home. The hosts won the first one-dayer by 12 runs in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Next, the two teams will play three Twenty20 matches. The first match will be played on the 27th January at Ranchi.

Greater Chennai Corporation will now impose a penalty of 100 rupees on individuals who fail to hand in sanitary napkins and diapers separately in packed wrappings. Chief Engineer for solid waste management department N.Mahesan said that people have not been segregating their sanitary waste which poses a health risk to workers who also find it hard to segregate the waste in resource recovery centres and send it for incineration. The Corporation will also organise campaigns to raise awareness about sanitary waste segregation and deliver it separately. In order to process the waste, the Corporation also intends to build more incinerator facilities in the city dump yards. The area where the waste is completely dumped has many bins installed there...

Karnataka Government Development Commissioner I S N Prasad released the State Focus Paper 2023-24 of NABARD in Bengaluru yesterday. The Focus paper projects a credit potential of 3.59 lakh crore rupees for the priority sector lending in rural areas of the state. This projection is eight percent higher than the previous year. During 2023-24 NABARD is projected to release 1.79 lakh crore rupees to the Agriculture sector, 1.35 lakh crore rupees for the MSME sector and 0.45 lakh crore rupees to other priority sectors. Speaking on the occasion, the Development Commissioner I S N Prasad said that the digital interventions like BHOOMI, KAVERI and FRUITS have helped smooth credit flow in the rural areas.

Telangana Industries Minister K Tarakarama Rao has said the launch of Amazon Air was a great moment in the Indian e-commerce industry and assured all support to it. Speaking after formally launching Amazon Air at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, the Minister said it will strengthen Amazon’s distribution network and enable faster delivery to customers. According to him, this is the first time that Amazon Air is being introduced outside of North America and Europe, and Hyderabad, India, will serve as the venue for the event.

राजधानी में प्रदूषण की समस्या को दूर करने के लिए दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल विनय कुमार सक्सेना ने कल स्प्रिंकलर, जेटिंग सिस्टम, एंटी-स्मॉग गन और पानी के टैंकर से युक्त तेरह बहुउद्देशीय वाहन को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। उपराज्यपाल ने इन सभी वाहनों का शुभारंभ सिविल लाइंस स्थित नगर निगम कार्यालय से किया। इस अवसर पर श्री सक्सेना ने कहा कि यह वाहन दिल्ली में वायु प्रदूषण को कम करने के साथ-साथ फुटपाथ और सड़क को साफ करने में अहम भूमिका निभायेंगे। इस अवसर पर निगम के विशेष अधिकारी अश्विनी कुमार, निगम आयुक्त ज्ञानेश भारती और अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।

राजधानी के गांवों में विकास सुनिश्चित करने के लिए दिल्ली ग्राम विकास बोर्ड ने कल एक सौ 75 करोड़ रूपये से अधिक राशि की 136 योजनाओं को मंजूरी दी है। इसके तहत सड़कों, नालियों, जल निकाय, सामुदायिक केंद्र, पार्क, श्मशान घाट, खेल मैदान आदि से जुड़े विकास कार्य किए जाएंगे। इस अवसर पर दिल्ली के विकास मंत्री गोपाल राय ने कहा है कि सरकार गांवों में सड़कों, पार्कों, नालियों और बहुउद्देशीय सामुदायिक केंद्रों की स्थिति में सुधार करने के लिए सभी आवश्यक कदम उठा रही है। दिल्ली ग्राम विकास बोर्ड की बैठक कल विकास मंत्री गोपाल राय की अध्यक्षता में दिल्ली सचिवालय में आयोजित की गई।

तो पुण्यतिथियों में आज सबसे पहला नाम है हिन्दी भाषा और साहित्य के उन्नयन, संवर्धन और संरक्षण के लिए समर्पित चन्द्रबली पाण्डेय की जिनका निधन 24 जनवरी, 1958) को हुआ था! हिंदी साहित्य सम्मेलन के सभापति रहने के अतिरिक्त नागरी प्रचारिणी सभा के भी सभापति रहे। इन्होंने अपना पूरा जीवन अध्ययन और हिंदी प्रचार में लगा दिया।

अब बात भारत के एक प्रमुख वैज्ञानिक होमी जहाँगीर भाभा जिनका निधन 24 जनवरी,1966) में हुआ था और जिन्होंने भारत के परमाणु ऊर्जा कार्यक्रम की कल्पना की थी। जब होमी जहाँगीर भाभा 29 वर्ष के थे और उपलब्धियों से भरे 13 वर्ष इंग्लैंड में बिता चुके थे। उस समय 'कैम्ब्रिज विश्वविद्यालय' भौतिक शास्त्र के क्षेत्र में सर्वश्रेष्ठ स्थान माना जाता था।
