In Maharashtra, today was the fourth day of nominations for the assembly elections in the state. Candidates across parties filed their nominations today. The last day for nominations is 29 October. The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena released its fourth list of candidates today.
Many key candidates, including Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, filed their nomination papers today for the Maharashtra legislative assembly elections. Mr. Fadnavis is set to enter the fray from Nagpur South West. The Deputy Chief Minister filed his nomination papers along with a grand rally, following a meeting with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Additionally, Shiv Sena leader and state minister Uday Samant filed his nomination from Ratnagiri, BJP leader Ashish Shelar from Bandra West, Shiv Sena leader Pratap Sarnaik from Ovla-Majiwada, and Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar from the Colaba assembly constituency. Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has released its fourth list of five candidates. According to reports, discussions regarding seat-sharing arrangements in both the ruling Mahayuti and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi are in final stages.
