Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated seven projects and laid the foundation stone of 11 more projects worth around 18,000 crore rupees at a special function in Dehradun. This includes the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor which will be built at a cost of around 8,300 crore rupees. It will significantly reduce the travel time from Delhi to Dehradun from six hours to around 2.5 hours. It will have Asia’s largest wildlife elevated corridor of 12 kilometers for unrestricted wildlife movement. The Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor will also have arrangements for rainwater harvesting at intervals of 500 meters and over 400 water recharge points.

राष्ट्रपति राम नाथ कोविंद ने कहा है कि संसदीय प्रणाली में विवेक, बुद्धिमानी और शिष्‍टाचार को बनाये रखने के लिए लोक लेखा समिति-पीएसी का महत्पूर्ण स्थान है। संसद के केन्‍द्रीय कक्ष में आयोजित लोक लेखा समिति के शताब्दी समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए श्री कोविंद ने कहा कि लोक लेखा के दर्शन को कौटिल्य के समय से ही नहीं बदला गया है। राष्ट्रपति ने इस अवसर पर समिति के एक सौ गौरवशाली वर्षों पर प्रकाशित एक विशेष स्मारिका का विमोचन भी किया। इसमें कुल 67 लेखहैं जिसमें 15 लेख राष्‍ट्रमंडल देशों से हैं। श्री कोविंद ने 1921 से 2021 तक पीएसी के ऐतिहासिक क्षणों को दर्शाने वाली एक प्रदर्शनी का भी उद्घाटन किया।

रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने कहा है कि सरकार का उद्देश्‍य 2024-25 तक 35 हजार करोड़ रुपये के रक्षा निर्यात के लक्ष्य को हासिल करना है। श्री सिंह ने कहा कि भारतीय निर्यात को बढ़ावा देना सरकार की सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि देश को आयातक के बजाय पूरी तरह निर्यातक बनाना है।

Over 126 crore 53 lakh doses of COVID vaccines have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry today said, more than 73 lakh 63 thousand vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry said, eight thousand 190 COVID patients recovered during the same period and the recovery rate stands at 98.35 percent.

Commissioner Secretary Cooperatives UT Ladakh Ravinder Kumar Dangi inaugurated the Kargil Co-operative Supermarket (pick & chose) along with CEC LAHDC Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan. He said that The focus to strengthen the Cooperative Movement is to make the products available in the market and to keep a check on the rates in the Market as fast-moving consumer goods) would be available for sale in the market with a 5-35% discount on MRP so that the customers can be benefited. Ravinder Kumar further said that such Markets are also coming up at Drass, Sankoo, Zanskar, Ciktan, and other places of the District. Referring to issues arising in Ladakh during winters, Ravinder Kumar said that the department is making adequate arrangements to stock essential items in advance and if required Essential commodities and fresh vegetables will be airlifted using Private Cargo Plans also. The Buddhist Gompa situated in the heart of the Itanagar City in Arunachal Pradesh is one of the tourist hotspots of the capital city. Today we will take a tour of this Gompa and know about it in detail.

The Mahayana Buddhist Gompa in Itanagar is also a Centre for Buddhist Culture. It is located on the top of a hill just above the State Museum in the Capital City of Arunachal Pradesh. Though it is situated in the heart of the city, the gompa is one of the most peaceful places, seems secluded from the busy hustle and bustle of the ever-growing urban jungle. Adorned with a beautiful gate at the base of the hill, a road spiraled up the hill to the gompa. The Gompa sits on top of the hill literally. A small but colorful gate marks the entrance of the Gompa. A white stupa with golden carvings stood just outside the main Gompa and against the backdrop of green rolling hills. Inside the gompa, there are pieces of art and decorations including sculptures and rainbow-colored murals. The artworks portray the imaginations and beliefs of Buddhism, with mythical beings, symbolism, and deities. In the backside of the gompa, there’s a malnourished statue of Lord Buddha beneath a papal tree. The statue depicts Lord Buddha’s early days when in pursuit of enlightenment he sat under a bodhi tree and starved himself causing severe malnourishment and physical hardship. The 14th Dalai Lama himself consecrated this Buddhist temple, which sits in a peaceful spot surrounded by mighty hills all around. Up from the hill, one can get a 360 view of most parts of Itanagar city. Apart from tourists, many local people come here to worship and connect with Buddha and his teachings. Many non- Buddhist local people come here to spend a few moments of peace in the silent and serene environment of the gompa.  Rakesh Doley, Itanagar.

Six universities of Telangana state have decided to implement a common academic calendar. Our correspondent gives more details:

Usually, every university will have its own academic calendar. However, keeping in view the national level, competitive exams, and other reasons, six universities in Telangana state have come together to follow a common academic calendar. These universities include the Osmania, Kakatiya, Palomar, Satavahana, Mahatma Gandhi, and Telangana universities. Telangana Higher Education Council, Chairman Prof Limbadri informed that the decision has been taken in a recent meeting with the vice-chancellors of these universities to implement a common academic calendar. Stating that these six universities were implementing their own academic calendar separately in the past, he said it was leading to a number of difficulties. These universities will hold the classes for PG courses as well as entrance semester exams simultaneously from the current academic year. The current academic calendar is likely to be released later during this month. Now, a common post-graduate entrance test will be held for admission into these 6 universities. रक्षा मंत्रालय की प्रमुख गतिविधियों में रक्षा मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह ने 02 दिसंबर को नई दिल्ली में सशस्त्र बल कॉर्पोरेट सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व (सीएसआर) सम्मेलन के तीसरे संस्करण के दौरान सशस्त्र बल फ्लैग डे कोष (एएफएफडीएफ) में प्रमुख योगदानकर्ताओं को सम्मानित किया। भारतीय स्टेट बैंक के अध्यक्ष श्री दिनेश खारा और कार्यकारी निदेशक सन टीवी समूह श्रीमती कावेरी कलानिधि उन प्रमुख योगदानकर्ताओं में से थे जिन्हें इस अवसर पर सम्मानित किया गया। अपने संबोधन में श्री राजनाथ सिंह ने उन सभी का आभार व्यक्त किया, जिन्होंने एएफएफडीएफ में बहुमूल्य योगदान दिया साथ ही उन्होंने पूर्व सैनिकों, वीर नारियों तथा उनके आश्रितों के पुनर्वास और कल्याण के लिए अधिक उदार ढंग से दान देने की अपील की। उन्होंने युद्ध के दौरान देश की अखंडता और संप्रभुता की रक्षा के साथ-साथ सीमा पार से आतंकवादी गतिविधियों का मुकाबला करने के लिए सशस्त्र बलों की वीरता और बलिदान की सराहना की। उन्होंने देश की सेवा में अपने प्राणों की आहुति देने वाले वीर जवानों को भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की।

आज नौसेना दिवस है।  हर साल दिसंबर की चार तारीख को नौसेना दिवस मनाया जाता है। राष्ट्र और भारतीय नौसेना के इतिहास में इस दिन का बहुत महत्व है क्योंकि यह भारत के लिए एक निर्णायक जीत का प्रतीक है, जब 1971 के भारत-पाक युद्ध में ऑपरेशन ट्राइडेंट के दौरान भारतीय नौसेना की मिसाइल नौकाओं ने कराची में पाकिस्तान के जहाजों, तेल प्रतिष्ठानों और तट रक्षा प्रतिष्ठानों पर सफलतापूर्वक अपनी मिसाइलें दागी थीं। इस महत्वपूर्ण दिन को मनाने और भारतीय नौसेना के बारे में सामान्य जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए, हर साल भारतीय नौसेना द्वारा सामुदायिक गतिविधियों और  समारोहों का आयोजन किया जाता है। इस अवसर पर नौसेना प्रमुख एडमिरल आर. हरि कुमार, पीवीएसएम, एवीएसएम, वीएसएम, एडीसी ने समस्त देशवाशियो को शुभकानाएं दी साथ ही देश की सुरक्षा के प्रति भारतीय नौसेना की प्रतिबद्धता को दोहराया।

एडमिरल आर. हरि कुमार, पीवीएसएम, एवीएसएम, वीएसएम, एडीसी ने 30 नवंबर को नौसेना स्टाफ के 25वें एडमिरल आर. हरि कुमार, पीवीएसएम, एवीएसएम, वीएसएम, एडीसी ने 30 नवंबर को नौसेना स्टाफ के 25वें प्रमुख के रूप में भारतीय नौसेना की कमान संभाली। उन्होंने एडमिरल करमबीर सिंह, पीवीएसएम, एवीएसएम, एडीसी का स्थान ग्रहण किया है, जो भारतीय नौसेना में 41 साल से अधिक के अपने शानदार करियर के बाद सेवानिवृत्त हुए हैं। एडमिरल आर. हरि कुमार का 38 वर्षों का शानदार करियर रहा है और नौसेना स्टाफ के प्रमुख के रूप में पदभार ग्रहण करने से पहले वे मुंबई में पश्चिमी नौसेना कमान के फ्लैग ऑफिसर कमांडिंग-इन-चीफ थे।

वाइस एडमिरल अजेंद्र बहादुर सिंह, एवीएसएम, वीएसएम ने वाइस एडमिरल आर. हरि कुमार, पीवीएसएम, एवीएसएम, वीएसएम, एडीसी से आईएनएस शिकरा में आयोजित शानदार औपचारिक परेड में पश्चिमी नौसेना कमान (डब्ल्यूएनसी) के फ्लैग ऑफिसर कमांडिंग-इन-चीफ (एफओसी-इन-सी), के रूप में पदभार ग्रहण किया। पश्चिमी नौसेना कमान के फ्लैग ऑफिसर कमांडिंग-इन-चीफ के रूप में कार्यभार संभालने से पूर्व, वाइस एडमिरल ए.बी. सिंह ने पूर्वी नौसेना कमान के फ्लैग ऑफिसर कमांडिंग-इन-चीफ के रूप में कार्य किया है। वह उन कुछ कमांडर-इन-चीफ में से एक हैं, जिन्हें भारतीय नौसेना के दोनों परिचालन कमान का नेतृत्व करने के लिए विशिष्ट सम्मान और अद्वितीय गौरव से सम्मानित किया गया है।

वाइस एडमिरल बिस्वजीत दासगुप्ता, एवीएसएम, वाईएसएम, वीएसएम ने 1 दिसंबर को नौसेना बेस में आयोजित एक शानदार समारोह में पूर्वी नौसेना के ईएनसी के फ्लैग ऑफिसर कमांडिंग. इन चीफ (एफओसी इन सी) के रूप में पदभार ग्रहण किया। वाइस एडमिरल दासगुप्ता ने सेरेमोनियल गार्ड का निरीक्षण किया । इस शानदार कार्यक्रम में जहाजों, पनडुब्बियों और अन्स संस्थानों के सभी फ्लैग ऑफिसर और कमांडिंग अधिकारियों ने भाग लिया ।

पुस्तक ‘सही फैसला’ बाल-पाठकों के लिए 23 कहानियों का पिटारा लेकर आई है। इस रोचक पिटारे के जरिये बाल-पाठकों को मनोरंजन के साथ-साथ असल जिंदगी के मायनों से भी रुबरु होने का मौका मिलेगा।

पुस्तक की कुछ कहानियां कोरोना महामारी की वजह से आम जीवन में आई उथल-पुथल को दर्शाती हैं। साथ ही ये कहानियां ‘आपदा में अवसर’ को भी चरितार्थ करती सिद्ध होती है जहां प्रकृति खुश है, नदियां निर्मल एवं स्वच्छ हो गई हैं, हरियाली ही हरियाली दिखाई दे रही है। इन्हीं कहानियों में मानव-जीवन का संघर्ष भी दिख रहा है जहां पर्व-त्योहार पर भी परिजनों से मिलना संभव नहीं हो रहा है और जीवन चहारदीवारियों में सीमित होकर रह गया है।

कहानी ‘किताबों में पंख’ के जरिए लेखक बाल-पाठकों को यह संदेश देते हैं कि जितने मजबूत मेहनत के पंख होंगे, जिंदगी में वे उतनी ऊंची उड़ान भर पाएंगे।

कहानियां ‘लौट आई हरियाली’ एवं ‘संदेश’ के माध्यम से यह देखने को मिलता है कि आज के बालक एवं किशोर वर्ग पर्यावरण संरक्षण के प्रति कितने संवेदनशील है एवं ये बच्चे बड़ों को भी प्रकृति का महत्व समझाने में कामयाब होते हैं।

कहानियां ‘बदली सोच’, ‘मुस्कान का राज’ एवं ‘दोस्ती का मतलब’ बाल-पाठकों को अमीर-गरीब सभी का सम्मान करना सिखाती है, साथ ही मुसीबत में पड़े प्राणियों की मदद करना भी बताती है।

कहानी ‘सपने का सबक’ बच्चों को फिजूलखर्ची से बचाती हैं, ‘नहीं चाहिए ऐसा उपहार’ बाल-मन को चकाचौंध भरी दुनिया से दूर रहना सिखाती है।

पुस्तक के लेखक डॉ. दर्शन सिंह ‘आशट’ पंजाबी के जाने-माने बाल साहित्यकार हैं एवं साहित्य अकादमी बाल साहित्य पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किए जा चुके हैं। वर्तमान में डॉ. आशट पंजाबी विश्वविद्यालय, पटियाला, पंजाब में कार्यरत हैं।

शशि कपूर का जन्म 18 मार्च, 1938 को जाने माने अभिनेता पृथ्वीराज कपूर के घर कलकत्ता में हुआ था। इनका असली नाम बलबीर राज कपूर था। मुंबई के डॉन बोस्को स्कूल से पढ़ाई पूरी कर, इन्होंने भी अपने पिता और भाइयों के नक़्शे कदम पर चलते हुए फ़िल्मों में अपनी तक़दीर आजमाई। शशि कपूर ने 40 के दशक से ही फ़िल्मों में काम करना शुरू कर दिया। शुरू में इन्होंने कई धार्मिक फ़िल्मों में भूमिकाएं निभाई। शशि के बड़े भाई राजकपूर ने उन्हें 1948 में बनी फिल्म ’आग’ और उसके बाद 1951 में बनी फिल्‍म ’आवारा’ में काम करने का मौका दिया। आवारा में शशि कपूर ने राजकपूर के बचपन का रोल किया था।

1965 का साल उनके लिए बहुत खास रहा। इसी साल यश चोपड़ा ने उन्हें भारत की पहली मल्टी स्टारर हिंदी फ़िल्म ’वक्त’ के लिए कास्ट किया और शशि कपूर की पहली जुबली फ़िल्म रिलीज़ हुई जिसका नाम था ’जब जब फूल खिले।

’जब जब फूल खिले, हसीना मन जाएगी और प्यार का मौसम जैसी फिल्मों ने शशि कपूर को एक चॉकलेटी हीरो के रूप में स्थापित कर दिया। फिल्मों में शशी कपूर के योगदान को देखते हुए 2010 में उन्हें फिल्मफेयर का लाइफटाइम एचीवमेंट पुरस्कार दिया गया। इसके बाद भारत सरकार ने भी 2011 में उन्हें पद्म भूषण और 2015 में दादासाहेब फाल्के पुरस्कार देकर सम्मानित किया। अपने खास अंदाज़ में छह दशक तक लोगों के हमराह बने शशी कपूर ने 4 दिसंबर 2017 को दुनिया को अलविदा कह दिया और उनके चाहने वाले उन्हें पुकारते रह गए।

In the ongoing BWF World Tour Finals in Bali, two-time Olympic medallist P V Sindhu defeated Japan's Akane Yamaguchi in the semi-finals by 21-15, 15-21, 21-19 match today.

Reigning world champion, Sindhu suffered a three-game defeat to top seed Pornpawee Chochuwong of Thailand in her third and final group A women's singles match yesterday. This was Sindhu's third loss to the 2016 world junior champion Chochuwong in seven meetings.

India's Lakshya Sen will now play Olympic Champion, Danish Viktor Axelsen later today.

देश के 12वें प्रधानमंत्री श्री इन्द्र कुमार गुजराल का जन्म 4 दिसम्बर 1919 को अविभाजित पंजाब के झेलम प्रांत में हुआ था। श्री गुजराल छोटी उम्र से ही स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में भाग लेने लगे थे। भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन में अपनी सक्रिय भूमिका के चलते  23 वर्ष की आयु में इन्हें जेल भी जाना पड़ा। अपने राजनीतिक काल में अन्य कई महत्वपूर्ण पदों के साथ श्री गुजराल ने सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री और विदेश मंत्री के रूप में भी कार्यभार संभाला और सोवियत संघ में भारत के राजदूत भी रहे। पी एच डी और डी. लिट. की उपाधि प्राप्त श्री गुजराल हिन्दी और अंग्रेजी के साथ उर्दू के भी अच्छे ज्ञाता थे। 30 नवम्बर 2012 में 92 वर्ष की आयु में इनका निधन हुआ।

Motilal Rajvansh (4 December 1910 – 17 June 1965) was an Indian actor and the winner of the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for Devdas (1955) and Parakh (1960). He is credited with being among Hindi cinema's first natural actors. He also directed the film Chhoti Chhoti Baten (1965), but died before its release. At the 13th National Film Awards, it won the award for Certificate of Merit for the Third Best Feature Film and he posthumously won the Certificate of Merit for the Best Story Writer. Motilal Rajvansh said of his screen career with characteristic humor: Married 100 times, died almost twice, never born but always brought down by a parachute.
