The continuous heavy rainfall from the monsoon in Himachal Pradesh over the past several hours has severely impacted normal life. Incidents like landslides and floods are being reported from various places. As per the latest information, due to the heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours, around 452 roads, including 2 national highways, are blocked. The water levels in rivers and streams have risen. The heavy rainfall has disrupted power and water supply in several areas of the state, and traffic movement on contact roads is also suspended.

The State Disaster Management Authority has urged people to stay vigilant and report any incidents of flooding, landslides, or other emergencies to local authorities, enabling prompt relief efforts.
In response to the active monsoon conditions, the Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall alert for most parts of the state for the next 24 hours. Considering the weather forecast, the state government has decided to keep all schools and educational institutions closed for today.
