Domestic benchmark share indices today witnessed gains of around half a percent. The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed above the 65,800 mark while the Nifty 50 at the National Stock Exchange settled beyond the 19,600 level.
The Sensex climbed 320 points or 0.5 percent to end at 65,828. Similarly, Nifty 50 advanced 115 points or 0.6 percent to settle at 19,638. Both indices registered gains amid positive cues from global share markets.
In the broader market at the BSE, the Mid-Cap index rose 1.3 percent while and the Small-cap index was up by 0.6 percent.
