Over 201 crore 30 lakh vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. The Health Ministry said, over 37 lakh six thousand doses were administered yesterday. The recovery rate is currently at 98.46 per cent. Over 21 thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries have reached four crore 31 lakh 71 thousand 653.
Over 21 thousand new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. India's Active caseload currently stands at One lakh 49 thousand four hundred 82. Active cases stand at 0.34 per cent. The daily Positivity Rate is at 4.42 per cent and Weekly Positivity Rate is at 4.51 per cent. Sixty deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. Over 87 crore 16 lakh tests have been conducted so far. Over four lakh 95 thousand tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry today said that more than 193 crore 70 lakh vaccine doses have been provided to States and Union Territories so far through the Centre's free-of-cost channel and through the direct state procurement category. It said, more than eight crore seven lakh balance and unutilised COVID vaccine doses are still available with the States and UTs to be administered.
As part of the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, the Centre has been supporting the States and UTs by providing them with COVID vaccines free of cost. In the new phase of the universalisation of the COVID-19 vaccination drive, the Centre procures and supplies free of cost 75 per cent of the vaccines being produced by the vaccine manufacturers in the country for States and UTs.
