68th National film Awards distribution ceremony was held yesterday. President of India Smt.Droupadi Murmu felicitated the recipients of various awards.
MIT ADT University's Film and Theatre student Vishesh Iyer, who is pursuing BSc in Filmmaking, won the 68th National Film Award for 'Most Promising Debut' by a non-feature film Director for his Graduation project film, 'Pariah'.
Expressing happiness for getting the prestigious National Award the young filmmaker said that it was an unbelievable experience for him.
It was since childhood that he wanted to be part of the filmmaking process. Despite many challenges, he perused his passion for filmmaking.
He thanked MIT for giving him a platform. He added that the award has intensified his love for cinema.
