प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जापान यात्रा पर आज सुबह टोक्यो पहुंचे। वे आज जापान के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री शिंजो आबे के अंतिम संस्कार में शामिल होंगे। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी जापान के प्रधानमंत्री फुमियो किशिदा के साथ द्विपक्षीय बैठक भी करेंगे। इस दौरान भारत और जापान के बीच विशेष सामरिक और वैश्विक साझेदारी को और मजबूत करने की प्रतिबद्धता की पुष्टि की जाएगी।

President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Integrated Cryogenic Engines Manufacturing Facility of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Bengaluru today. The Cryogenic engines are used by ISRO for its satellite launch operations. At HAL, the President will also lay the foundation stone of the South Zonal Institute of Virology virtually. Ms Murmu will also inaugurate St Joseph University and in the evening attend a Civic reception hosted by the State Government in her honour.

Yesterday, President inaugurated the new campus of  Indian Institute of Information Technology in Dharwad, Karnataka. Speaking on the occasion, the President laid emphasis on the role knowledge society can play in making India a vishwa guru when the new India will emerge. She said institutions like Triple IT can mold youngsters to be leaders who can drive research and innovation in the areas of computer science, data analytics, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, data science, digitalisation, nano technology and biotechnology.

वित्तमंत्री निर्मला सीतारामन आज नई दिल्ली में अनुसूचित जातियों के लिए सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों में ऋण मंजूरी व्यवस्था और अन्य कल्याणकारी योजनाओं की समीक्षा करेंगी। राष्ट्रीय अनुसूचित जाति आयोग के अध्यक्ष, सार्वजनिक बैंकों के प्रमुख तथा सिडबी और नाबार्ड जैसे वित्तीय संस्थान के प्रतिनिधि भी बैठक में शामिल होंगे।

वित्त मंत्रालय ने बताया कि सरकार ने, विशेष रूप से अनुसूचित जाति के लोगों के लिए कई योजनाएं लागू की हैं। इनमें स्टैंडअप इंडिया, ऋण विस्तार गारंटी योजना और उद्यम पूंजी निधि जैसी योजनाएं शामिल हैं।

Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 has been extended for a further period of six months. The extension will come into effect from 1st of next month. Ministry of Commerce and Industry said, the government has received requests from Export Promotion Councils and leading exporters to extend the policy. The exporters and industry bodies have strongly urged the government to extend the policy in view of volatile global economic scenario and geo-political situation.

Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 was unveiled in 2015. The policy provides a framework for increasing exports of goods and services keeping Make in India vision of Prime Minister in focus. It also emphasize on improving the ease of doing business.

शिमला और दिल्ली के बीच लगभग दो साल के अंतराल के बाद हवाई उड़ानें आज फिर से शुरू हो गईं। हिमाचल प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री जय राम ठाकुर ने मण्डी जिले के सेराज विधानसभा क्षेत्र के गांव बगसियाड़ से वर्चुअली माध्यम से आज सुबह शिमला हवाई अड्डे से एलायंस एयर के नए एटीआर-42-600 विमान को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। केंद्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन राज्य मंत्री जनरल वीके सिंह भी दिल्ली से वर्चुअली माध्यम से इस कार्यक्रम में शामिल हुए।

Supreme Court's Constitution bench hearings will be livestreamed from today. The proceedings can be watched on the Supreme Court's own platform webcast.gov.in/scindia/. Today, three Constitution benches will sit and hear the cases relating to pleas challenging the Centre's decision to grant a 10 per cent quota for the EWS category in admissions and jobs, the Maharashtra political crisis, and control of administrative services in Delhi. A five-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of India UU Lalit will hear pleas challenging the EWS quota case. Justice DY Chandrachud-led bench will hear the petitions filed by both the Uddhav Thackeray-led camp and Eknath Shinde group on the issue of the Maharashtra political crisis. While a bench headed by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul will hear the plea of the Delhi government on the contentious issue of who should control administrative services in Delhi over the transfers and postings of officers in the national capital.

Russia has granted citizenship to former US National Security Agency (NSA) contractor and whistleblower Edward Snowden, who was given asylum in the country after he made sensational claims about a US mass surveillance program back in 2013, according to reports. President Vladimir Putin signed a decree yesterday granting Russian citizenship to him, according to CBS News. The move comes at a time when there is tension between United States and Russia over the conflict in Ukraine. 39-year-old Snowden made headlines after making allegations about a US mass surveillance program back in 2013 claiming it was carried out by the NSA where he was a contractor. He fled America and was given asylum by Russia. US authorities have for years wanted Snowden returned to the United States to face a criminal trial on espionage charges.

The Tamilnadu Cabinet gave its nod for an ordinance to ban or regulate online games. Earlier the Government constituted a committee under the Chairmanship of retired judge Justice K.Chandru to advise the State on enacting a fresh legislation to regulate the online games. The urgency stems from the fact that the State reported more than 20 suicides due to financial distress caused by playing online rummy since 2020. The Chandru committee submitted its report to the Government on June 27 and the Cabinet was convened the same day to take note of the reports recommendations.

A private hospital in Chennai has decided to install one hundred automated external defibrillators at key public places across the State in the next three years. Three AEDs were inaugurated yesterday in Chennai. The founder and executive director of the Kavery Hospital Chennai said that more than 70 percent of the cardiac arrests occur outside the hospitals. He told that timely restart with an AED increases the chances of survival. Educating the public about using AED will save lives that are facing sudden emergencies.

Karnataka Sports minister Dr. Narayana Gowda inaugurated the traditional wrestling competition in Mysuru yesterday as part of Dasara festivities. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that wrestling was promoted even during the days of Maharajas in Karnataka. He opined that Gyms have mushroomed everywhere but still the Akhadas of traditional wrestlers has heritage value. He noted that even today several Wrestling Akhadas send their wrestlers to Mysuru Dasara wrestling competition. He informed that the Sports department gives 10 lakh rupees financial assistance to set up such Akhadas.

The Mysuru Dasara Fruit and flower show was inaugurated yesterday at Kuppanna Park in the heritage city. To mark the 75th year of Indian Independence, a replica of Rashtrapati Bhavan is built using red and white roses. Another attraction of the flower show is the bust of Sandalwood actor late Puneeth Rajkumar using various flowers. A seven foot honeybee, 12 foot Giraffe are some other replicas attracting the visitors. The entire park is decorated with flowers such as marigold, French Marigold, Genia and Dalia apart from Rose and lily.

Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Ramarao has said the State government will expand the presence of the Information Technology (IT) sector in tier-II cities across the state. Speaking to employs of IT private companies in Adilabad, the Minister said youngsters in the remote town will be able to compete with their counterparts from Bengaluru and Hyderabad cities if they were provided with opportunities. He said tier-II cities like Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nalgonda and Nizamabad have infrastructure and are conducive to set up software companies. The minister also said the erstwhile Adilabad district is bestowed with beautiful hills, waterfalls, streams, greenery, historical places and tourist spots and rich cultural wealth and can be hyped to the Kashmir of Telangana.

Heavy rains accompanied with thunder lashed several parts of Hyderabad Last evening inundating low-lying areas and busy thoroughfares. The torrential rain impacted the commuter traffic, as roads at vital junctions in Hyderabad came under sheets of rainwater. Many parts of the city reported massive thunderstorms that remained active for nearly a few hours. Widespread showers reported in the areas like Uppal, Nagole, LB Nagar, Tarnaka, Boduppal, Amberpet, Nampally, Abids, Mehdipatnam and Malakpet. Several parts received over 9 cm of rainfall during one hour. Meanwhile, MET officials issued an yellow alert to Hyderabad and informed that light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms is likely in the State capital today also following a monsoon trough.

दिल्ली नगर निगम द्वारा विश्व रेबीज दिवस के अवसर पर कल राजधानी के पांच स्थानों पर पालतू और आवारा कुत्तों के लिए निशुल्क रेबीज टीकाकरण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया जायेगा। निगम का पशु चिकित्सा विज्ञान और दिल्ली के पशु पालन विभाग, संयुक्त रूप से इस टीकाकरण कार्यक्रम को आयोजित करेंगे। निगम ने बताया कि दिल्ली के मयूर विहार, मालवीय नगर, नंगली, द्वारका सेक्टर-17 और डी सी चौक रोहिणी सेक्टर-9 क्षेत्रों में कुत्तों को रेबीज का निशुल्क टीकाकरण किया जायेगा।

महाराष्ट्र में मां दुर्गा और उनके नौ अवतारों को समर्पित शारदीय नवरात्र उत्सव शुरू हो गये हैं। राज्य में कोल्हापुर का देवी महालक्ष्मी मंदिर, तुलजापु में देवी तुलजा भवानी मंदिर, माहूर में देवी रेणुका मंदिर और वाणी के सप्तश्रृंगी मंदिर शक्तिपीठों में शामिल हैं। इन सभी मंदिरों में कल नवरात्रि का पहले दिन कलश और घटस्थापना की गई।

पश्चिम बंगाल पंचायत विभाग दुर्गा पूजा उत्सव पर विशेष रूप से ध्यान दे रही है। विभाग प्लास्टिक मुक्त ग्रामीण क्षेत्र बनाने की ओर अग्रसर है। इसके अलावा जिला प्रशासन से भी कहा गया है वे सुनिश्चित करें कि आगंतुक मास्क के साथ पंडालों में प्रवेश करें। पर्यावरण के प्रदूषण को रोकने के लिए पंडालों को प्लास्टिक मुक्त और स्वच्छ रखने के लिए कहा गया है।

मुम्बई में दोपहर या शाम को गरज के साथ बारिश हो सकती है। तापमान 25 और 30 डिग्री सेल्सियस के बीच रहेगा।

कोलकाता में आंशिक रूप से बादल छाए रहने और सामान्य बारिश की सम्भावना है।

न्यूतम तापमान 27 और अधिकतम तापमन 33 डिग्री सेल्सियस के आसपास रहेगा।

यश राज चोपड़ा जन्म: 27 सितम्बर, 1932; मृत्यु: 21 अक्टूबर, 2012) भारतीय हिन्दी सिनेमा के प्रसिद्ध फ़िल्म निर्देशक, पटकथा लेखक एवं फ़िल्म निर्माता हैं। यश चोपड़ा को हिन्दी सिनेमा का “किंग ऑफ रोमांस” कहा जाता है। दीवार, कभी कभी, डर, चांदनी, सिलसिला, दिल तो पागल है, वीर जारा जैसी अनेकों बेहतरीन और रोमांटिक फ़िल्में बनाने वाले यश चोपड़ा ने पर्दे पर रोमांस और प्यार को नए मायने दिए हैं।

यश चोपड़ा को अब तक 11 बार फ़िल्म फेयर पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया है। उन्हें 1964 में प्रदर्शित फ़िल्म 'वक्त' के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ निर्देशक के लिए फ़िल्म फेयर पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। इसके बाद वह 1969 में फ़िल्म 'इत्तेफाक' सर्वश्रेष्ठ निर्देशक।

Nagesh (born Cheyur Krishnarao Nageshwaran; (27 September 1933 - 31 January 2009) was an Indian actor, mostly remembered for his roles as a comedian in Tamil films during the 1960s. Nagesh was born in Dharapuram. He acted in over 1,000 films from 1958 to 2008, performing in a variety of roles as comedian, lead roles, supporting actor and antagonist. He has also acted in Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada films. Nagesh's style of comedy was largely inspired by Hollywood actor Jerry Lewis. Similarities between Nagesh and Lewis earned Nagesh the sobriquet the "Jerry Lewis of India". He was also nicknamed as the King of Comedy due to his impeccable comedy timing and body language. He featured regularly in the film projects of M. G. Ramachandran and Sivaji Ganesan even at a time when there was a massive rift between the two leading actors in Tamil cinema at that time.

He has a unique distinction of sharing screen space with lead actors belonging to three generations of Tamil film industry starring with MGR and Sivaji Ganesan in 1960s; Kamal Haasan and Rajnikanth in 1980s: Vijay and Ajith in late 1990s.

He was also a fantastic dancer. The song "Kanni Nathiyoram" in the movie Neerkumizhi shows some of his comic dance skills.

Nagesh acted in a few movies during this period, however as his talent was still the same, most of them were hits - Kalyanan Oorvalam, Anbe Aayure, Engalukkum Kadhal Varum, Thiruvarul, Pattampoochi, Payanam, Maharasi Vazhga, Dr. Siva, Dheepam, Ilaya Thalaimurai, Murugan Adimai and Nee Vazha Vendum. One of his notable roles was a drunkard in the 1974 Kamal Hassan-starrer Apoorva Raagangal, where he talks to his own shadow and hurls the empty glass upon it while saying "Cheers". In the theatres where the film was shown the audience imitated him and threw cups on the wall of the lobby during interval. He played writer Jayakanthan in the 1977 movie Sila Nerangalil Sila Manitharkal.

राजा राममोहन राय

राजा राममोहन राय जन्म: 22 मई, 1772; मृत्यु: 27 सितम्बर, 1833) को 'आधुनिक भारतीय समाज का जन्मदाता' कहा जाता है। वे ब्रह्म समाज के संस्थापक, भारतीय भाषायी प्रेस के प्रवर्तक, जनजागरण और सामाजिक सुधार आंदोलन के प्रणेता तथा बंगाल में नव-जागरण युग के पितामह थे। धार्मिक और सामाजिक विकास के क्षेत्र में राजा राममोहन राय का नाम सबसे अग्रणी है।

Shobha Gurtu (1925-2004) was an Indian singer in the light Hindustani classical style. Though she had equal command over pure classical style, it was with light classical music that she received her fame, and in time came to be known as the Thumri Queen and for the 'Abhinaya' sung in her full-throated voice. Bhanumati Shirodkar was born in Belgaum, (present Karnataka) in 1925, where she was first trained by her mother Menekabai Shirodkar, a professional dancer, and a 'gayaki' disciple of Ustad Alladiya Khan of the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana.

महेंद्र कपूर

बॉलीवुड में महेंद्र कपूर का नाम एक ऐसे पार्श्वगायक के तौर पर याद किया जाता है, जिन्होंने लगभग पांच दशक तक अपने रूमानी गीतों से श्रोताओं को मंत्रमुग्ध किया। महेंद्र कपूर का जन्म 09 जनवरी 1934 को अमृतसर में हुआ था। बचपन के दिनों से ही महेंद्र कपूर का रूझान संगीत की ओर था। महेंद्र कपूर ने संगीत की प्रारंभिक शिक्षा हुस्नलाल-भगतराम, उस्ताद नियाज अहमद खान, उस्ताद अब्दुल रहमान खान और पंडित तुलसीदास शर्मा से हासिल की। 1967 में प्रदर्शित फिल्म उपकार के गीत “मेरे देश की धरती सोना उगले” के लिए महेंद्र कपूर को सर्वश्रेष्ठ पार्श्वगायक का राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार दिया गया। वर्ष 1972 को महेन्द्र कपूर पद्मश्री सम्मान सम्मानित किये गये। महेंद्र कपूर को तीन बार सर्वश्रेष्ठ पार्श्वगायक का फिल्म फेयर पुरस्कार दिया गया।
