Congress releases election manifesto focussing on farmers, youth, women for Bihar Assembly Elections

In Bihar, Congress party today released its election manifesto focussing on farmers, youth and women for the State Assembly Elections. The manifesto named Badlav Patra (document for transformation) was released jointly by Party General Secretary Randeep Surjewala, senior leader Raj Babbar and Shakti Sinh Gohil at Sadaqat Ashram in Patna.
Mr. Surjewala said, if voted to power, the Grand Alliance Government will reject recently passed farm reform legislations, it will waive the agriculture loan and electricity bill of agrarian people of the state. He said, better irrigation facilities will be provided to farmers and small farmers will get cheaper farm loans at the rate of four per cent interest. He said, Right to Water will be implemented in the state that will ensure access to potable water for all.
The manifesto of the party says, it will create opportunities for youths. Better eco-system would be developed for investment and industries in the state. Mr Surjewala said that all religious circuits like Buddha, Sufi and others will be interconnected.
Party State in-Charge Shakti Sinh Gohil said, the education from KG to PG will be free to girls. The government will provide scooty to the girl student who tops in Intermediate exams with 90 per cent marks. He said, 10 lakh permanent jobs will be created in the first meeting of the State Cabinet.
Mr Gohil said, every unemployed youth will get an allowance of 1,500 rupees. He promised that honorary pension of 800 rupees per month will be given to senior citizens and women. Besides this, a monthly pension of 1,000 rupees has been promised for those above 80 years of age.
