In Maharashtra least 6, people were killed and 19 others were injured in a head-on collision between two private vehicles on National Highway No. 6 in Malkapur town of Buldhana district. The accident took place around 3 am.
 
Police rushed to the spot after getting the information and started rescue operations. The death toll in this accident is likely to increase. This is the second incident of private vehicle accident in Buldhana district within a month.

Expressing grief over this tragic incident, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde announced compensation. 5 lakhs rupees each to the relatives of the deceased from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. According to CMO, he has sought details of this accident from the Buldhana District Collector and gave instructions to the administration to provide appropriate medical treatment to the injured at government expense
