In Mexico, at least 41 people lost their lives in a tragic accident yesterday when a bus collided with a truck near the small city of Escárcega in southern Mexico. The Tabasco state government confirmed the death toll in a statement, noting that recovery efforts were ongoing, including the identification of those killed. Images from the scene show the bus completely burned out, engulfed in flames following the collision. The bus operator said that the vehicle had been carrying 48 passengers and was travelling from Cancun to Tabasco when it collided with a truck.
