New India is getting strong base due to empowerment of farmers, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that from animal husbandry to fisheries, forestry to the sweet revolution, the government has made numerous efforts to boost the income of farmers through allied activities.

In a tweet, Mr Modi said, New India is getting a strong base due to the empowerment of the country's farmers. He said, the government has focused on their all-round development in every sector from seed to market.

The Prime Minister said, it is only because of the determination of our farmers that India is setting a new example in the agriculture sector. He said, the government is fully committed to provide 100 percent benefits of the schemes to the farmers.

Mr Modi said, from PM-Kisan Scheme to record budget allocation, MSP of one and a half times the cost of production and from soil health card to e-NAM, there are many such schemes, which have given new strength to the Annadatas, the Farmers.
