भारत ने दिसम्‍बर महीने के लिए संयुक्‍त राष्‍ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद की अध्‍यक्षता संभाल ली है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद के निर्वाचित सदस्य के रूप में अपने दो साल के कार्यकाल में भारत ने दूसरी बार सुरक्षा परिषद की अध्यक्षता ग्रहण की है। भारत ने पहले अगस्त 2021 में सुरक्षा परिषद की अध्यक्षता संभाली थी। विदेश मंत्रालय के अनुसार, दिसंबर में भारत की संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद की अध्यक्षता के दौरान, 14-15 दिसंबर को दो प्रमुख बैठकें होंगी। ये बैठकें  ''बहुपक्षवाद के नये स्‍वरूप और आतंकवाद-की रोकथाम' के बारे में आयोजित की जाएंगी और इनकी अध्यक्षता विदेश मंत्री डॉ एस जयशंकर करेंगे।

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said that India will try to build consensus on global issues including Ukraine during its G20 Presidency. He said, India's endeavour will be to create consensus through consultation on key global issues. India yesterday formally assumed the Presidency of G20 grouping for a period of one year. To mark the first day of India's presidency, a special event titled 'G20 University Connect - Engaging Young Minds' was organised in New Delhi, which virtually brought together students from 75 universities across the country. Addressing the event, Dr Jaishankar said India will look to emerge as the voice of the global south - comprising Asia, Africa and Latin America - that has had to face the brunt of polarisation and conflict in the developed world.

केंद्र ने एफ एम रेडियो चैनलों से कहा है कि वे अलकोहल, नशीली दवाओं, हथियारों, गैंगस्‍टर और गन-कल्‍चर का महिमामंडन करने वाले गीतों का प्रसारण न करें। सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय के परामर्श में कहा गया है कि ऐसे गीतों और विषयों का प्रसारण आकाशवाणी कार्यक्रम आचार संहिता का उल्‍लंघन है। यह भी कहा गया है कि अनुमति समझौते में प्रावधान है कि आकाशवाणी की तरह एफएम चैनलों को भी कार्यक्रम और विज्ञापन संहिता का पालन करना होगा। परामर्श में कहा गया है कि संहिता के उल्‍लंघन पर अनुमति समझौते के नियमों और शर्तों के अनुसार दंडात्‍मक कार्रवाई की जाएगी। यह भी कहा गया है कि ऐसे विषय बच्‍चों पर दुष्‍प्रभाव डालते हैं और गैंगस्‍टर संस्‍कृति को बढावा देते हैं।

In Gujarat, the campaigning for the second and final phase of polls has reached its peak after the end of first phase of polls. All the top leaders are making all out efforts to woo the voters as campaigning will come to an end tomorrow. A total of 833 candidates are in the fray in the second and final phase in the state. Top BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address rallies  at various places today including in Ahmedabad.

कोविड से बचाव के लिए नाक से दी जाने वाली, भारत में विकसित, दुनिया की पहली वैक्सीन को केन्द्रीय औषधि मानक नियंत्रण संगठन की मंजूरी मिल गई है। इसका इस्तेमान 18 वर्ष और उसके ऊपर आयु के लिए व्‍यक्तियों के लिए आपात स्थिति में किया जा सकता है। केन्द्रीय मंत्री डॉक्टर जितेन्द्र सिंह ने दिल्ली में जैव प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग के अंतर्गत स्वायत्त संस्थानों की समितियों की बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए दी। मंत्री ने बताया कि इस वैक्सीन के लिए उत्पाद विकास और क्लीनिकल परीक्षणों का खर्च कोविड सुरक्षा मिशन के अंतर्गत जैव प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग और जैव प्रौद्योगिकी उद्योग अनुसंधान सहायता परिषद ने वहन किया।

The gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue collection in the last month was over one lakh 45 thousand crore rupees. This is the straight ninth month when the monthly GST revenue collection is more than one lakh 40 thousand crore rupees.

The Finance Ministry said, GST revenue collection in the month of November 2022 has registered a growth of 11 percent in comparison to corresponding month of the last year. It said, more than one lakh 31 thousand crore rupees worth of GST collection were made in November 2021.

The Ministry said, a total of 25 thousand 681 crore rupees was collected as Central Goods and Services Tax and 32 thousand 651 crore rupees as State Goods and Services Tax, SGST in the last month. Over 77 crore rupees was collected as Integrated Goods and Services Tax, IGST and over 10 thousand crore rupees as cess. It said, the Centre had released 17 thousand crore rupees as GST compensation to States and Union Territories in November 2022.

असम के सिलचर में आज से सिलहट महोत्‍सव शुरू हो रहा है। केन्‍द्रीय पर्यटन, संस्‍कृति और पूर्वोत्‍तर क्षेत्र विकास मंत्री जी. किशन रेड्डी और बांग्‍लादेश के विदेश मंत्री डॉ. ए. के. अब्‍दुल मोमेन इसका उद्घाटन करेंगे। असम के मुख्‍यमंत्री हेमंत बिस्‍वा शर्मा, मिजोरम के राज्‍यपाल के हरि बाबू और असम के उद्योग और वाणिज्‍य, सार्वजनिक उद्यम तथा संस्‍कृति मामलों के मंत्री बिमल बोरा के पांच दिन तक चलने वाले इस महोत्‍सव में शामिल होने की उम्‍मीद है। सिलहट महोत्‍सव का आयोजन संस्‍कृति मंत्रालय और इंडिया फाउंडेशन की ओर से संयुक्‍त रूप से किया जा रहा है। बांग्‍लादेश के लगभग 100 प्रतिनिधि इस महोत्‍सव में हिस्‍सा लेंगे।

China’s Vice Premier Sun Chunlan, who is also the senior most official responsible for its Covid response has said that the country is facing a “new situation” in epidemic prevention and control as the lethality of the Omicron virus has weakened. This is seen as a potential hint at shift from Beijing’s “zero-Covid” strategy which has sparked days of nationwide protests and evoked strong support from the UN, the US and other nations. This is for the first time that a senior Chinese official has acknowledged the change in the nature of the virus, in a softening of the rhetoric on country’s strong Covid-19 control measures. In another step towards tackling a major hurdle in reopening, China has announced a vaccination campaign focused on getting the elderly vaccinated. More than 90% of China’s population has received at least two doses of a vaccine, but the rate drops sharply among elderly population, especially those over 80. The national health commission has recently instructed local authorities to build more hospitals that can treat patients with the virus at different degrees of severity, including increasing the intensive care beds. State media reported Several Chinese cities further refine measures of mass COVID testing, lifted lockdowns and allowed businesses to reopen while still reporting new infections.

तीसरे दृष्टिबाधित ट्वेंटी-20 क्रिकेट विश्‍व कप का आयोजन  भारत में पांच से 17 दिसम्‍बर, 2022 के बीच किया जाएगा। इस विश्‍व कप में मेज़बान भारत के अलावा ऑस्‍ट्रेलिया, बांग्‍लादेश, नेपाल, पाकिस्‍तान, दक्षिण अफ्रीका और श्रीलंका की टीम भाग लेगी। विश्‍व कप के मुकाबले भारत के नौ शहरों में आयोजित किए जाएंगे। विश्‍व कप में कुल 24 मैच होंगे जिनमें सात देशों के लगभग 150 खिलाड़ी भाग लेंगे। इस प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन विश्‍व दिव्‍यांगता दिवस के उपलक्ष्‍य पर किया जा रहा है।

In the FIFA World Cup, Germany beat Costa Rica 4-2 at Al-Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar in Group 'E' match, but fail to qualify for the round 16 stage as they lag behind Spain on goal difference. In the other Group 'E' match, Japan beat Spain 2-1 at the Khalifa International Stadium and qualify for the round 16 stage. After both the matches, Japan finished with six points, securing two wins from three matches. Spain and Germany were tied at four points but the former advanced on the basis of a better goal difference. Japan topped the standings and will face Croatia next while Spain, who finished level with Germany on four points, advanced on a goal difference and will play Morocco.

The coastal security conference under the aegis of Colombo security conclave was inaugurated at Chennai.Coast guards from Maldives,Srilanka and Mauritius participated in the two day conference. Bangladesh participates in the conference as an observer. The Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane highlighted the meed to address common issues pertaining to the maritime safety and security countering terrorism, transnational organised crime, cyber security, protection of critical coastal infrastructure and disaster relief. Deputy National Security Advisor Vikram Misri said that Coast Guards have a greater role for enhanced cooperation towards the shared paradigm of safety seas, which has been India's vision of Safety and Growth for all in maritime domain.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai invited manufacturing and R&D centres of the United Kingdom to set up a base in Karnataka. The Chief Minister extended the invite when the British High Commissioner in India, Alex Ellis and the newly appointed Deputy High Commissioner for Karnataka and Kerala, Chandru Iyer paid a courtesy call on him yesterday in Bengaluru. He conveyed to the visiting bureaucrats the benefits of investing in Karnataka. In turn, the British High Commissioner informed that 14 percent of the British companies in India have a base in Karnataka. He further said that the British companies have the strongest presence in Karnataka among the southern states. He also said that a large number of expatriates of Karnataka are contributing to the economy of Britain.

The Telangana State government has issued a clarification on the encashment of the ex-gratia cheques distributed to the kin of farmers who lost their lives during the farmers' agitation. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had distributed 1,010 cheques to next of kin of deceased farmers in Punjab and Haryana. In the wake of reports in a section of the media that the cheques distributed to farmers were not realised, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar in a statement said the matter was enquired into and ascertained that 814 cheques have already been encashed by the families of the deceased farmers.

Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) announced Nine thousand 168 openings for Group-IV posts. Online registration will be available from 23rd December to 12th January next year. The objective-type recruitment test is likely to take place in the months of April and May.

Junior Assistants, Junior Accountants, Junior Auditors, and Ward Officers are among the positions in several departments. Among many departments, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development announced over 2700 vacancies while Revenue over two thousand and Panchayat Raj and Rural Development over 1200.

दिल्ली में नगर निगम चुनाव का प्रचार अंतिम दौर में है। चुनाव प्रचार के लिए अब केवल आज का दिन शेष बचा है। 250 निगम वार्डों के लिए मतदान 4 दिसंबर को होगा और नतीजे 7 दिसंबर को घोषित किये जायेंगे। इस बीच, मतदाताओं को लुभाने के लिए सभी राजनीतिक दल, चुनाव प्रचार में पूरी ताकत झोंक रहे हैं।

केंद्र ने उन मीडिया रिपोर्टों का खंडन किया है जिनमें कहा गया था कि महाराष्ट्र में किसानों को प्रधानमंत्री फसल बीमा योजना के अंतर्गत बीमा की मामूली राशि का भुगतान किया जा रहा है। सरकार ने कहा है कि आंशिक भुगतान के बाद अंतिम निपटान पर किसानों को बकाया धन राशि दी जायेगी।महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने बताया है कि खरीफ 2022 के दौरान हुए नुकसान के मुआवजे के लिए 79 लाख से अधिक आवेदन प्राप्त हुए हैं। राज्य सरकार ने प्रति वर्ष न्यूनतम एक हजार रुपये देने की घोषणा की है।

पश्चिम बंगाल बोर्ड ऑफ प्राइमरी एजुकेशन (WBBPE) ने पश्चिम बंगाल शिक्षक पात्रता परीक्षा (WBTET 2022) का प्रवेश पत्र जारी कर दिया है। जिन उम्मीदवारों ने परीक्षा के लिए आवेदन किया था, वे अपने प्रवेश पत्र डब्ल्यूबीबीपीई की आधिकारिक वेबसाइटों  wbbpe.org, wbbprimaryeducation.org या wbbpeonline.com से डाउनलोड कर सकते हैं। डब्ल्यूबीटीईटी 2022  का आयोजन 11 दिसंबर 2022 को राज्य भर के परीक्षा केंद्रों पर आयोजित की जाएगी। WBTET 2022 परीक्षा की 2.5 घंटे  के लिए होगी। परीक्षा दोपहर 12 बजे से 2:30 बजे तक आयोजित की जाएगी। परीक्षा में एक-एक अंक वाले कुल 150 बहुविकल्पीय प्रश्न (MCQs) होंगे। इसके लिए कोई नकारात्मक अंक नहीं काटे जाएंगे। यह परीक्षा बंगाली और अंग्रेजी में आयोजित की जाएगी।  प्रवेश पत्र डाउनलोड करने के लिए उम्मीदवारों को अपने रजिस्ट्रेशन नंबर और जन्मतिथि के साथ WB TET 2022 आवेदन पोर्टल पर लॉग इन करना होगा।

राष्‍ट्रीय राजधानी दिल्‍ली में धुंध छाई रहने का अनुमान है। न्यूनतम तापमान 8 डिग्री सेल्सियस से 26 डिग्री सेल्सियस के बीच रहने की संभावना है।

मुम्‍बई में दोपहर या शाम को आसमान में आंशिक बादल छाए रहेंगे। न्‍यूनतम तापमान 21 डिग्री सेल्सियस और अधिकतम 35 डिग्री सेल्सियस के आसपास रहने का अनुमान है।

कोलकाता में आमतौर पर आसमान साफ रहेगा। न्‍यूनतम तापमान 17 डिग्री सेल्सियस और अधिकतम 29 डिग्री सेल्सियस के बीच रह सकता है।

Chennai is expected to have partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm. The minimum temperature was 24 degree celcius and maximum will be around 31 degrees.

Bengaluru will have fog/mist in the morning and partly cloudy sky later. The temperature will vary between 18 and 26 degree celcius.

Today is International Day for the Abolition of Slavery happens annually on December 2. On this day in 1949, the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted the Convention for the Suppression of the Traffic in Persons and the Exploitation of the Prostitution of Others. This day is dedicated to ending modern forms of slavery, such as sexual exploitation, human trafficking, the most heinous kinds of child labor, forced marriage, and the forced recruitment of children for use in armed conflict.

⦁ The Bhopal disaster, also referred to as the Bhopal gas tragedy, was a chemical accident on the night of 2–3 December 1984 at the Union Carbide India Limited (UCIL) pesticide plant in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. The industrial disaster is considered the world's worst in history. Over 500,000 people were exposed to methyl isocyanate (MIC) gas. The highly toxic substance made its way into and around the small towns located near the plant.

मुकुन्द रामाराव जयकर प्रसिद्ध शिक्षाशास्त्री, स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, समाजसेवक, न्यायाधीश, विधि विशारद तथा संविधानशास्त्रज्ञ थे। उनका व्यक्तित्व बहुत ही व्यापक था। मुकुन्द रामाराव जयकर के सामाजिक, राजनीतिक, सांस्कृतिक तथा शिक्षा संबंधी कार्यों का मूल्यांकन किए बिना भारत का आधुनिक इतिहास अधूरा रहेगा। इस दृष्टि से उन के भाषणों, पत्रों तथा लेखों का अध्ययन आवश्यक है। सन 1917 के बाद से भारत का ऐसा कोई आंदोलन नहीं था, जिससे मुकुन्द रामाराव जयकर का सम्बंध किसी-न-किसी रूप में न रहा हो।

Today we are paying tribute to Deven Verma a famous comedian of Hindi films in Indian cinema. He won everyone’s heart with his brilliant comedic performances in Hindi films. Deven Verma acted in about 149 films. ‘Golmaal’, ‘Angoor’, ‘Khatta Meetha’, ‘Nastik’, ‘Rang Birangi’ etc. were one of the big films of his career. He also produced and directed a few films including ‘Besharam’. He was also awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Comedian for the films ‘Chori Mera Kaam’, ‘Chor Ke Ghar Chor’ and ‘Angoor’. We are also remembering Charlie Lee Byrd. He was an American jazz guitarist. Byrd was best known for his association with Brazilian music, especially bossa nova. In 1962, he collaborated with Stan Getz on the album Jazz Samba, a recording which brought bossa nova into the mainstream of North American music.Byrd played fingerstyle on a classical guitar. Bommireddy Nagi Reddy today his birth anniversary. A famous film producer of Indian cinema. He was awarded the highest award of Indian cinema ‘Dada Saheb Phalke Samman’ in 1986 for his unprecedented contribution to cinema. He founded the Vijaya Vohini Studio in Chennai, which is considered to be the largest film studio in Asia.

बोमिरेड्डी नागी रेड्डी भारतीय सिनेमा के प्रसिद्ध फ़िल्म निर्माता थे। इन्हें सिनेमा में अभूतपूर्व योगदान के लिए सन् 1986 में भारतीय सिनेमा के सर्वोच्च पुरस्कार 'दादा साहब फाल्के सम्मान' से सम्मानित किया गया था। इन्होंने ही चेन्नई में 'विजया वौहिनी स्टूडियो' की स्थापना की थी जो एशिया का सबसे बड़ा फ़िल्म स्टूडियो माना जाता है। हिंदी में उनकी फिल्मा राम और श्याम को भी काफी सराहा गया।

Today we also remembering Preeti Ganguly on her death anniversary. She was an Indian actress who played several comic roles in Bollywood in the 1970s and 1980s. She was the daughter of veteran Indian actor Ashok Kumar.

We also remembering Indra Lal Roy on his birth anniversary, was the sole Indian World War I flying ace. While serving in the Royal Flying Corps and its successor, the Royal Air Force, he claimed ten aerial victories; five aircraft destroyed (one shared), and five 'down out of control' (one shared) in just over 170 hours flying time, making him the first Indian flying ace.

बोमन ईरानी बॉलीवुड के मशहूर अभिनेता हैं। वे थियेटर अभिनेता, वॉयस आर्टिस्‍ट और फोटोग्रॉफर हैं। वे अपने द्वारा निभाए गए कॉमेडी और खलनायक के किरदारों के लिए जाने जाते हैं। हिंदी सिनेमा में आने से पहले बोमन ने थियेटर में काफी वक्‍त बिताया है, उनका सबसे सफल नाटक आई एम नॉट बॉजीराव रहा जिसका कई बार प्रदर्शन किया गया। ईरानी अब तक लगभग चालीस नाटकों में काम कर चुके हैं। शायद यही कारण है कि उनके अभिनय की वो झलक साफ दिखाई पड़ती है। उनके करियर की शुरूआत फिल्‍म 'एवरीबडी सेज आई एम फाइन' से हुई थी लेकिन उनके फिल्‍मी करियर को पहचान फिल्‍म 'मुन्‍नाभाई एम.बी.बी.एस.' से मिली जिसके लिए उनकी काफी तारीफ हुई.
