Women's cricket: Australia defeat India in summit clash of T20 tri-series at Melbourne

In Women's cricket, Australia defeated India by 11 runs in the summit clash of T20 tri-series at Melbourne today. Chasing a victory target of 156 runs, India were all out for 144 in in 20 overs.
Smriti Mandhana could manage to give a solitary substantial contribution of 66 runs. Earlier, Australia won the toss and chose to bat. The hosts put up a total of 155 runs for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Beth Mooney was the highest scorer with 71 not out while Ashleigh Gardener and Skipper Meg Lanning contributed 26 runs each. Deepti Sharma and Rajeshwari Gaikwad scalped two wickets each wicket while Radha Yadav and Arundhati Reddy took one each for India.
