43rd All India Police Equestrian Competition Begins in Haryana’s Panchkula

The 43rd All India Police Equestrian Competition & Mounted Police Duty Meet- 2024-25 kicked off with a grand ceremony at the Indo-Tibetan Police Force Primary Training Centre, Bhanu in Panchkula district of Haryana. The event was inaugurated by Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav as the Chief Guest.

       

Deputy Inspector General, Basic Training Centre, Bhanu, Brig. G.S. Gill said that the 588 male and female equestrians along with teams from 19 States and Central Armed Police Forces from across the country will compete in various competitions in ranking, individual, team and mixed categories in this 10-day championship.

       

Chief Guest Gaurav Yadav appreciated the excellent preparations made by the ITBP and Basic Training Centre, Bhanu and called it an excellent platform to hone and showcase the equestrian talents of the police forces.

       

The All India Police Games, with a glorious tradition of 74 years, are organised under the All India Police Sports Control Board. ITBP hosted this championship in 2014 and 2022 and is now organising it for the third time. This competition will conclude on 23 March 2025.
