More than 75 percent of candidates participated on the first day of the Common University Entrance Test, CUET (UG)-2024 examination held yesterday. As per the National Testing Agency, the examination was conducted smoothly at all the locations in the country and abroad. A total of 11.4 lakh candidates were scheduled to take the exam at two thousand one hundred and fifty seven centres in 379 cities on day one of the examination this year. Earlier, NTA said that the Common University Entrance Test, CUET (UG) scheduled for 15th May has been postponed for Delhi centres due to unavoidable reasons which will now be held on 29th of May.
The NTA is conducting the CUET (UG) – 2024 in a hybrid mode spanning over eight days, utilizing both Computer Based Test and Pen and Paper formats. NTA said that the examination is being conducted for over 13 lakh candidates who have opted for approximately 58 lakh combinations of subjects.
The CUET (UG) provides a single window opportunity to students seeking admission in any of the Central Universities or other organizations including State Universities, Deemed and Private Universities across the Country.
