Nearly 90 percent of India's airspace has been opened up as a green zone for drones flying up to 400 feet to make India a global drone hub by 2030. In a written reply in Lok Sabha, Union Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said that as on 25th July this year, there are 63 remote Pilot Training Organisations authorised by DGCA for imparting drone training across the country. He said the government has taken a series of reform measures, including the UAS traffic management policy framework, Production Linked incentive scheme, Mission Drone Shakti and others.
