In Uttarakhand, four Nepali workers died after being buried under the debris of a landslide near Fata in Rudraprayag district late at night. As soon as the information about the accident was received, a team of the State Disaster Response Force reached the spot and pulled out the bodies from the debris.

Badrinath National Highway in Chamoli district is blocked for movement due to landslides at various places. At the same time, a 10-meter portion of the road collapsed following heavy rains in Banas ahead of Phulchatti on the Yamunotri National Highway in Uttarkashi district. The movement of big vehicles has been stopped on this route, although the movement of small vehicles continues.

Meanwhile, the Met Department has issued an orange alert of heavy to very heavy rain at some places in Dehradun and Bageshwar districts today. Rain is also expected in other parts of the state.
