Novak Djokovic has advanced to the fourth round of Men’s Singles beating Kei Nishikori in US Open Tennis.

The world number one overcame a loose first set to win 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 and defeated the Japanese for the 17th time in a row. The Serb is aiming for a Men’s record 21st Grand Slam title.

In Women’s Singles, World No 1 Ashleigh Barty and defending Wimbledon champion, bowed out of the tournament after losing to unseeded Shelby Rogers of the United States 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (5) in the third round. The exit of the top-seeded Australian, a day after the shocking exit of third-seeded Naomi Osaka, has thrown the US Open women’s tournament wide open.
