आज हिरोशिमा दिवस हैं यानि हिरोशिमा दिवस '6 अगस्त' को कहा जाता है। अमेरिका ने 6 अगस्त, 1945 के दिन जापान के हिरोशिमा नगर पर ‘लिटिल बॉय’ नामक यूरेनियम बम गिराया था। इस बम के प्रभाव से 13 वर्ग कि.मी. में तबाही मच गयी थी। हिरोशिमा की 3.5 लाख की आबादी में से एक लाख चालीस हज़ार लोग एक झटके में ही मारे गए। ये सब सैनिक नहीं थे। इनमें से अधिकांश साधारण नागरिक, बच्चे, बूढ़े तथा स्त्रियाँ थीं। इसके बाद भी अनेक वर्षों तक अनगिनत लोग विकिरण के प्रभाव से मरते रहे। अमरीका इतने पर ही नहीं रुका। उसे एक अन्य प्रकार के बम के प्रभावों को अभी और आज़माना था। इसलिए इस अमानवीय विनाश के तीन दिन बाद ही 9 अगस्त को ‘फ़ैट मैन’ नामक प्लूटोनियम बम नागासाकी पर गिराया गया, जिसमें अनुमानित 74 हज़ार लोग विस्फोट व गर्मी के कारण मारे गए। इनमें भी अधिकांश निरीह नागरिक थे। तो इसी प्रारंभिक जानकारी के साथ सुबह सवेरे सात बजकर तीस मिनट पर न्यूज़ मैगज़ीन प्रोग्राम आज सवेरे लेकर आ पहुंचे हैं श्रोताओं के अपने रवि कपूर और प्रशांत कुमार सिन्‍हा स्वीकार कीजिये हम दोनों का नमस्कार।

देश के नए उपराष्‍ट्रपति के चुनाव के लिए आज मतदान होगा। मतदान संसद भवन में सुबह दस बजे से शाम पांच बजे तक चलेगा। श्री जगदीप धनकड़ उपराष्‍ट्रपति पद के लिये राष्‍ट्रीय जनतांत्रिक गठबंधन-एनडीए के उम्‍मीदवार हैं, जबकि सुश्री मार्गरेट अल्‍वा विपक्ष की उम्‍मीदवार हैं।

Over one Lakh 20 thousand Health and Wellness Centres are functioning in the country under the Ayushman Bharat programme by the end of June this year. Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya informed this in a written reply in the Lok Sabha yesterday. He said, the government is supporting the States and Union Territories for transforming about one lakh 50 thousand Sub-Health Centres and rural and urban Primary Health Centres across the country as Ayushman Bharat - Health and Wellness Centres (AB-HWCs) by the end of this year. The Minister said, the government is making all efforts to provide Comprehensive Primary Health Care including prevention and health promotion at the community level with continuum of care. Dr Mandaviya said, the government is committed for achieving preventive, curative, palliative and rehabilitative aspects of Universal Health Coverage to provide Comprehensive Primary Health Care.

Dr Mansukh Mandaviya has said, the government has set a target to increase the Health budget of the country to 2.5 per cent of the GDP, which is currently at 1.9 per cent. Giving details about the allocations made in the Health budget, he said, in 2014 the total health budget was to the tune of 33 thousand crore rupees which was increased continuously and now it has reached 83 thousand crore rupees in 2022-23.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी कल नई दिल्ली में राष्‍ट्रपति भवन सांस्‍कृतिक केन्‍द्र में नीति आयोग की शासी परिषद की बैठक की अध्‍यक्षता करेंगे। बैठक में केंद्र तथा राज्‍यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के बीच सहयोग- समन्‍वय बढ़ाने पर विचार-विमर्श होगा। फसल विविध‍ीकरण तथा तिलहन, दलहन और अन्‍य कृषि उत्‍पादों में आत्‍मनिर्भरता प्राप्‍त करने, राष्‍ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति के कार्यान्‍वयन और शहरी प्रशासन का विषय भी बैठक के एजेंडे में शामिल है। शासी परिषद प्रत्येक विषय पर कार्य योजना और कार्रवाई योजना को अंतिम रूप देगी। बैठक की तैयारियों के सिलसिले में इस वर्ष जून में प्रधानमंत्री की अध्यक्षता में धर्मशाला में मुख्‍य सचिवों का राष्‍ट्रीय सम्‍मेलन हुआ था। हमारे संवाददाता ने बताया कि कोविड महामारी के बाद देश के अमृत काल में प्रवेश करने और अगले वर्ष भारत के जी-20 समूह की अध्यक्षता ग्रहण करने और उसकी मेजबानी में जी-20 शिखर सम्‍मेलन को देखते हुए कल की बैठक बहुत महत्‍वपूर्ण मानी जा रही है।

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has constituted an expert group of Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) to boost overseas flows into the country. The FPI Advisory Committee (FAC) will be chaired by former Chief Economic Adviser KV Subramanian and consists of 14 other members representing foreign banks, stock exchanges depositories and RBI. The FAC has been tasked with advising on issues related to investments and operations of FPIs in the financial markets, including measures to facilitate ease of doing business by FPIs in India. The committee will review investment avenues available for FPIs and to advise on feasibility of new investment avenues.

गजापट्टी में कल इस्राइल के हवाई हमले में फलीस्तीनी आतंकी गुट के कमांडर सहित दस लोग मारे गए। स्‍थानीय स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य अधिकारियों के अनुसार हवाई हमले में कई लोग घायल हुए हैं। इस्राइल के प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि इस सप्‍ताह फलीस्‍तीनी इस्‍लामी जिहाद गुट के एक सदस्‍य की गिरफ्तारी पर गुट की धमकी के बाद हवाई हमले किए गए। फलीस्‍तीनी गुट ने जवाबी कार्रवाई में इस्राइल पर सौ अधिक रॉकेट दागे हैं।

A special PMLA court in Kolkata has sent former West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee and his associate Arpita Mukherjee to 14-day judicial remand till August 18 in connection with in SSC recruitment scam. Both the accused had been in Enforcement Directorate's custody since their arrest on July 23. The ED is investigating into the money trail in connection with illegal appointments of teaching and non-teaching staff in West Bengal government sponsored and aided schools. The ED has recovered about 50 crore rupees in cash, a huge quantity of jewellery and gold bars from flats owned by Arpita Mukherjee, besides documents of properties held by the two accused.

राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों में बजरंग पुनिया, दीपक पुनिया और साक्षी मलिक ने भारत के लिए कुश्ती में स्वर्ण पदक जीते हैं। पुरूषों की फ्री-स्टाइल कुश्ती के 65 किलोग्राम भार वर्ग में बजरंग पुनिया ने कनाडा के लैचलन मैकनिल को 9-2 से हराया। जबकि दीपक पुनिया ने पाकिस्तान के मोहम्मद ईनाम को 86 किलोग्राम वर्ग में तीन-शून्य से हराया। 125 किलोग्राम भार वर्ग में मोहित ग्रेवाल ने जमैका के आरॉन जॉनसन को हराकर कांस्य पदक जीता। महिलाओं की फ्री-स्टाइल कुश्ती के 62 किलोग्राम भार वर्ग में साक्षी मलिक ने स्वर्ण और 57 किलोग्राम भार वर्ग में अंशु मलिक ने रजत पदक जीता। दिव्या काकरण ने 68 किलोग्राम वर्ग में कांस्य पदक हासिल किया है। लॉन बॉउल्स में भारत ने इंग्लैंड को 13-12 से पराजित कर पुरूषों के फोर्स फाइनल में प्रवेश कर लिया है। एथलेटिक्स में भारत ने पुरूषों की 16 सौ मीटर रिले दौड़ में तीन मिनट 25 मिली सेकण्ड का नया एशियाई रिकार्ड स्थापित किया है और फाइनल में अपनी जगह बना ली है। भारतीय धावक हिमा दास महिलाओं की 200 मीटर फाइनल दौड़ में प्रवेश नहीं पा सकी। टेबल टेनिस के महिला सिंगल्स क्वार्टर फाइनल में श्रीजा आकुला कनाडा की मो झांग को चार-तीन से हराकर सेमीफाइनल में पहुंच गई हैं। जबकि मानिका बत्रा ने महिलाओं के सिंगल्स क्वार्टर फाइनल में जगह बना ली है। पुरूष युगल क्वार्टर फाइनल में भारत के अचंत शरत कमल और सथियां ज्ञानशेखरन की जोड़ी ने सेमीफाइनल में प्रवेश कर लिया है। मिश्रित युगल में अचंत शरत कमल और श्रीजा आकुला की जोड़ी ने इंग्लैंड की टीम को 3-2 से पराजित कर सेमीफाइनल में जगह बना ली है। बैडमिंटन के पुरूष एकल क्वार्टर फाइनल में किदाम्बी श्रीकांत ने श्रीलंका के दुमिन्दु अबयविक्रमा को जबकि लक्ष्य सेन ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया के यिंग शियांग लिन को पराजित कर क्वार्टर फाइनल में प्रवेश कर लिया। पैरा टेबल-टेनिस के महिला एकल फाइनल में भाविना बेन पटेल ने अपनी जगह पक्की कर ली है। महिला हॉकी सेमीफाइनल में भारतीय टीम ऑस्ट्रेलिया से शून्य-तीन से हार गयी और अब कांस्य पदक के लिए उसका मुकाबला न्यूजीलैंड से होगा।

India lifted the SAFF U-20 football championship trophy by defeating Bangladesh 5-2 goals in the final at Kalinga stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha last night. Four goals from Gurkirat Singh and a lone goal from Himanshu Jhangra ensured Indian Team a worthy comeback in the final match which had gone to extra-time. India won this championship for the second consecutive time.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has informed  that the Common University Entrance Test, CUET-UG scheduled for today has been postponed at 53 centres across 13 states due to administrative and technical reasons. The NTA in a statement said, the postponed exam will now be held between 12th and 14th August and the same Admit Card will remain valid. The affected candidates have already been infomed about the postponement of exam through SMS and E-mail.

The NTA said, in case the resheduled date is not suitable, the candidates can send an email to datechange@nta.ac.in mentioning their desired date adn roll number.

The candidates are also advised to  keep visiting  NTA website for the latest updates regarding the examination.

The centres where the exam has been postponed include  Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh, Nalbari in Assam, Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, New Delhi, Ambala and Gurugram in Haryana, Bokaro, Jamshedpur and Ramgarh in Jharkhand, Leh in Union Territory of Ladakh,  Aurangabad in Maharashtra, Aizawl in Mizoram, Dindigul in Tamil Nadu, Gonda, Noida and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, Hooghly in West Bengal and Bhubhneshwar in Odisha.

National Testing Agency is conducting Common University Entrance Test CUET (UG) - 2022 from 15th July to 20th August at 489 Examination Centres located in approximately 259 cities across India and 9 cities outside India.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras is partnering with the National Institute of Siddha(NIS), a centre of excellence for research and higher education in Siddha system of medicine, for the development of new collaborative teaching programs and research in the areas of clinical research, molecular biology and in vitro cell line studies and health system research. An MOU was signed for this by IIT Madras Director V.Kamakoti, and Dr.R.  Meenakumari, Director,NIS and under this, both institutes will jointly organise seminars, workshops, education programs among other schemes.

The Greater Chennai Corporation has marked Marina, Besant  Nagar,Thiruvanmiyur beaches as no plastic zones. The housing department recently launched the initiative at a cost of Rs. 100 crore. The Corporation has said anti plastic raids will be held on the beaches by the health officers of the respective zones every morning and evening. The Corporation raided 6478 shops and seized 1861 kilograms of banned plastic items and collected a penalty of Rupees nine lakh seventeen thousand rupees.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has given a call to build an Atma Nirbhar Bharat by empowering weavers who produce handlooms within the country. He was speaking after inaugurating the eighth National Handloom Day celebrations in Bengaluru yesterday. Saying that Handloom is a symbol of self-reliance, the Chief Minister pointed out that Mahatma Gandhi fought against the textile mills of Britain by giving a call to Indians to weave their own clothes. He informed that the State and Union Government have introduced schemes for the weavers and the countrymen should come forward to purchase products produced by Indian handloom weavers. He added that the Stree Shakti groups will be encouraged to take up weaving with the help of seed money and training by Canara Bank.

The Karnataka minister for IT, BT, Science and Technology Dr. C N Aswathnarayana laid the foundation stone for the office of Centre for Human Genetics in Helix park situated at Electronics City in Bengaluru. The project spread over 40 thousand square feet will have a Rare Diseases Research and Training Centre with a facility to annually treat 2500 patients with rare hereditary diseases and those related to genetic enigmas. It will also have a Counselling facility, Genome sequencing facility and an advanced lab. The Centre will train personnel in prenatal care and methods to test and treat genetic diseases.

Chief Justice of India, Justice N.V. Ramana has said sustaining diversity assumes greater significance when the global culture is emerging as a threat to local culture and identities. Addressing the 82nd convocation of Osmania University in Hyderabad last evening, Justice Ramana observed that driven by the winds of globalisation, people are moving towards global culture. Stating that the social media, television and others glamourised a particular way of life and people are following the same blindly, he said instead of celebrating our distinct heritage and culture, we are allowing our rich identities to be blurred. The Chief Justice of India observed that despite significant achievements, our societies are becoming increasingly divided over access to wealth and resources.

अब नजर डालते है राजधानी दिल्ली, मुम्‍बई और कोलकाता के समाचारों पर ।

दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने देशवासियों से अपील की है कि वे आजादी की 75वीं वर्षगांठ के अवसर पर 14 अगस्त को शाम पांच बजे हाथ में तिरंगा लेकर पूरी देशभक्ति के साथ राष्ट्रगान गाएं। उन्होंने कहा कि, इस दौरान सब मिलकर राष्ट्रगान गाएंगे और तिरंगा फहराएंगे। मुख्यमंत्री ने बताया कि 14 अगस्त को राजधानी में लगभग सौ स्थानों पर तिरंगा कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये जायेंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि राजधानी के लोगों को सरकार 25 लाख तिरंगे बांटेगी। श्री केजरीवाल ने कहा कि 14 अगस्त को वह भी हाथ में तिरंगा लेकर जनता के साथ राष्ट्रगान गायेंगे। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि आजादी के 75वें सालगिरह पर देशवासियों को प्रण करना है कि सभी मिलकर भारत को दुनिया का नंबर वन राष्ट्र बनाएंगे।

भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष आदेश गुप्ता के नेतृत्व में आज राजधानी में भाजपा युवा मोर्चा द्वारा 75 किलोमीटर लंबी बाइक रैली निकाली जाएगी। प्रदेश युवा मोर्चा के अध्यक्ष वासु रुखड़ ने बताया कि यह बाईक हर घर तिरंगा अभियान के अंतर्गत निकाली जायेगी जो प्रदेश भाजपा कार्यालय से शुरू होकर धौला कुंआ, नेताजी सुभाष पैलेस, आज़ादपुर और आईटीओ के रास्ते इंडिया गेट पर खत्म होगी। उन्होंने बताया कि इंडिया गेट पर 75 मीटर लंबा तिरंगा भी फहराया जाएगा। इस बाइक रैली में कई केंद्रीय और राज्य मंत्री शामिल होंगे।

दिल्ली विधानसभा में नेता प्रतिपक्ष रामवीर सिंह बिधूड़ी ने राजधानी के स्कूलों में बने कमरों की क्वालिटी को लेकर सीबीआई जांच कराने की मांग की है। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया है कि सरकार के भ्रष्टाचार की सीमा चरम पर पहुंच गई है। श्री बिधू़ड़ी ने कहा कि शिक्षा और लोक निर्माण विभाग, दोनों ही उप-मुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया के पास हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि इस मामले को लेकर श्री सिसोदिया से प्रश्न किया जाना चाहिए।

भारतीय प्रतिभूति और विनिमय बोर्ड- सेबी ने विदेशी पोर्टफोलियो निवेशकों की सुगमता के लिए एक स्थायी समिति गठित की है। केन्द्र सरकार के पूर्व मुख्य आर्थिक सलाहकार के वी सुब्रमण्यम इस समिति के अध्यक्ष होंगे। समिति विदेशी पोर्टफोलियो निवेशकों के व्यापार सुगमता के उपाय और भारतीय वित्तीय बाजारों में उनके निवेश और संचालन से संबंधित मुद्दों पर सेबी को अपनी सिफारिशें और सलाह देगी।

पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार ने डेंगू के खतरे को रोकने के लिए कई उपाय अपनाने का निर्देश दिया है। मुख्य सचिव हरिकृष्ण द्विवेदी ने आज नबन्ना में स्वास्थ्य विभाग के अधिकारियों, सचिव, जिला सीएमओ, सुपर्स और डीएम के साथ समीक्षा बैठक की। जिन जिलों में डेंगू का पता चला है, उन्होंने वहां नहरों और तालाबों की तत्काल सफाई के निर्देश दिए हैं।

Hyderabad will have generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. The minimum temperature was 23 degree celsius and maximum will be 30 degrees.

⦁ 1920--Film Censor Board at Bombay started working. The first film censored and granted a Censor Certificate No. 1 was a short film of 600 ft., produced by Gaumont Company and it was titled as 'Gaumont Graphic No. 963-964'.

⦁ 1932-- Ramsay McDonald came out with his 'Communal Award' to fix seats for the various communities in the provincial legislatures.

⦁ 1965--Jaya Prakash Narayan was awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award for public service.

तो पुण्यतिथियों में आज सबसे पहला नाम है एस. के. पोट्टेक्काट्ट का जिनका पूरा नाम: था शंकरन कुट्टी पोट्टेक्काट्ट।, आपका जन्म: 14 मार्च, 1913 और निधन 6 अगस्त, 1982 को हुआ था। आप मलयालम भाषा के प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार थे। भारतीय ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार विजेता मलयालम उपन्यासकर पोट्टेक्काट्ट, इंदोनेसिया बालिद्वीप तथा अफ्रीका के प्रवासवर्णन, ‘विषकन्या’ नामक कहानी संग्रह और ‘ओरु तेरर्शवंटे कथा’ आदि तथा केरल अकादमी और ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार प्राप्त रचनाओं के लिए प्रसिद्ध थे। ये 1962 में लोकसभा के सदस्य भी चुने गए थे। 1971 में केरल साहित्य अकादमी के वे सभापति मनोनीत किए गए थे। अपने प्रगतिवादी विचारों के कारण वे सोवियत रूस की भी यात्रा कर चुके थे। वहाँ उनकी कई रचनाओं के अनुवाद भी हुए।

Today is the death anniversary of freedom fighter Surendranath Banerjee. He founded the Indian National Association and was one of the founding members of the Indian National Congress however he leter left the Congress and founded a new organisation named Indian National Liberation Federation in 1919.

अब जानकारी देते हैं असम के गोलघाट के एक प्रसिद्ध वन्यजीव विशेषज्ञ, पर्यावरणविद्, चित्रकार, फोटोग्राफर और दस्तावेजी फिल्म निर्माता रॉबिन बनर्जी की जिनका जन्म- 12 अगस्त, 1908; और निधन 6 अगस्त, 2003 को हुआ था। उन्होंने वाइल्ड-लाइफ को बचाने और सहेजने के लिए खुद को इस तरह से समर्पित कर दिया था कि अपने मेडिकल प्रोफेशन को बिल्कुल ही छोड़ दिया। प्रकृति और पर्यावरण के प्रति रॉबिन बनर्जी के इसी समर्पण के लिए उन्हें 1971 में ‘पद्म श्री’ से नवाज़ा गया। उन्हें अपनी वाइल्ड-लाइफ फिल्मों के लिए 14 अंतरराष्ट्रीय पुरस्कारों से सम्‍मानित किया गया था। रॉबिन बनर्जी ने कुल 32 डॉक्यूमेंट्री बनायीं, जिनमें काज़ीरंगा, वाइल्ड लाइफ ऑफ़ इंडिया, ड्रैगन्स ऑफ़ कॉमोडो आइलैंड, द अंडरवॉटर वर्ल्ड ऑफ शार्क्स, राइनो कैप्चर, ए डे एट ज़ू, वाइट विंग्स इन स्लो मोशन, मॉनसून, द वर्ल्ड ऑफ़ फ्लेमिंगो जैसी डॉक्यूमेंट्रीज़ शामिल हैं।

Today is the birth anniversary of Scottish physician and microbiologist, Alexander Fleming. Best known for discovering the world's first broadly effective described as the "single greatest victory ever achieved over disease."

He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1945. He was knighted for his scientific achievements in 1944 and in 1999, he was named in Time magazine's list of the 100 Most Important People of the 20th century.

और अब हम बात करेंगे उमेश मेहरा की जो बॉलीवुड के भारतीय फिल्म निर्देशक और निर्माता हैं और जिनका आज जन्‍मदिन है। 1980 और 1990 के दशक में वह कई मिथुन चक्रवर्ती के साथ फिल्म करने के लिये प्रख्यात हैं, जैसे अशान्ति (1982), मुज़रिम (1989), गुरु (1989) और यार गद्दार (1994)। उन्होंने खिलाड़ी श्रृंखला में अक्षय कुमार की तीन फिल्मों को निर्देशित किया: सबसे बड़ा खिलाड़ी (1995) खिलाड़ियों का खिलाड़ी (1996) और इन्टरनेशनल खिलाड़ी (1999)।

In 1998 he directed the veteran actor Dilip Kumar in Qila which was Kumar's last film. Mehra's last film as director was 2002's Yeh Mohabbat Hai.

आज ही अभिषेक कपूर का भी जन्‍मदिन है। अभिषेक कपूर एक भारतीय अभिनेता, लेखक और फिल्म निर्देशक हैं। अभिषेक कपूर ने अपने फिल्मीं करियर की शुरुआत बतौर अभिनेता फिल्म उफ्फ! ये मोहब्बत से की थी। इस फिल्म में उनके अपोजिट ट्विंकल खन्ना नज़र आयीं थी। हालंकि उनकी पहली फिल्म बॉक्स-ऑफिस पर कुछ कमाल ना दिखा सकी। इसके बाद उन्होंने 2006 में फिल्म आर्यन से हिंदी सिनेमा में बतौर निर्देशक डेब्यू किया।

In 2008, he wrote and directed Rock On!! an Indian Rock musical film starring Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal that won the "National Award for Best Hindi Film" for outstanding artistic contribution towards cinema. The film went on to become a major success, bringing not just accolades but also a Filmfare Award in 2009.

In 2013, his film "Kai Po Che" (2013) based on Chetan Bhagat's novel, 'The 3 Mistakes of my Life' had its world premiere at the 63rd Berlin Film Festival's World Panorama segment and won the Filmfare Award in 2014 for Best Screenplay.

अब हम अपने श्रोताओं को जानकारी देंगे भारत के प्रसिद्ध पर्यावरण कार्यकर्ता राजेन्द्र सिंह के बारे में जिनका आज जन्‍मदिन है। उनका जन्म- 6 अगस्त, 1959, बागपत ज़िला, उत्तर प्रदेश में हुआ था। वे जल संरक्षण के क्षेत्र में कार्य करने के लिए प्रसिद्ध हैं। राजस्थान का अलवर ज़िला शुरू से एक सूखा इलाका माना जाता रहा है, जहाँ पानी एक दुर्लभ वस्तु मानी जाती थी। उस दौर में पानी के जलाशय बनाकर उनमें वर्षा का पानी इकट्ठा करके उन्हें सुरक्षित रखना एक पारम्परिक तरीका था, जिससे पानी की कठिनाई को दूर किया जाता था। इन जलाशयों को 'जोहड़' कहा जाता था।
