Regional Met Department predicts rains in coastal areas

The Regional Met Department has predicted rains in coastal areas due to the lower air circulation prevailing in Bay of Bengal. Speaking to the media in Chennai on Monday, he said that there is also another air circulation near Kanyakumari in the Bay of Bengal. He said that in the next five days, there would be light to moderate rains in the coastal areas. In the next 24 hours, intermittent showers are predicted for the inner districts also. The Weather department predicted heavy rains in one or two areas of the delta and the northern districts in Tamil Nadu.
