National Youth Festival to be organized from January 12

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is organizing a week long National Youth Festival in the country commencing from the 12th of this month. Every year, the festival is being held to commemorate the birth anniversary of youth icon Swami Vivekananda.
This year the festival has been organised in virtual mode and talent from every state has been included. Crucial components of the National Youth Festival are the competitive events which include competitive and non-competitive cultural events, martial arts, exhibitions, intellectual discourses, young artists camps, seminars and adventure programmes. The presentation of National Youth Awards also takes place during this festival.
Speaking exclusively to AIR News, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijuju informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event on 12th of this month which will culminate with an event of Youth Parliament which will be held in the Central Hall of the Parliament.
