Major unlocking process begins in Gujarat

In Gujarat, a major unlocking process begins from today following sharp fall in Covid19 cases.
 
According to the new unlock guidelines; all religious places along with the markets have opened from this morning with certain restrictions. 
 
The state government has granted permission to open the various sectors of the economy, including hotels, restaurants, gyms and religious places.
 
The decision to ease the mini-lockdown was announced two days ago in a state level core committee meeting at Gandhinagar.
 
AIR correspondent reports, following the major unlocking after the deadly second wave of Covid19, the hotels, restaurants, markets and religious places have been opened from today.
 
Now Hotels and restaurants can operate between 9 AM to 7 PM with 50 per cent sitting capacity.
 
Until now only home delivery of food was allowed.
 
The state government has also allowed the opening of parks, gardens and libraries between 6 AM to 7 PM.
 
The political, social, religious, and cultural programs will be held with the attendance of maximum 50 persons.
 
All religious places will remain open with not more than 50 devotees at a time.
 
Famous Somnath and Ambaji temples are providing online booking slots for the devotees. 
 
All commercial establishments including shops remain open 9 AM to 7 PM.
 
Gymnasiums also reopen with 50 per cent capacity under the strict implementation of Covid19 protocols. 
 
Public bus services including State Transport buses now running with 60 per cent capacity.
 
Examinations and tests required for admissions to colleges and universities in foreign countries can also be held.
 
However, the night curfew will continue in 36 cities of the state from 9 PM to 6 AM.
 
Cinema halls and multiplexes will remain close.
 
State government is likely to announce more unlock measures from 26th June after reviewing the Covid19 situation.
