The written examination for recruitment of more than 60,000 posts of constables in UP police has started from today in Uttar Pradesh. Across the state a total of 1,174 examination centers have been set up in 67 districts for the examination which will continue on 24, 25 August and then on 30 and 31 August 2024.
More than 48 lakhs candidates will participate in these ongoing examinations that are being held in 2 shifts wherein candidates from across the country are taking part in. For the convenience of the candidates, the UP government is providing free travel facility to the candidates in roadways buses by showing their admit cards. Special trains have also been run by the railways for the examination.
Thousands of police personnel have been deployed for security arrangements to ensure smooth, fair and transparent conduct of the examination. Director General of Police Uttar Pradesh Shri Prashant Kumar said that adequate arrangements have been made to ensure that the candidates do not face any inconvenience. He said that there is no information about the paper being leaked and strict action will be taken against those who are spreading misleading news.
