Nagaland reports 79 fresh cases of COVID-19

Nagaland has reported 79 fresh cases of COVID-19 today, taking the total count to 8,515. In addition, 2 more COVID deaths have been registered today. So far 24 persons succumbed to the infection, while 6 deaths cases are not related to COVID and 2 cases are under investigation. According to the Health Department COVID-19 bulletin, of the 79 cases, 42 are amongst the traced contacts, 34 Armed Forces/ Security personnel, 2 returnees and one frontline worker.

Presently, there are 1,815 active cases, of which 1,727 are asymptomatic cases and 88 cases are symptomatic. The state’s tally of recovered persons now stands at 6,598 having the recovery rate of 77.49 percent. Meanwhile, 70 cases have migrated.
