⦁ Prime Minister Narendra Modi will share his thoughts with the people of the country and abroad in the 'Mann Ki Baat' programme on All India Radio at 11 AM today. It will be the 95th episode of the monthly radio programme. The programme will be broadcast on the entire network of All India Radio and Doordarshan, AIR News website and Newsonair mobile app. It will also be live streamed on the YouTube channels of the AIR News, DD News, PMO and Information and Broadcasting Ministry. AIR will broadcast the programme in regional languages immediately after the Hindi broadcast.

⦁ विदेश मंत्री डॉक्‍टर सुब्रमण्यम जयशंकर ने कहा है कि  पड़ोसी देश म्यांमा में अराजक स्थिति के कारण मणिपुर विभिन्न समस्याओं का सामना कर रहा है। श्री जयशंकर तीन दिन की मणिपुर यात्रा पर कल इम्फाल पहुंचे। उन्होंने कहा कि देश के युवाओं को आधुनिक विश्व में बड़ी भूमिका निभानी चाहिए। श्री जय़शंकर ने कहा कि तीन करोड़ से अधिक भारतीय नागरिक विभिन्न देशों में काम कर रहे हैं।केंद्रीय मंत्री ने कहा कि शिक्षा को केवल रोजगार प्राप्त करने का साधन नहीं माना जाना चाहिए। इसके बजाए हमें अपने अनुकूल कार्य चुनने और उसमें निपुण होने के लिए कड़ी मेहनत करने की आवश्यकता है।

⦁ The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is celebrating 74th anniversary of its Raising Day today. This largest uniformed youth organisation in the world was raised in 1948. The day is being celebrated all over the country with cadets participating in march past, cultural activities and social development programmes. The multifaceted activities and varied curriculum of the NCC, provides unique opportunities to the youth for self-development. Many cadets have made the Nation and the organisation proud through their remarkable achievements in the field of sports and adventure. The expansion of NCC has also been undertaken in coastal and border areas of the country by adding over one lakh young cadets to its fold in recent times. This has motivated the youth from these areas to join the Armed forces and contribute to Nation Building. The NCC has also been a platform for harnessing international relations for over four decades by sending its cadets as ambassadors of peace and unity to over 25 nations.

⦁ गोवा में भारतीय अंततराष्‍ट्रीय फिल्‍मोत्‍सव में पुनरावलोकन खंड में अभिनेत्री आशा पारेख की तीन फिल्‍मों को दिखाया जा रहा है। आशा पारेख ने तीसरी मंजिल, दो बदन और कटी पतंग फिल्‍मों को सुझाव दिया था, जो उनकी पसंदीदा फिल्‍में हैं। हमारे संवाददाता ने बताया है कि फिल्‍मोत्‍सव में कल दादा साहेब पुरस्‍कार से सम्‍मानित 80 वर्षीय आशा पारेख की फिल्‍म कटी पतंग दिखाई गई।

⦁ The Government has invited ideas and suggestions from people for the Union Budget 2023-24. To foster the spirit of Jan Bhagidari, the Finance Ministry invites suggestions from citizens every year to make the Budget making process participative and inclusive. It urged people to share their ideas and suggestions that can help transform India into a global economic powerhouse with inclusive growth.  The last date for submissions is 10th of next month.

⦁ फीफा फुटबॉल विश्व कप में कल ग्रुप सी में अर्जेंटीना ने मैक्सिको 2-0 से हरा दिया। वहीं ग्रुप डी में फ्रांस ने डेनमार्क को 2-1 से पराजित किया कर अंतिम 16 में जगह बनाई। अन्‍य मैचों में ऑस्‍ट्रेलिया ने ट्यूनिशिया को और पोलैंड ने सउदी अरब को पराजित किया। आज दिन में साढ़े तीन बजे ग्रुप ई में जापान का मुकाबला कोस्‍टारिका से होगा, वहीं शाम साढ़े छह बजे ग्रुप एफ में बेल्जियम का सामना मोरक्‍को से, जबकि रात साढ़े नौ बजे क्रोएशिया का मुकाबला कनाड़ा से होगा।

⦁ In Cricket, India were 22 for 0 in 4.5 overs against New Zealand in the second ODI of three-match series at Seddon Park in Hamilton when rain interrupted the play. Earlier, the hosts won the toss and decided to field first. All India Radio is broadcasting ball by ball commentary alternately in Hindi and English and it is available on FM Rainbow Network, Indraprashta and FM Relay stations from 6.30 AM. It is also available now on DD sports.

An exclusive app was launched by the Tamilnadu Police DGP C.Sylendra Babu at the police headquarters. The primary objective of the application is to digitalise the age-old system of history sheeter checks by jurisdictional officers ensuring real time monitoring of the level of checks done monthly. The app gives various details to supervisory officers at their fingertips like the number of rowdies in jail, and how many are under CrPC security sections , alerts regarding the expiry of bonds, cases pending, the trial against rowdies, filtering/classification of accused based on the type of offences involved and gang related rowdies. More than 30 thousand rowdies from 39 districts and 9 commissionerates have been digitised.

The construction of a metro rail hub is underway in Chennai . The 118 km phase 2 project is likely to be ready by 2026 according to the spokesperson of CMRL , Girirajan said that Alandur will be the city's largest interchange hub as part of the phase 2 project. In phase 2, Alandur is part of the 47 km Madhavaram - Sholinganallur corridor that links southern neighborhoods of the Chennai City.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that Bengaluru will host a meeting of G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors in February next year during India’s tenure as the President of the G20 grouping. The Minister was speaking at the Vananam Startup Inclusivity Summit in Bengaluru yesterday. Mr Sitharaman has asked the Start ups to utilise this event to showcase their profile to the visiting international guests. The Finance Minister said, different cities in India have been selected to host G-20 related meetings next year. Speaking about other issues, the Minister said, rapid growth in digital transactions has ushered in transparency and empowered customers. She said, every month an average of digital transactions of six billion dollar are taking place in India now.

Under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, Karnataka is ranked first in terms of registration of health professionals and number two in the registration of health facilities. Karnataka Health Minister Dr. K Sudhakar has said that 28,643 doctors and nurses have registered in the Healthcare Professionals Registry and 27,244 healthcare facilities providing institutions have also registered in it. There are 4.58 lakh records linked to 1.35 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts in the country.  ABDM Building Blocks have been formulated to integrate key health documents of Ayushman Bharat Card Holders. These card holders are able to access health records through the E-hospital portal.

In Telangana, in a major push for maternal and child care, 56 Targeted Imaging For Foetal Anomalies (TIFFA) ultrasound machines have been set up in 40 government hospitals across the state. The machines enable doctors to monitor the foetal growth and detect congenital anomalies at a very early stage so that a right treatment call can be taken. The machines have higher precision than ultrasound examinations and can help detect birth defects in the unborn child in the womb itself. The new machines have been procured with a cost of 20 crore rupees and will provide scanning services to 20,000 pregnant women in a month. The machines were unveiled by State Health Minister T Harish Rao, along with Home Minister Mahamood Ali virtually from Hyderabad yesterday.

दिल्ली सिख गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधन समिति ने दिल्ली नगर निगम के चुनाव में भारतीय जनता पार्टी को अपना समर्थन दिया है। दिल्ली प्रदेश भाजपा अध्यक्ष आदेश गुप्ता की सिख नेता सरदार मनजिंदर सिंह सिरसा और दिल्ली सिख गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधन समिति के सदस्यों की बीच यह फैसला लिया गया। समिति के प्रमुख सरदार हरमीत सिंह कालका ने यह जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि इस चुनाव हम भारतीय जनता पार्टी की जीत चाहते है।

केन्‍द्रीय सूचना और प्रसारण और खेल मंत्री अनुराग ठाकुर ने कल दिल्‍ली नगर निगम के चुनाव में भारतीय जनता पार्टी के उम्‍मीदवारों के पक्ष में अनेक जनसभाओं को संबोधित किया। उन्‍होंने निगम के अनेक वार्डों के दौरा किया और घर-घर जा कर लोगों से भाजपा उम्‍मीदवारों के पक्ष में मतदान करने की अपील भी की। श्री ठाकुर ने आम आदमी पार्टी की सरकार पर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि दिल्‍ली की जनता मुख्‍यमंत्री केजरीवाल को स्‍पष्‍ट संदेश देना चाहती है कि झूठे वायदों से काम नहीं चलेगा। उन्‍होंने दिल्‍ली सरकार के मंत्रियों पर कथित गंभीर भ्रष्‍टाचार में शामिल होने का आरोप लगाया और कहा कि उनके एक मंत्री जेल में है। श्री ठाकुर ने कहा कि यह केवल उनकी भ्रष्‍ट और शराब घोटाले की राजनीति को दर्शाता है। दिल्‍ली की जनता इनसे मुक्ति पाना चाहती है।

नौसेना सप्ताह के दौरान मुंबई में नौसेना डॉकयार्ड, बलार्ड एस्टेट में पश्चिमी बेड़े के अग्रिम पंक्ति के युद्धपोत स्कूली बच्चों के लिए खुले हैं। महाराष्ट्र और देश के अन्य हिस्सों से आए लगभग 4000 छात्रों ने इन युद्धपोतों और हथियारों को देखा। आज भी और छात्रों के आने की उम्मीद है। छात्रों को आईएनएस चेन्नई और आईएनएस तरकश जहाजों का भ्रमण कराया गया। छात्रों ने जहाजों पर चालक दल के साथ भी बातचीत की और उन्हें भारतीय नौसेना की भूमिका और क्षमताओं के बारे में बताया गया।

राज्य सरकार ने निर्देश दिया है कि लंबित कार्यों को तेजी से पूरा करने के लिए बीडीओ कार्यालय, पंचायत समिति और ग्राम पंचायत विभाग शनिवार और रविवार को खुले रह सकते हैं। यह निर्देश केंद्र द्वारा ग्रामीण सड़क योजना और प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना के तहत परियोजनाओं को पूरा करने के लिए समय सीमा निर्धारित करने के बाद आया है। जिलाधिकारियों को रात में भी जागकर काम पूरा करने को कहा गया है। राज्य के पंचायत एवं ग्राम विकास मंत्री श्री प्रदीप मजूमदार ने आकाशवाणी को बताया कि केंद्र ने 11 लाख 34 हजार घरों को मार्च तक पूरा करने की समय सीमा तय की है।

आज पुण्यतिथि है 'शिवमंगल सिंह 'सुमन' की वह हिन्दी के शीर्ष कवियों में से एक थे। उन्हें सन् 1999 में भारत सरकार ने साहित्य एवं शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित किया था।

शिवमंगल सिंह 'सुमन' का कार्यक्षेत्र अधिकांशत: शिक्षा जगत से संबद्ध रहा। वे ग्वालियर के विक्टोरिया कॉलेज में हिंदी के व्याख्याता, माधव महाविद्यालय उज्जैन के प्राचार्य और फिर कुलपति रहे। अध्यापन के अतिरिक्त विभिन्न महत्त्वपूर्ण संस्थाओं और प्रतिष्ठानों से जुड़कर उन्होंने हिंदी साहित्य में श्रीवृद्धि की। सुमन जी प्रिय अध्यापक, कुशल प्रशासक, प्रखर चिंतक और विचारक भी थे। वे साहित्य को बोझ नहीं बनाते, अपनी सहजता में गंभीरता को छिपाए रखते। वह साहित्य प्रेमियों में ही नहीं अपितु सामान्य लोगों में भी बहुत लोकप्रिय थे।

साहित्य एवं शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित किया गया था।

Today birth anniversary of Ganesh Vasudev Mavalankar. He popularly known as Dadasaheb was an independence activist, the President (from 1946 to 1947) of the Central Legislative Assembly, then Speaker of the Constituent Assembly of India, and later the first Speaker of the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India. His son Purushottam Mavalankar was later elected to the Lok Sabha twice from Gujarat. Mavalankar was one of the guiding forces with Patel in the educational sphere of Gujarat and was co-founder of the Ahmadabad Education Society along with Kasturbhai Lalbhai and Amritlal Hargovindas. Further, he along with Gandhi, Patel, and others was also one of the proposers of an institution like Gujarat University as early as the 1920s, which later came to be founded in 1949.
