Milk marketers report robust milk sales for December

Milk marketers have reported robust milk sales for December. Milk marketing co-operative, Amul said it saw record milk sales during December, while Mother Dairy said its milk sales in the household category grew to the pre-COVID levels.

Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation says liquid milk sales in December rose 8 per cent on increased household consumption. But institutional sales, comprising hotel, restaurant and canteen segments, slumped to 40 per cent below normal.
