503 nominations were found valid and 183 nominations rejected for Lok Sabha constituencies in Andhra Pradesh. 2,705 nominations were approved and 939 nominations were rejected for Assembly Constituencies.

In a press release, State Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena informed that a total of 686 nominations were filed for 25 Lok Sabha constituencies and 3,644 nominations for 175 Assembly Constituencies.

Mr. Meena said that maximum 36 nominations were approved for Nandyala and least 12 nominations were approved for Rajahmundry Lok Sabha Constituencies. Similarly maximum 48 nominations have been approved for Tirupati and least 6 nominations for Chodavaram Assembly constituencies.

In Andhra Pradesh, assembly elections will be held simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls on May 13.
