Nitu Ghanghas clinches Gold in 48 kg category of the IBA Womens World Boxing Championship

Indian Woman boxer, Nitu Ghanghas clinched Gold in 48-kilogram category of the IBA Womens World Boxing Championship at  K.D. Jadhav Hall IG Stadium New Delhi. Nitu defeated Mongolia’s Altantsetseg Lutsaikhan 5-0 via unanimous decision today. She became the only sixth Indian boxer, male or female, to win a World championship.

In the semifinals, Commonwealth Champions Nitu Ghanghas had defeated Kazakh Alua Balkibekova.
 
In another match, Saweety Boora will take on her rival Lina Wang of China in the 81-kilogram category.
