Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has stressed that consistent efforts must be done to bring India among the top 10 countries in the global innovation index.
While addressing the National IP Conference and Awards function in New Delhi today, the Minister said, India has jumped to the 40 rank in the Global Innovation Index from 81st rank in seven years.
Highlighting the importance of innovation, he said, innovation helps to do things efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.
He said, high level of transparency, integrity, efficiency, and speed will be the defining feature of country's innovation ecosystem in the coming years.
