प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी मंगलवार को जापान के तोक्यो में क्वाड नेताओँ के शिखर सम्मेलन में शामिल होंगे। अमरीका के राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडेन, ऑस्ट्रेलिया के प्रधानमंत्री स्कॉट मॉरिसन और जापान के प्रधानमंत्री फुमियो किशिदा भी सम्मेलन में भाग लेंगे। विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता अरिंदम बागची ने कल नई दिल्ली में बताया कि सम्मेलन में क्‍वाड नेता हिंद-प्रशांत क्षेत्र में विकास और आपसी हित और मौजूदा वैश्विक मुद्दों के बारे में विचार-विमर्श करेंगे। श्री बागची ने बताया कि प्रधानमंत्री मोदी जापान के प्रधानमंत्री, अमरीका के राष्ट्रपति और ऑस्‍ट्रेलिया के प्रधानमंत्री के साथ द्विपक्षीय बैठक भी करेंगे।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the meeting of national office bearers of Bharatiya Janata Party to be held in Jaipur today through video conferencing. He will also address the party delegates on this occasion. Party President JP Nadda reached Jaipur yesterday evening for the meeting. Apart from Mr Nadda, many other representatives have also reached the state capital. National Vice President, National General Secretary, National Secretary, National Treasurer, Presidents of all Morchas, State Presidents of all States, State Organization Secretaries and many former Chief Ministers will attend this meeting. It will be followed by a meeting of State Organization Secretaries of all the states on Saturday.

राष्ट्रपति राम नाथ कोविंद ने कैरेबियन राष्ट्र सेंट विंसेंट एंड ग्रेनेडिनेस के अपने दौरे के दूसरे दिन कल वहां के गवर्नर जनरल डेम सुजेन डॉगन से मुलाकात की। दोनों नेताओं ने सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी, स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा, पर्यटन और संस्कृति सहित विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में आपसी सहयोग मजबूत करने पर चर्चा की। दोनों पक्षों ने कर संग्रह से संबंधित सूचनाओं के आदान-प्रदान और सहयोग तथा प्राचीन कालडेर समुदाय के उन्नयन की परियोजना के लिए सहमति पत्र पर भी हस्ताक्षर किए। राष्ट्रपति कोविंद जैविक उद्यान भी गए, जहां उन्होंने चंदन का पौधा लगाया और सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों में शामिल हुए। बाद में राष्ट्रपति कोविंद ने सेंट विंसेंट एंड ग्रेनेडिनेस की संसद को संबोधित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्तमान परिदृश्य में जटिल मुद्दों से निपटने के लिए जो नई वैश्विक व्यवस्था बनाने की आवश्यकता है वह समावेशी होनी चाहिए, जिसमें सभी देशों को अपने वैधानिक हितों के बारे में बोलने का अवसर मिले। श्री कोविंद ने कहा कि समय की मांग है कि वैश्विक संस्थाओं में सुधार हो, ताकि वे सामयिक वैश्विक सच्चाइयों को व्यक्त कर सकें। संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद उनमें प्रमुख है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि इस मुद्दे पर भारत और सेंट विंसेंट एंड ग्रेनेडिनेस के हित समान हैं, उनका दृष्टिकोण और समझदारी भी एक जैसी है।

Reserve Bank of India has directed banks and ATM operators to provide cardless cash withdrawal facility at all ATMs. In a circular, the RBI said, all banks, automated teller machine (ATM) networks and White Label ATM Operators (WLAOs) may provide the option of ICCW at their ATMs. The apex bank informed that the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has been advised to facilitate Unified Payments Interface (UPI) integration with all banks and ATM networks. The RBI said, while UPI would be used for customer authorisation in such transactions, settlement would be through the National Financial Switch (NFS) and ATM networks. The on-us and off-us ICCW transactions shall be processed without levy of any charges other than those prescribed under the circular on Interchange Fee and Customer Charges, it added. According to the RBI, withdrawal limits for ICCW transactions shall be in-line with the limits for regular on-us and off us ATM withdrawals.  In a bid to check fraud, RBI last month said, it has been decided to permit all banks to introduce card-less cash withdrawal through ATMs. According to the central bank, currently card-less cash withdrawal through ATMs is offered by a few banks.

In flood hit Assam, 80 thousand displaced people are taking shelter at relief camps in several districts. Surging water washed away roads, bridges, culverts causing massive problems in road communications. Official sources said, essential food items are being airdropped at worst affected Barak valley and Dima Hasao district. Over seven thousand people evacuated by various agencies yesterday. The Health department deployed 50 medical teams at relief camps. UNICEF is also to deploy seven medical teams in the flood affected districts to help the administration. Two senior ministers Parimal Suklbaidya and Ashok Singhal are camping at Barak valley to monitor the situation. Waterlogging at Guwahati city also caused problems for citizens.

सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री अनुराग ठाकुर और बंगलादेश के सूचना मंत्री डॉ. हसन महमूद ने मिलकर भारत और बांगलादेश द्वारा बंगबंधु शेख मुजीबुर्रहमान पर संयुक्त रूप से बनाई गई फीचर फिल्म का 90 सेकेंड का ट्रेलर जारी किया। श्याम बेनेगल के निर्देशन में बनी इस फिल्म का नाम मुजीब- द मेकिंग ऑफ द नेशन है। इस अवसर पर श्री अनुराग ठाकुर ने कहा कि भारत और बांगलादेश की ओर से संयुक्त रूप से निर्मित यह फिल्म प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की पहल पर बनी है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह बंगबंधु शेख मुजीबुर्रहमान की जन्म शताब्दी पर एक उपहार है।

Indian boxer Nikhat Zareen clinched the gold medal at the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships after registering a dominating 5-0 victory in Istanbul yesterday. Nikhat thrashed Thailand’s Jitpong Jutamas without breaking a sweat in the 52kg final with judges scoring the bout 30-27, 29-28, 29-28, 30-27, 29-28 in the Indian’s favour. Nikhat became the only fifth Indian woman to secure gold medal at the World Boxing Championships after record six-time champion Mary Kom, Sarita Devi, Jenny RL and Lekha KC. It was also India’s first gold medal since boxing great Mary Kom won it in 2018. Apart from Nikhat, two Indian boxers Manisha Moun in 57 kg and Parveen Hooda in 63 kg category signed off with bronze medals after their semi-finals finish in the championships.

In IPL Cricket, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Gujarat Titans by eight wickets in their final league match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai last night to keep play-off hopes alive. Batting first after winning the toss, Gujarat posted 168 for five in the stipulated 20 overs with the help of Skipper Hardik Pandya's unbeaten 62 runs and David Miller's 34. For Bangalore, Josh Hazlewood scalped two wickets. In reply, Bangalore overhauled the target for loss of two wickets in 18.4 overs riding on Virat Kohli's 73, captain Faf du Plessis' 44 runs and Glenn Maxwell's 40 not out runs. For Gujarat, Rashid Khan picked up two wickets. Today, Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings will lock horns with each other in their last group stage match at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai at 7:30 p.m.

In Tamil Nadu, a flood alert has been issued in five northern districts that are situated along the River Tenpennaiyaar (तेनपेन्नेयार). The catchment areas of the Krishnagiri (कृष्णगिरी) Dam is witnessing continuous rain for the past many days. It has led the Krishnagiri Dam brimming to the full, as the water level has almost reached its maximum height of 52 feet. The surplus water is being let into the River Tenpennaiyaar, which crisscrosses four other districts like Dharmapuri (धर्मपुरि), Tiruvannamalai (तिरुवन्नामलई), Villupuram (विलुप्पुरम) and Cuddalore (कडलूर) besides Krishnagiri. The collectors of the districts have been asked to issue flood alerts to the people living in areas close to the river. Another dam in Krishnagiri district called Kelavarapalli (केलवरप्पल्ली) Reservoir is also fast reaching its full level. Meanwhile, heavy floods in the River Palar (पालार) in Tirupattur (तिरुप्पत्तूर) district adjoining Andhra Pradesh led to the collapse of a major causeway connecting two key towns of Ambur (आम्बूर) and Gudiyatham (गुडियाथ्थम) in the district.  The inflow into the Stanley Reservoir at Mettur (मेट्टूर) has also gone up significantly due to rain in the catchment areas of River Cauvery, leading to rise in the level of water. It has made the farmers in the Delta region happy.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has informed that storm water drains in Bengaluru are modernised at a cost of 1600 crore rupees to ensure free flow of rainwater. He visited rain affected residential places in Bengaluru yesterday. Speaking on the sidelines of this visit, the Chief Minister said that bottlenecks and silt will be removed from the drains to ensure smooth flow of water in the stormwater drains. The measures are taken to address the flooding problem in the city.  Secondary and tertiary drains will be constructed in wards along the stormwater drains and primary drains and the Sewage treatment plant capacity will be increased to 40 MLD. Bengaluru has been witnessing heavy downpours for a week. The Chief Minister said that 15 days of rainfall was witnessed in the last four to five days in Bengaluru, which is a record since the last 40 years.

Bengaluru South Member of Parliament and BJP Yuva Morcha National President Tejaswi Surya had organised free summer camps at seven locations in his constituency. Over 850 children aged between 10 and 16 years attended the camp that concluded yesterday. During the 15 days camp, the children were taught through physical and mental activities. They were exposed to a wide range of subjects like AI and coding, yoga, Bhagavad Gita, drawing, mobile planetarium, zumba, self defence techniques, magic and other such activities. Awareness was also created about environment conservation and biodiversity. They were also a part of activities related to science and technology.

Chief Passport Officer and Joint secretary in External Affairs Ministry, T. Armstrong Changsan has inaugurated an Integrated Public Grievance Redressal Centre and “Chat with Your RPO’’ facility at the Regional Passport Office in Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, the CPO said the Redressal Centre   aimed at making the process of grievance redressal hassle-free and in a time bound manner. Regional Passport Officer, D. Balaiah informed that the new service - Chat with Your Regional Passport Officer, will facilitate applicants to access redressal mechanism on whatsapp no 8121401532, every Tuesday through a video call  to get their grievances redressed. He further said the new service is to directly listen to the applicants and take timely steps to redress their grievances.

दक्षिणी दिल्‍ली निगम फैक्टरियों में आग की दुर्घटना को रोकने और जरूरी सुरक्षा उपायों को अपनाने के लिए सर्वे करा रहा है। निगम ने बताया कि सर्वे के दौरान विशेष रूप से औद्योगिक इकाइयों की जांच की जा रही है और यह सुनिश्चित किया जा रहा है कि उनके पास संबंधित एजेंसी के सभी आवश्यक प्रमाण पत्र हैं या नहीं। निगम के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि पिछले दिनों 161 फैक्टरियों का सर्वे किया गया, जिनमें सिर्फ 57 फैक्टरियों के पास ही वैध लाइसेंस थे। निगम ने कार्रवाई के अंतर्गत 57 फैक्ट्रियों को नोटिस जारी किये हैं।

दिल्ली विधानसभा में नेता प्रतिपक्ष रामवीर सिंह बिधूड़ी ने राजधानी में पीने के पानी के संकट पर चिंता व्यक्त की है। उन्होंने कहा है कि दिल्ली सरकार पानी की समस्या को सुलझाने के बजाय हरियाणा सरकार को दोष दे रही है, जबकि इसके लिए उसे सुप्रीम कोर्ट से पहले भी फटकार लग चुकी है।

महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने राज्य के पांच प्रमुख पर्यटन स्थलों पर मानक आवास उपलब्ध कराने के लिए निजी उद्योगपतियों के साथ समझौते पर कल हस्ताक्षर किए। विकास के बारे में जानकारी देते हुए, महाराष्ट्र के पर्यटन मंत्री आदित्य ठाकरे ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार निजी खिलाड़ियों के माध्यम से पर्यटन की दृष्टि से महाराष्ट्र के स्वामित्व वाले स्थानों को विकसित करने के प्रयास कर रही है। गुरुवार को महाबलेश्वर, माथेरान, हरिहरेश्वर, मितबाओ और ताडोबा में आवास सुविधाओं के लिए राज्य सरकार के साथ अनुबंध पर हस्ताक्षर करने वाले निजी खिलाड़ियों को रियायती समझौते दिए गए।

पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार एशियाई विकास बैंक (एडीबी) समर्थित 'सुधार कार्यक्रम' को लागू करने के लिए वित्त विभाग के तहत राजकोषीय नीति एवं सार्वजनिक वित्त केंद्र की स्थापना करेगी। राज्य के वित्त विभाग द्वारा हाल में जारी एक अधिसूचना में कहा गया कि इस केंद्र का मुख्य उद्देश्य बेहतर संसाधन जुटाने, सार्वजनिक व्यय को युक्तिसंगत बनाने और सार्वजनिक व्यय प्रबंधन, ऋण स्थिरता विश्लेषण, ऋण प्रबंधन और संबंधित विषयों में दक्षता बढ़ाने के लिए अनुसंधान और अध्ययन करना होगा।

Today is birth anniversary of Bipin Chandra a nationalist, writer, orator, social reformer and Indian independence movement freedom fighter. He was one third of the “Lal Bal Pal” triumvirate. Pal was one of the main architects of the Swadeshi movement along with Sri Aurobindo. He also opposed the partition of Bengal by the British colonial government. Pal is known as the Father of Revolutionary Thoughts in India of India. Pal became a major leader of the Indian National Congress. At the Madras session of Indian National Congress held in 1887, Bipin Chandra Pal made a strong plea for repeal of the Arms Act which was discriminatory in nature. Along with Lala Lajpat Rai and Bal Gangadhar Tilak he belonged to the Lal-Bal-Pal trio that was associated with revolutionary activity. Sri Aurobindo Ghosh and Pal were recognised as the chief exponents of a new national movement revolving around the ideals of Purna Swaraj, Swadeshi, boycott and national education.

सुमित्रानंदन पंत को ‘प्रकृति के सुकुमार कवि’ के रूप में भी जाना जाता है, उनका जन्म आज के उत्तराखण्ड के बागेश्वर ज़िले के कौसानी में 20 मई 1900 को हुआ। प्रयाग में उच्च शिक्षा के दौरान 1921 के असहयोग आंदोलन में महात्मा गाँधी के बहिष्कार के आह्वान पर उन्होंने महाविद्यालय छोड़ दिया और हिंदी, संस्कृत, बांग्ला और अँग्रेज़ी भाषा-साहित्य के स्वाध्याय में लग गए।  ‘युगांतर’, ‘स्वर्णकिरण’, ‘कला और बूढ़ा चाँद’, ‘सत्यकाम’, ‘मुक्ति यज्ञ’, ‘तारापथ’, ‘मानसी’, ‘युगवाणी’, ‘उत्तरा’, ‘रजतशिखर’, ‘शिल्पी’, ‘सौवर्ण’, ‘पतझड़’, ‘अवगुंठित’, ‘मेघनाद वध’ आदि उनके अन्य प्रमुख काव्य-संग्रह हैं। ‘चिदंबरा’ संग्रह का प्रकाशन 1958 में हुआ जिसमें 1937 से 1950 तक की रचनाओं का संचयन है। कविताओं के अतिरिक्त उन्होंने नाटक, उपन्यास, निबंध और अनुवाद में भी योगदान किया है।उन्हें 1960 में 'कला और बूढ़ा चाँद' काव्य-संग्रह के लिए साहित्य अकादेमी पुरस्कार से और 1968 में ‘चिदंबरा’ काव्य-संग्रह के लिए ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। भारत सरकार ने उन्हें पद्मभूषण से अलंकृत किया और उनपर डाक टिकट जारी किया है।  प्रस्तुत है शैलेंद्र कपिल की कविता-

He is considered one of the major poets of the Chhayavaadi school of Hindi literature. Pant mostly wrote in Sanskritized Hindi. Pant authored twenty-eight published works including poetry, verse plays and essays.Apart from Chhayavaadi poems, Pant also wrote progressive, socialist, humanist poems and[3] philosophical (influenced by Sri Aurobindo) poems. Pant eventually moved beyond this style. As the late scholar and translator of Pant, David Rubin, writes, "In the early forties the new psychological and experimental "schools" were emerging. It was typical of both Nirala and Pant that they themselves anticipated these trends and, by the time the new approaches were in vogue, they had already moved on to newer areas of experimentation.

Today is birth anniversary of Anjum Chopra is a cricket commentator, former cricketer and captain of India's national women's cricket team.  The first time she stepped onto the cricket ground was at the age of 9. She played her first friendly match with the college girls' team at the inter-college level, scoring 20 runs and taking 2 wickets. Later the same year she was selected to play for New Delhi in the under −15 tournament. She played various sports at an early age, representing her school and college in athletics, basketball, and swimming. She was also a member of the Delhi State basketball team that competed at nationals. Anjum made her debut in one-day internationals at the early age of 17, on 12 February 1995 against New Zealand at Christchurch, New Zealand, and made her debut in Test cricket a few months later against England at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on 17 November 1995. In only her second series for India the same year, she was awarded player of the series in the one-day internationals against the visiting England cricket team, scoring runs at an average of 67.5. She is a left-handed batswoman who bowls right-arm medium-fast. She has played in 12 Tests and 116 ODIs. She was coached by Sunita Sharma, Hardeep Dua and Tarak Sinha from Sonnet Club. She was also the first woman to score 1,000 runs in ODIs for India.Carving out a niche in the male-dominated sport in the country, Anjum has begun to be recognized as the face of women's cricket in India as a player, captain, consultant, commentator, motivational speaker, author, and actor. Anjum Chopra is both a Test and One Day International cricketer who represented India's national women's cricket team. She is currently working as a cricket commentator. She made her One Day International debut in 1995 against New Zealand at Christchurch. In the first ODI she opened the bowling for India, giving 14 runs in her 4 overs. Going in to bat at No 10 for India, she had a crucial partnership of 11 runs to secure the victory for India. The President, Shri Pranab Mukherjee presented the Padma Shri Award to Ms. Anjum Chopra, at an Investiture Ceremony-II, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, in New Delhi on April 26, 2014. The President, Smt. Pratibha Patil presented the Arjuna Award -2006 to Ms. Anjum Chopra for Cricket at a glittering function, in New Delhi on August 29, 2007
