Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Gandhian values are relevant at all times. Addressing the students at 36th Convocation Ceremony of Gandhigram Rural Institute at Dindigul in Tamil Nadu, he said that the development of the Nation depended on the youth of the Country. Mr. Modi said that India has become self-sufficient in the manufacturing sector.
He said that Mahatma's teachings are relevant in today's world. He recalled the visit of Mahatma Gandhi during the inauguration of the Gandhi Gram University. Mr. Modi conferred the honorary doctorate to Music Maestro Ilayaraja and Instrumentalist Umayalpuram Sivan during the event.
