PM-CONSTITUTION DAY
India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Constitution Day celebrations in the Supreme Court on Saturday. During the programme, the Prime Minister will launch various new initiatives under the e-court project. The project is an effort to provide services to litigants, lawyers and the judiciary through information and communication technology. The initiatives being launched by the Prime Minister include Virtual Justice Clock, JustIS mobile App 2.0, Digital court and S3WaaS Websites. Virtual Justice Clock will make the functioning of the courts accountable and transparent by sharing with the public the status of case disposals by the court. Public can access the Virtual Justice Clock of any court on the District Court’s website. Through JustIS Mobile App 2.0, judges of High Court and Supreme Court can now monitor the case pendency and its disposal. Digital court is an initiative to make the court records available to the judge in digitized form. S3WaaS websites is a framework to generate, configure, deploy and manage websites for publishing specified information and services related to district judiciary.
G-20 SHERPAS MEETING
Moving onto our segment G20 in India:
The Indian City of Lakes, Udaipur in Rajasthan is gearing up to host the first G20 Sherpa Meeting in India from 4th to 7th of December. A report..
The meeting is aimed at fostering growth and building bonds amongst the twenty nations. Among the highlights will be the depiction of Indian culture with wall paintings and illumination of heritage sites across the city. The G20 Sherpa meeting is expected to be held at the Darbar Hall at the City Palace Udaipur. Arrangement is being made at Fateh Prakash Palace, Hotel Udai Vilas and Leela Palace to accommodate the delegates for this meeting. The Royal Dinner is expected to be held at Jag Mandir where the delegates will be treated to delicacies from the Indian cuisine as well as those of the member countries. In an exclusive interview to AIR News, Udaipur collector Tara Chand Meena outlined the arrangement made in the city for the G20 Sherpa meeting to be held next month.
The Sherpa Meeting of the G20 Summit is a preliminary meeting of the government representatives before the main G20 Summit. Here the representatives of the member nations hold discussions to firm up possible agreements. The final decisions are taken at the G20 summit by the Heads of States. Ahead of the main G20 Summit, the Sherpas meeting ensures that the time and resources required at the time of negotiations of the larger heads of state at the final summit are minimized. G-20 -DELEGATION
Meanwhile, the G-20 delegation has arrived in Port Blair for interactive briefing for the Heads of Missions of G20 countries in India. The G-20 delegation received warm welcome in Port Blair on Friday. Soon after their arrival, the delegation visited the National Memorial Cellular Jail. Former Foreign Secretary and G20 chief co-ordinator Harshvardhan Shringla and G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant are part of the delegation. It is a moment of immense pride for the entire nation as the journey of G20 India presidency begins at Cellular Jail, Port Blair. In a tweet, Mr Kant remarked that we commemorate the valour and service of all our unsung freedom fighters who were imprisoned in this Cellular Jail and salute their invaluable contribution towards India.
The briefing of G20 will be held on Saturday at Swaraj Dweep. India will take over G20 Presidency on 1st December, this year.
RAJNATH-IPRD
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has called upon the nations to work together to tackle the challenges posed by the climate change, covid pandemic and widespread deprivation. He said, all the nations should take collective steps to surmount these challenges without being distracted by the destructive seduction of wars and conflicts.
Addressing the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue-2022 in New Delhi on Friday, Mr. Singh said, the resolute message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the era of war is over has been echoed by the world leaders gathered in G20 Summit in Bali.
Mr Singh stressed on elevating the paradigm of collective security to a level of shared interests and shared security. He expressed belief that if security becomes a truly collective enterprise, then a beneficial global order can be created.
The Defence Minister said, the Indo-Pacific region remains important for the economic development of the global community.

INDIA PHARMA
India's pharma industry has shown a tremendous growth of 90.32 per cent in April-October 2022 as compared to the same period of 2013. India's pharma exports witnessed a growth of 137.7 per cent since April-October 2013. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that India has emerged as a global pharma powerhouse under the Narendra Modi government. Country's Drugs and Pharmaceuticals export value stands at 1,833.4 billion rupees for the year 2021-22. In the year 2013-14, its value was at 904.1 billion rupees.
SEA BREEZE
Indian Navy and Royal Navy of Oman participated in the 13th Edition of bilateral exercise ‘Naseem Al Bahr’ or Sea Breeze. The highlight of the excercise was participation of India's guided missile stealth frigate, INS Trikand, offshore patrol vessel, INS Sumitra, and Maritime Patrol Aircraft Dornier. Here is a report....
The six-day long exercise was conducted off the coast of Oman. Three phases also included tactical maritime exercise involving surface action, air defence, maritime surveillance and interdiction. These operations helped in strengthening interoperability as well as enhancing understanding of each other’s procedures. The two Navies also had professional interactions between operations teams and friendly sports fixtures. Indian naval ships Trikand and Sumitra and Omainan Ships Al Shinas and Al Seeb, sailed for the sea phase.
Naval exercises have added strength and substance to the bilateral ties of India and Oman. The two countries have traditionally enjoyed warm and friendly relations, sharing common cultural values. The first naval exercise between the two countries was conducted in 1993. This year marks 30 years of Indian and Omanese bilateral naval exercises. INDIA-GULF FTA
India and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have decided to pursue resumption of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations. Both the sides have agreed to expedite conclusion of the requisite legal and technical requirements for formal resumption of the FTA negotiations.
Speaking at the signing ceremony of resumption of India-GCC FTA negotiations, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said, the FTA will be a comprehensive economic partnership that will cover different aspects of trade. He expressed confidence that two sides will set a new benchmark. Mr. Goyal said, GCC is currently India’s largest trading partner bloc with bilateral merchandise trade valued at over 154 billion US dollars in the financial year 2021-22.
CHINA PROTEST
In China, a massive labour protest has been reported at Foxconn's Zhengzhou factory against its zero Covid policy. Labourers and workers at Foxconn's Zhengzhou factory held protests on the factory campus, where they have had to stay since a closed-loop system was announced to counter the spread of COVID19 without compromising productivity under the Zero Covid policy.
Videos of the violence in Zhengzhou showed masked labourers facing off police in protective suits. The violence comes as Chinese city Zhengzhou, which is home to a flagship iPhone factory again tightened its COVID-19 measures making it the only major economy still subscribed to full lockdowns to face virus outbreaks.
MODI-RATING
Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains the world’s most popular leader with an approval rating of 77 percent. This was revealed in a Global Leader Approval Ratings released by a US based consulting firm Morning Consult. Mexico President Andrés Manuel López Obrador stands at second position followed by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. In the approval rating, US President Joe Biden is placed at 9th position followed by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak among the 22 world leaders.
INDIA - TURTLE
India has strengthened protection to Leith’s Soft-shelled Turtle under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species, CITES. India’s proposal for transferring Leith’s Softshell Turtle from Appendix II to Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of wild fauna and flora has been adopted by the Conference of Parties to CITES in its 19th Meeting at Panama. This will ensure that legal international trade in the species does not take place for commercial purposes. It will also ensure that international trade in captive-bred specimens only takes place from registered facilities and higher penalties are provided for illegal trade of the species.

In Cricket, New Zealand defeated India in the first ODI at Auckland by seven wickets on Friday. Chasing a target of 307 runs, New Zealand scored 309 for three in 47.1 overs. Latham hammered an unbeaten knock of 145 runs off 104 balls and Kane Williamson slammed an unbeaten knock of 94 runs off 98 deliveries. Meanwhile, debutant Umran Malik took two wickets for the visitors. Initially, the visitors posted 306 for seven in 50 overs, with Shreyas Iyer smacking 80 runs off 76 balls. The second ODI will be played on Sunday at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
FIFA WC
In the FIFA World Cup Football 2022, Host Qatar was eliminated from the tournament after losing to Senegal 1-3 in a Group A match. Boulaye Dia, Famara Deehiou and Bamba Dieng scored one goal each and helped Senegal for easy win.
In another match Iran defeated Wales by 2-0 in their Group B match. Roozbeh Cheshmi, Ramin Rezeian strike one goal each in last minute of the game and provide Iran a win in the thrilling encounter.
75 CREATIVE MINDS OF TOMORROW
The second edition of ‘75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow’ at International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa concluded with the award ceremony of the “53-Hour Challenge”. The competition provided a challenge to the 75 Creative Minds selected from all over the country to produce a short film on their idea of India@100, all in 53 hours. "The competition was launched on Monday, by Information & Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur. During 53 hour deadline, 5 short films were made. From the shoot, to the final film delivery, the filmmakers worked non-stop, to bring their scripts to life. The film ‘Dear Diary’ made by Team Purple, has been adjudged as the best movie. The winning film highlights the issue of women’s safety. The other four films made under the competition are Antardrishti, The Ring, Almost and Sau Ka Note. All five films will be telecast across India on Shorts TV on Sunday at 9 PM. The competition was organised by National Film Development Corporation in collaboration with Shorts TV.
