The 55th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is set to begin tomorrow in Goa and will continue until 28th November 2024 . At a press conference yesterday, Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Entertainment Society of Goa, provided details about the event.
Dr. Sawant announced that 180 international films from 81 countries will be screened during the festival. Free transport facilities will be available to ensure seamless travel across festival venues. The festival will witness the presence of renowned personalities from the film industry, including A.R. Rahman, R. Madhavan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Pankaj Kapur, among others. This year, Australia has been chosen as the Country of Focus.
The Goa state government has ensured all necessary arrangements, including robust security measures, to guarantee the safety of participants and attendees. With its diverse narratives and innovative cinematic voices, IFFI 2024 promises to be a grand celebration of global cinema and cultural exchange.
