गुजरात में विधानसभा चुनाव के पहले चरण के लिये आज वोट डाले जाएंगे। मतदान सुबह आठ बजे शुरू होगा और शाम साढ़े पांच बजे तक चलेगा। इस चरण में सौराष्‍ट्र, कच्‍छ और दक्षिण गुजरात की 89 सीटों पर मतदान होगा। इस चरण में 788 उम्‍मीदवार मैदान में हैं। जीतू भाई वघानी, हर्ष सांघवी, कनुभाई देसाई, राघव जी पटेल, क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी  रविन्‍द्र जड़ेजा की पत्‍नी रीवा बा जड़ेजा, कांग्रेस के वरिष्‍ठ नेता अर्जुन मोरवाडिया, परेश धनानी, इन्‍द्रानिल राज्‍यगुरु, आम आदमी पार्टी के   मुख्‍यमंत्री पद के उम्‍मीदवार इशुदान गढ़वी और पार्टी के राज्‍य अध्‍यक्ष गोपाल इटालिया इस चरण के प्रमुख उम्‍मीदवारों में हैं। निर्वाचन आयोग ने शांतिपूर्ण मतदान सुनिश्चित करने के लिए व्‍यापक प्रबंध किए हैं।  

भारत आज औपचारिक रूप से जी-20 की अध्‍यक्षता ग्रहण करेगा। इस अवसर पर देशभर में जी-20 के लोगो के साथ सौ स्‍मारकों पर रोशनी करने सहित कई कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाएंगे। लोगो को भारत के राष्‍ट्रीय ध्‍वज के रंगों से प्रेरित होकर तैयार किया गया है। लोगो में भारत के राष्ट्रीय पुष्‍प कमल को पृथ्वी के साथ दर्शाया गया है, जो चुनौतियों के बीच विकास का प्रतीक है। जी-20 लोगो के नीचे देवनागरी लिपि में भारत लिखा हुआ है। जी-20 देशों की शेरपा बैठक 5 से 7 दिसम्‍बर तक राजस्‍थान में उदयपुर में होगी। भारत के शेरपा अमिताभ कांत और विदेश मंत्रालय के वरिष्‍ठ अधिकारियों ने हाल ही में उदयपुर में कार्यक्रम की तैयारियों की समीक्षा की थी। वरिष्‍ठ अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक में श्री अमिताभ कांत ने कहा कि जी-20 शेरपा बैठक के आयोजन से उदयपुर को अंतर्राष्‍ट्रीय पर्यटक स्‍थल के रूप प्रदर्शित करने में मदद मिलेगी।

India and Australia have exchanged written notifications regarding their Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA). The agreement will come into force on 29th of December. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said it is the dawn of a whole new era for businesses and people of both nations.

The India-Australia ECTA will significantly enhance bilateral trade in goods and services, create new employment opportunities and raise living standards.

Duties on 100 percent tariff lines are to be eliminated by Australia under the agreement. The total bilateral trade will cross 45 to 50 billion dollars in five years from existing 31 billion dollars.

Reserve Bank of India will launch retail central bank digital currency (CBDC) on pilot basis today. The digital rupee would be in the form of a digital token that represents legal tender. The pilot will cover select locations in closed user group (CUG) comprising participating customers and merchants. It will be issued in the same denominations that paper currency and coins are currently issued and it would be distributed through intermediaries and banks. Eight banks have been identified for phase-wise participation in this pilot. The pilot will initially cover four cities, including Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru and Bhubaneswar and later extend to Ahmedabad, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kochi, Lucknow, Patna and Shimla.

The central bank also said that users will be able to transact with digital rupee through a digital wallet offered by the participating banks and stored on mobile phones or devices. A Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) or a digital rupee is a digital form of currency notes issued by the RBI.

Nagaland is all set to host the 23rd Hornbill Festival 2022 at Naga Heritage Village Kisama from December 1 to 10. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will graced the inaugural function of the festival as the Chief Guest. Addressing media persons at Kohima yesterday, Advisor for Tourism, Art and Culture Department, H Khehovi Yeputhomi said, all necessary arrangement has been put in place for the celebration and constant monitoring have been undertaken for the successful  conduct of the festival. He informed that Ambassador of France to India, Emmanuel Lenain, and Trade Commissioner for South Asia and British Deputy High Commissioner for Western India, Alan Gemmel and Australian High Commissioner to India, Barry O’Farrel AO will also attend the inaugural programme as honoured Guests. The Advisor further added that Ambassador of Bulgaria Eleonora Dimitrova, Chief of Navy Staff  Admiral Hari Kumar, Director External Affairs, South Asia Office Rickitt and President All India Football Federation Kalyan Chaubey will also be attending the festival as guest. The Advisor also informed that five crore rupees have been the allocated budget for the 10 day festival.

The Indian Coast guard conducted the 24th National Oil Spill disaster contingency plan and preparedness meeting at Chennai . Director General VS Pathania chaired the meeting in which about 100 delegates including representatives of various ministries,central and state Government departments and agencies, state pollution control board,Ports and Oil handling Companies participated in the meeting.  Director General VS Pathania,  said that the Coast Guard is committed to deal with the threats to the region and its resources, including marine oil and chemical spill at sea. He stressed that the vulnerabilities continue to emerge, the stakeholders must recognise the opportunity to enhance cooperation through stronger partnerships, effective coordination and imbibing best practices in the world.  

Tamil Nadu has its own artificial intelligence representing the state. The non fungible token showcases the State's past, present and future. It was launched by the State IT Minister Mano Thangaraj at the Technext 2022 web 3 conference conducted by the Confederation of Indian Industry. The NFT is set to be auctioned and the proceeds will be used to set up a web 3 centre of excellence in the State.

Karnataka Health Minister Dr. K Sudhakar has informed that 100 Namma clinics treating non communicable diseases will be inaugurated on December 14th. Speaking to media persons in Hassan, the minister said that a total of 428 such clinics will come up in urban areas. He further said that the department will conduct eye camp for people above the age of 60 years and free eye glasses will be given to those needing them. A sum of 330 crore rupees is earmarked for this programme to be taken up before March next year. On December 9, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will launch Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka card to over 1.10 crore beneficiaries. In every Assembly constituency, 1000 cards will be distributed and the target is to distribute five crore cards by January.

Telangana state government has announced Connected, Autonomous, Shared and Electric (C.A.S.E.) Mobility Grand Challenge to encourage start-ups in the mobility sector, as part of the Hyderabad E-Mobility Week.  The challenge is open for all registered Indian start-ups with the winning ideas receiving prizes up to one lakh dollars in the form of grants, state-of-the-art incubation facilities and mentorship from industry leaders.  The state government had earlier announced the Hyderabad E-Mobility Week from February 5 to 11 next year. State IT Minister K Tarakarama Rao formally announced the launch of the start-up challenge by unveiling the poster and flyer for the event in Hyderabad.  

राजधानी में नर्सरी दाखिले की प्रक्रिया आज से शुरू होगी। शिक्षा निदेशालय द्वारा दाखिले के आवेदन पत्र का शुल्क 25 रूपये निर्धारित किया गया है। दाखिले की पहली मेरिट लिस्ट 20 जनवरी को जारी की जायेगी। शिक्षा निदेशालय द्वारा जारी कार्यक्रम के अनुसार 17 सौ से अधिक निजी स्कूलों को 75 प्रतिशत सीटों पर सामान्य श्रेणी और बाकि 25 प्रतिशत सीटों पर आरक्षित श्रेणी के छात्रों को दाखिला देना अनिवार्य है। निदेशालय ने स्कूलों को दाखिले से संबंधित सभी मानदंडों को निदेशालय की वेबसाइट पर अपलोड करने का निर्देश दिया है।

राजधानी में नगर निगम चुनाव का प्रचार अंतिम दौर में है। चुनाव प्रचार के लिए अब केवल दो दिन बचे हैं। 250 निगम वार्डों के लिए मतदान 4 दिसंबर को होगा और नतीजे 7 दिंसबर को घोषित होंगे। मतदाताओं को लुभाने के लिए सभी राजनीतिक दल, चुनाव प्रचार में पूरी ताकत झोंक रहे हैं। केंद्रीय मंत्री और भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेता नितिन गडकरी ने कल मालवीय नगर, अमर कालोनी और कस्तूरबा नगर में रोड शो किया। आम आदमी पार्टी संयोजक और दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने भी राजधानी के मलका गंज इलाके में रोड शो किया। दिल्ली कांग्रेस प्रदेश अध्यक्ष चौधरी अनिल कुमार ने एक प्रेसवार्ता में बताया कि नगर निगम में उनकी सरकार आने पर स्कूलों में 'डे-बोर्डिंग' शिक्षा की व्यवस्था शुरू की जाएगी। चुनाव में 1349 प्रत्याशी अपनी किस्मत आजमा रहे हैं। इनमें 640 पुरुष और 709 महिला उम्मीदवार हैं।

अपराध शाखा ने राजधानी के कनॉट प्लेस में चल रहे एक अवैध वीजा रैकेट का भंडाफोड़ करते हुए मुख्य आरोपी सहित 8 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है। अपराध शाखा ने बताया है कि आरोपियों के पास से विभिन्न देशों के लगभग 300 पासपोर्ट के साथ-साथ बड़ी संख्या में जाली दस्तावेज मिले हैं। ये सभी एक  टूर एंड ट्रेवल कंपनी की आड़ में इस रैकेट का संचालन कर रहे थे।

महाराष्ट्र के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री तानाजी सावंत ने कहा कि महाराष्ट्र सरकार राज्य में खसरे से निपटने के लिए टीकाकरण अभियान पर जोर देगी। कल मुंबई में पत्रकारों से बात करते हुए सावंत ने कहा कि स्वास्थ्य विभाग को निर्देश दिया गया है कि मुंबई के साथ-साथ राज्य के अन्य हिस्सों में लगातार संदिग्ध खसरे के रोगियों की जानकारी ली जाए, सभी नगर पालिकाओं में विशेष खसरा रोकथाम प्रकोष्ठों को चालू किया जाए और टीकाकरण की आवश्यकता के संबंध में जन जागरूकता पैदा की जानी चाहिए। इस बीच मुंबई में कल खसरे के 15 नए मामले दर्ज किए गए। महाराष्ट्र की राजधानी में वर्ष की शुरुआत के बाद से अब तक दर्ज मामलों की संख्या 323 तक पहुंच गई है। जबकि राज्‍य में मामलों की संख्या बढ़कर 724 हो गई।

पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार ने बिजली आपूर्ति और बिलिंग प्रणाली को आधुनिक बनाने के लिए उपभोक्ताओं के घरों में स्मार्ट मीटर लगाने का काम शुरू कर दिया है। ऊर्जा मंत्री श्री अरूप विश्वास ने कल विधानसभा में कहा कि राज्य भर में 37 लाख स्मार्ट मीटर लगाने का प्रस्ताव है और इसे अलग-अलग चरणों में लागू किया जाएगा। श्री विश्वास ने कहा कि आधुनिकीकरण परियोजना के लिए लगभग 12 हजार करोड़ रुपये निर्धारित किए गए हैं, जिसमें से 60 प्रतिशत केंद्र द्वारा और शेष 40 प्रतिशत राज्य सरकार द्वारा वहन किया जाएगा। मंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य में 2 करोड़ 20 लाख उपभोक्ता हैं, कलकत्ता इलेक्ट्रिक सप्लाई कार्पोरेशन (सीईएससी) के 33 लाख उपभोक्ता हैं। प्रोजेक्ट के तहत 87 सब स्टेशन बनाए जाएंगे।

Every year, on 1 December, the world commemorates World AIDS Day. People around the world unite to show support for people living with and affected by HIV and to remember those who lost their lives to AIDS.The inequalities which perpetuate the AIDS pandemic are not inevitable; we can tackle them. This World AIDS Day, UNAIDS is urging each of us to address the inequalities which are holding back progress in ending AIDS.The “Equalize” slogan is a call to action. It is a prompt for all of us to work for the proven practical actions needed to address inequalities and help end AIDS.  It is a call to action for all of us to redress disparities and aid in the eradication of AIDS. To ensure that everyone is well-served, increase the availability, quality, and acceptability of services for HIV treatment, testing, and prevention. To combat the prejudice and isolation suffered by people who are HIV-positive and by important and disadvantaged communities, reform laws, policies, and practices. This will ensure that everyone is respected and accepted. This year's theme for World AIDS Day is “Rock the Ribbon.” The National AIDS Trust is committed to stopping new cases of HIV, securing the rights of people living with HIV, and fighting HIV stigma and discrimination

World AIDS Day is significant because it serves as a reminder to the public and the government that HIV is still a serious problem that requires urgent funding, more awareness, the eradication of prejudice, and improved educational opportunities.

The Border Security Force (BSF) is India's border guarding organisation on its border with Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) of India, and was raised in the wake of the 1965 war on 1 December 1965, "for ensuring the security of the borders of India and for matters connected there with".[5][6]

 It has various active roles during an outbreak of war. It is the only CAPF to have a Water Wing, Air Wing and an Artillery Regiment. It comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The BSF has its own cadre of officers but its head, designated as a Director-General (DG), since its raising has been an officer from the Indian Police Service.[6] The BSF has grown exponentially from 25 battalions in 1965, to 192 battalions with a sanctioned strength of 270,363 personnel including an expanding Air wing, Marine wing, an artillery regiment, and specialized units.[7][8] It currently stands as the world's largest border guarding force. BSF has been termed as the First Line of Defence of Indian territories.

प्रसिद्ध भारतीय स्वतंत्रता सेनानी एवं राजनीतिज्ञ सुचेता कृपलानी की आज पुण्‍यतिथि है। ये उत्तर प्रदेश की चौथी और भारत की प्रथम महिला मुख्यमंत्री थीं। भारत के संविधान को मूल रूप देने वाली समिति में शामिल 15 महिलाओं में सुचेता कृपलानी भी थीं। इन्होंने संविधान के साथ भारतीय समाज के निर्माण में भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।

Dattatreya Balkrishna Kalelkar (1 December 1885 – 21 August 1981), popularly known as Kaka Kalelkar, was an Indian independence activist, social reformer, journalist and an eminent follower of the philosophy and methods of Mahatma Gandhi. Influenced by Gandhi, he became member of Sabarmati Ashram. He taught at Rashtriya Shala of Sabarmati Ashram. For some time, he served as the editor of Sarwodaya periodical which was run from the premises of the Ashram. He was imprisoned several times due to his participation in Indian independence movement. With Gandhi's encouragement, he played an active role in establishing Gujarat Vidyapith at Ahmedabad, and served as its vice-chancellor from 1928 to 1935. Kalelkar wrote several books, including voluminous travelogues, in Gujarati, Marathi, and Hindi like the Profiles in Inspiration (English) Stray Glimpses of Bapu (English)Mahatma Gandhi's Gospel of Swadeshi (English)Mahatma Gandhi Ka Swadeshi Dharma (Hindi). Kalelkar received a Sahitya Akademi Award in 1965 for his Jeevan-Vyavastha, a collection of essays in Gujarati.[1] He was honored with Sahitya Akademi Fellowship in 1971 for his literary achievements.The Government of India conferred on him Padma Vibhushan  in 1964. It also issued a commemorative stamp in his honor in 1985.

अब याद करते हैं भारत के स्‍वतंत्रता संग्राम के प्रसिद्ध क्रांतिकारियों में से एक अनंता सिंह को जिनकी आज पुण्‍य तिथ‍ि है। वे अपने साथी क्रांतिकारियों में बम तथा बन्दूक की गोलियाँ आदि बनाने में कुशल थे। 'चटगाँव कांड' के फलस्वरूप अनंता सिंह के कई साथियों को पुलिस द्वारा गिरफ़्तार कर लिया गया था। जबकि उन्‍होंने स्वयं समर्पण कर दिया था। उन्‍हें आजीवन कारावास की सज़ा हुई। उन्हें 1932 में अंडमान की जेल भेज दिया गया, जहाँ से वे 1946 में रिहा हुए।

Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, PVC (1 December 1924 – 18 November 1962) was an Indian Army officer and recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military decoration. Singh was born in Rajasthan. On completing his graduation, Singh joined the Jodhpur State Forces. He was transferred to the Kumaon Regiment after the princely state of Jodhpur was merged into India. He took part in operations in the Naga Hills and also in the 1961 Indian annexation of Goa.

Vijayalakshmi Pandit (18 August 1900 – 1 December 1990), a wealthy, aristocratic family, and sister of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Vijayalakshmi Pandit had also made an important contribution to the independence of the country, which cannot be forgotten. She was imprisoned for his participation in the ‘Civil Disobedience Movement.

जाने माने भारतीय फिल्म अभिनेता राकेश बेदी का आज जन्मदिन है। वह हिंदी रंगमंच पर अपनी कॉमेडी से लाखों करोडों को गुदगुदाने वाले राकेश बेदी का जन्म साल 1956 में नई दिल्ली में हुआ था। शुरुआती पढ़ाई दिल्ली से हुई। अभिनय करने का शौक बचपन से था। पढ़ाई खत्म होने के बाद वह थिएटर से जुड़ गए। उसके बाद उनके पिता ने अभिनय में उनकी रूचि देखते हुए उनका दाखिला फिल्म एंड टेलीविजन इंस्टीयूट ऑफ़ इंडिया पुणे में करा दिया। राकेश बेदी ने अपने करियर की शुरुआत साल 1979 में संजीव कुमार स्टारर फिल्म हम तुम्हारे से की थी। उन्होंने अब तक 150 से ज्यादा फिल्मों में काम किया हैं। वह छोटे पर्दे पर भी अपनी कॉमेडी से काफी धमाल मचा चुके हैं। उन्होंने हिंदी सिनेमा की कई सुपरहिट फिल्मों में दर्शकों को अपनी कॉमेडी से लोगो को गुदगुदाया हैं।

भारतीय सिनेमा के प्रसिद्ध पार्श्वगायकों में शुमार उदित नारायण का भी आज जन्‍म दिन है। बिहार के मिथिलांचल से आने वाले उदित नारायण की मातृभाषा मैथिली हैं। लेकिन उन्होंने तेलुगु, तमिल, मैथिली, मलयालम, कन्नड़, ओडिया, नेपाली, भोजपुरी, बंगाली सहित कई अन्य भाषाओं में गाने गाए हैं। वर्ष 2009 में भारत सरकार ने उन्हें पद्म श्री पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया। उन्होंने 4 राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कार और 5 फ़िल्मफ़ेयर पुरस्कार जीते हैं। उदित नारायण का जन्म 1 दिसंबर 1955 को बिहार के सुपौल जिले में हुआ। उन्होंने अपना पहला हिन्दी गाना मोहम्मद रफी के साथ गाया। भारत के साथ-साथ नेपाल में भी उनकी जबरदस्‍त लोकप्रियता है।
