Manipur records six deaths due to COVID-19 in last 24 hours

In Manipur, six persons expired due to COVID-19 infection in the past twenty four hours taking the total fatality due to the pandemic in the State to 138.

On the other hand, 245 persons including 12 personnel from the Central Armed Police Force were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases in the past twenty four hours making the total count of positive cases so far in the State to 17022.

Among the new cases, 233 persons are local and do not have travel history. They are suspected to be infected through local transmission.
One hundred fifty seven persons were discharged in the past twenty four hours in the State and the recovery rate has further decreased to 74.72 percent. Total recovered cases stand at 12719 while the number of active cases is 4165.
